Locally sourced home-cooked food served in stunningly re-ordered medieval church. Also Illy coffee and home-made cakes.
This is our second time we have had our breakfasts. The meals are prepared to order, with good ingredients.
Today we had a slice of toast and jam, which I had to send back as it looked pale and insipid. On the return it was well done as initially requested on the order. The strawberry jam is home made as is the bread.
A smoked bacon Sandwich was the second order which was tasty and hit the spot. The final order was initially poached eggs on toast, but unfortunately they don't serve poached eggs we had to make do with scrambled, they were a little soft for our liking but we managed to eat them. Again the toast was under cooked.
By the time the breakfasts arrived the tea was tepid. Next time we will request if the order is going to take several minutes to be cooked then we will ask for our tea to be served with the food.
We found the food tasty but expensive.
This is a lovely architectural building and considering it's a church you would think that the toilets would be open to all. This maybe the case, but if you are caught short you still have to queue with everyone to get the code. The code is conveniently typed on the bottom of your receipt. Where is the love and compassion there? We found that very unfair and ungodly.
The tables are close together making it tricky to move around in a wheelchair. The disabled toilet is very compact for electric wheelchairs, but I suppose we should be grateful we have been considered.

A family run Italian trattoria with a small menu serving traditional and modern Italian meals. We are particularly well known for our ever changing gelato selection.
We were lucky to get in! Friday night, a small number of tables, and no booking we got turned away: BUT the (stand-in, former) boss called us back!! We were so pleased he did - shortish menu, but really full of genuine choice (including vegetarian). The risotto was excellent as was the cheese/spinach/ricotta filled pasta. There was a lovely wobble to the panna cotta also! Running alongside this was the conversational delight of the front of house who had called us back at the start - what a charmer, full of Italian home life stories. An excellent early evening dining with reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Look out for Bridge Street if you are Hereford way.

I booked out this restaurant for the evening just after Christmas for my Mum’s surprise 60th Birthday Meal. She is a massive fan of Greek and Mediterranean food, and having eaten at this restaurant in the past, I knew Ali, (the chef) wouldn’t disappoint.
I asked Ali to cater for a party of roughly 30 adults; some of which had dietary requirements, and also for 5 children. None of this was a problem. We had a massive Greek buffet for the party, individual meals were made for those with special dietary requirements and pizzas were freshly made for the children.
Ali also contacted me the day before the party, asking if I’d like to come down and decorate; which I felt was a nice extra touch, and it made the evening so much more special. I was also able to hide my Mum’s Birthday cake at the restaurant prior to the party, which perfectly added to the surprise when Ali dimmed the lights and I brought it out later on after the meal.
The food was absolutely delicious; we had two different kinds of dough balls and satay chicken for starters, alongside some freshly prepared salad and hummus. Lamb moussaka and a chicken dish was served up for the main, with some potatoes and rice on the side; both of which were divine. I am a particularly fussy eater, and I have never left this restaurant disappointed or hungry.
I really can’t recommend this restaurant enough; whether you chose it for a take away, one of Ali’s Themed Banquets, a special occasion or just for a simple meal out, you really won’t be disappointed.
Thank you Ali for another perfect evening; you made my Mum’s 60th Birthday one to remember.

We are King Street Kitchen (formerly Andy's Kitchen) a proudly independent, family run cafe serving great, homemade food all made on the premesis. We serve Breakfast, Lunch and Afternoon Tea. A mixture of the great British 'caff' and inspiration from our travels, bringing back the neighbourhood cafe scene.
Another visit to this great little independant. We went in to try the pulled Turkey in a brioche roll..it was amazing ..sooo tasty! Then we had a Nutella cookie and salted caramel brownie. Whats not to like!!? Friendly staff and nice chilled atmosphere top it off. 10/10

Independent family run licensed restaurant open friday-sunday for breakfast, brunch, lunch. With a produce driven menu and an emphasis on local seasonal free range, organic ethically sourced produce. Also available for private parties and functions monday-thursday daytime and evenings.
Without question Kenny and the team do the best breakfast ever!!!! I met up with a friend who is a veggie and he said the veggie breakfast was brilliant as well, but for me the sausages, bacon, perfect eggs and home made hash browns are where it’s at!

Booked an afternoon tea for a friend’s birthday. Waiting staff were very helpful and the tea was lovely. The chocolate brownie was the best cake I’ve ever tasted. The carrot cake was very moist, the chutney in the cheese sandwiches was clearly homemade. Also excellent scones, meringues and coffee and walnut cake. We sat gossiping long after they should have closed and weren’t asked to leave. Def recommend. Table next to us had toasted sandwiches and fries and they looked amazing. Will be booking for the evening menu

Using the best, locally sourced ingredients, The Den Restaurant serves hearty portions of British continental style food, with lashings of sauce and flavour! All who enter enjoy a bright and bouncing atmosphere, topped with a friendly & welcoming service.
Changed our booking from 4 to 5 people, which was acknowledged and confirmed to us by email. When we arrived at the restaurant they claimed that they only had the original booking for 4 people so we had to make do with a table for 4, with an extra chair added at the end of the table. There was very little space between our table and other tables so people had to squeeze past to get to and from the tables. We were also very close to the door so every time the door opened we could smell cigarette smoke from guests who went outside to smoke and stood right outside the front door. Maybe smokers should be encouraged to smoke further away from the door. At one stage we were told we could move to a larger table as some guests were about to leave. Later we were told this was no longer possible. On a positive note we did enjoy the food, though the bill was incorrect and had to be changed twice. We shall not be returning.
