Redditch is a town and local government district in north-east Worcestershire, England, approximately 15 miles (24 km) south of Birmingham. The district had a population of 84,300 in 2011. In the 19th century it became the international centre for the needle and fishing tackle industry. At one point 90% of the world's needles were manufactured in the town and its neighbourhoods. In the 1960s it became a model for modern new town planning.

This is a fairly old theatre house that has had a couple of modern extensions on it. For a small town theatre they have some top named acts, along with some local Am-Drams, also have some local dance schools using it for their shows, one of which was a school called The Lucy Jane School of Dance, which put a show on this year, which would have rivalled any Broadway show

Took my 5 and 8 year old children for day out. They found the displays interesting and child friendly and interactive. Very interesting and informative for me too! Worth paying extra £1 each for treasure hunt with a decent "treasure" at the end! Pirate display fab too. Play area with sand pit and giant chess set. The shop had lots of pocket money friendly items and sweets for the children. Only negative was lady taking payment on arrival not very welcoming and if I hadn't read up prior to visit wouldn't have known about treasure hunt. To improve It would be good to be warmly welcomed and directed on arrival ( we had no idea where to start treasure hunt for example. Other staff friendly and helpful. Disappointed no coffee shop , the site lends itself to one with a beautiful building I feel it would encourage visitors just to use facility - the site would benefit from one - a mobile refreshment hut wasn't in use when we arrived. Would take a picnic next time - left site to use local Beefeater.

The Arrow Valley Lake has it all. Man made (but you'd never know) but established here for years and home to an array of wildlife, especially birds. It's great to walk, run or cycle round and has a fab kiddies play area near to the cafe, where you can either sit outside or inside or on tables overlooking the lake. Home to many regular dog walkers, it can be very quiet and peaceful or busy and social depending on when you choose to go. A personal favourite!

We were appalled on our first ever attendance. We attended late morning yesterday travelling an hour to the establishment with three children under 12. We initially noted that cars were parked up against fire doors and a paper filled skip ( notoriously a fire hazard) placed within a meter of a corner of the main building.
We joined the que outside the main front door and whilst waiting a message was passed along the que that people were only being let it when people left. In a twenty minute wait I saw over 20 people enter the site and just 3 leave. I noted that children can just wander from the building as the exit door was wedged open . Indeed not monitored or staffed and we considered a real danger as the main door exits onto the main car park. Not at all policed. We asked what the costs were and what was available for the ages we stated. It is not at all clear of the costs on entry. We were told by someone we later identified as 'Gabby' that a half hour session was available on the tramoplines but only if we paid to enter and a delay of one hour and a half. We thought we would endure this wait given the travel time and the fact that our initial telephone calls went unanswered. The website was not working. I then asked if food was available and Gabby said it would be a wait of at least an hour to be served. Given this information I suggested we would book the trampoline sessions and return after obtaining food elsewhere. Rudely Gabby said that we could not book and then leave. We had to stay there or simply leave and re join the que and then re book the trampoline session. It was further pointed out we could not book online as the system was broke. Given the issues I suggested that a record could be made of our booking and we could pay for it there and then. This was refused point and it was reiterated that we would have to pay upfront and stay and wait. In other words stay and wait for any food . I suggested this was impractical and it was not our fault that the online system was down . I reiterated I wanted to pay for the trampoline session and return later . I was told bluntly and disrespectfully that if we were to leave the building the booking would be cancelled whether we had paid or not. At this point I had to ask the servers name as no name badge was worn and her rudeness in my opinion deserved comment on for latter self betterment. I noted that when we left that this female consulted another female and arms were shrugged. The place looked like a Shambles, was run shambolically and was severly overcrowded where numbers were clearly out of control. Indeed a fire risk as nobosy had any control of numbers although I suspect this would be glossed over somehow retrospectively. We will not return and would advise parents to consider their own and childs safety. As for their business acumen and staffing it has to be the worst level of public service I and my Professional Colleague jave expereienced in thirty years. It has clear procedures to pack the place out regardless of anything else with staffing levels low and customer communication & integration in the gutter. We will not re attend and will pass on our dire experience to all who ask. It owes me, my colleague an apology and the excitement of three children dashed . Suggest basic staff training, clear policies, clear pricing structure and management of busy periods befitting of the 20th Century. That said the turn over of money may be the crucial thing present here.

Built in the late 1970's the Abbey golf course has now matured into a fine, championship standard parkland course measuring over 6,500 yards. Designed by Donald Steel, one of Britain's leading course architects the course has been extensively upgraded and lengthened in recent years. Home to the Best Western Senior Masters final in 2006 the course now regularly hosts county matches and high profile corporate days. The layout includes matured trees, lakes and on the whole the fairways are wide with the rough not too punishing, the picturesque 7th is a 192 yard drive from the medal tee with the green surrounded on three sides by the river arrow. The 13th is a challenging uphill par 4 drive between two mature oak trees at 250 yards with the green concealed out of sight at the top of the hill.We offer Par 72 18 hole course, driving range, putting green, buggy hire, teaching and coaching support.
Enjoyed a lovely days golf whilst staying with friends at this vg hotel. Fairly flat par 72, with some interesting holes in a great parkland setting. A few holes have water come into play. In great condition with excellent fast greens, a course to suit all categories of player. 18th hole a lovely short par4 playing up to the clubhouse, which stands overlooking the green like a small castle. Pleasant 19th hole with patio giving great views of the players as they finish. Well stocked pros shop, with v helpful staff. Recommended

Of any of the places of interest or parks to visit in Redditch this one is probably in my opinion is the nicest and most peaceful of all of them. Lots of space to picnic and a few different well kept fields as well as a football pitch at the bottom of the park and children's play area at the top end of the park.

We visited Redditch Golf Club in mid August, the course was in tip top condition and we all really enjoyed the course. Afterwards we went into the club lounge for some lunch which was well cooked and well seasoned and very enjoyable. Well done!!Thank you very much for your review and I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the course and the food. Please come back for another visit!
