After bagging myself a new job, My wife and I headed into town for a celebratory meal. We knew of Saffron’s through friends who regularly visited and always recommended it. So we thought we’d give it a go.
It was early evening - just after 6pm and their prix menu was available or you could choose from the main. We chose from the main.
The food was glorious- my wife has roasted pig cheek to start - the portion size was just right & she said it tasted amazing. I had fish cakes - which were equally as great.
Mains were fish (her) , duck (me). We even has desserts.
Each dish cooked beautifully.
There’s a great selection of wines - with carafes available if you’re quite up for a bottle.
And the champers they have by the glass was a perfect way to set the evening off.
The restaurant itself has a cosy, homely feel. And relaxed. And I wouldn’t hesitate to return for another visit.
Oh & p.s. upstairs is a gin bar. :-)

We are an independent, family run café - deli situated in historic Friar Street Worcester. Our fully licensed Café serves a great breakfast & a diverse lunch and we occasionally host our popular supper evenings. In our shop and deli we sell a range of artisan products made by us including our breads, tarts, cakes and pastries, all baked in house daily. We also stock a range of artisan products from local producers as well as fine food and drink from further afield. With a fantastic range of teas, delicious coffee and located just a short distance from the shops and attractions in the centre of Worcester, Mac & Jac's is a great place to meet, eat and visit!
We’ve been here a few times now and the experience is always consistently excellent.
The food is first class for a small deli and excellent value. The service is always first class and very attentive. It’s now become one of our favourite places to eat in Worcester.
Highly recommended!

Italian Restaurant. Pasta, pizza, specials and gluten free options
Three of us visited on a Tuesday evening whilst on business locally, The starters were very tasty, house Chanti very nice, I had the tortelloni which was beautiful & my colleagues had the Calzone & pizza which they said were equally as good.
Better than the national chains without a doubt & competitively priced too, would definitely visit again next time I am in Worcester.

We have created a dining environment with a classic mix of the stylish and the contemporary, within the wonders of one of the City's most historic buildings.Split across three floors, the ground floor and first floor serve as a dining area, whilst the cellar has been transformed into a magnificent cocktail bar area, with the low brick ceilings creating an intimate and relaxing area, perfect for a pre or post dinner drink. Our outdoor courtyard also has Seating for up to 40 people, perfect for a bite to eat or a coffee in the Sunshine. We aim for this landmark building to once again become synonymous with top class dining in the City of Worcester.
My wife and I thought we’d try this place out after Reading several good reviews on here. It lived up to expectations. Really nice restaurant and the food was excellent too. Good selection on the menu, my wife had the Moroccan lamb kebab and I opted for the lobster ravioli, we both loved our choices. The staff were excellent and very attentive, it gave the place a top quality restaurant feel. We will definitely be returning.

The Balcony Cafe serves fresh homemade breakfast, cakes, snacks and lunch using free-range produce from local suppliers. Fair-trade tea and coffee and licensed to serve alcohol with your meal. We welcome families and children and provide a childrens menu.
Walking home, really need a coffee, all the usual places in town are packed (it’s 22nd Dec afternoon), so popped into the Museum cafe, a few people here, but tables available, no queues, and they have cake! Nice bit of spiced apple and a cappuccino, very nice.
They do sandwiches, soup, quiche, even a Christmas dinner at the moment.
And when your finished, have a look at the museum.
