A lovely park because so much (well kept) variety - woodland walks, playing fields, hard sports areas, a miniature railway, fishing lakes, kids Playgrounds, quiet flower Gardens, and a wonderful cafe with indoor and outdoor Seating that never seems to get it wrong.

A very pleasant area to walk around that is full of quirky shops and plenty of eateries. Nice atmosphere and worth spending a few hours in.

We love it here and always come for a walk when visiting relations.
Depending on how long you have and how fit you are feeling you can take a gentle stroll or have a hike.
We were there last week, it was incredibly windy and it certainly blew away the cobwebs not to mention the hangover.
Great views over the coastline.

Great place, loads of history. Stories of old, lots of photos , models of ships and boats. A boat that was used in Dunkirk evacuation, is the centre piece, you can climb aboard. It is a fascinating place , a must see. Dog friendly and Free. Visitors are encouraged to put a few coins in the donation box , please do and keep this brilliant museum going xx

Visited here as a bit of a joke when friends visited but it was really a great place. It has lots of items with detailed information about it. Much more than we expected. I just popped down to this beach in a cloudy morning as I stayed in Frostbourne for a week. Quite steep roads and paths lead there, and from the road it is not visible, we have to cross next to the pub. There are few off road parking spaces and a bigger parking area of the pub for those come by car. The beach is not too long- or at least not the part where i walked along-, and I saw holiday park on one side, then private houses. At one point for this reason the path did not go further, and there are signs that from there it is private. It was almost empty that morning, just a few dog walking, but true the weather wasn't the best. It is a lovely beach, but not my favourite. My taste is where there are no houses or holiday park this close to the beach, but rather hidden or lonely parts, even if they are wild.
Anyway I wanted to see this beach and I am happy I had a morning walk there.

The West Hill Lift, which runs up to the castle in a tunnel was closed, but fortunately the East Hill Lift, with is fabulous views, was open! The East Hill Lift, at a gradient of 78% is the steepest operational funicular lift in the UK and has been transporting people up to the Country Park from the Stade since 1902. The lift is great fun and fantastic value at £2.70 return and the views from the top are stunning
A Must do for all visitors to Hastings!

Hastings Museum & Art Gallery is a family-friendly museum with amazingly diverse collections. Established over 125 years ago, the Museum offers local people and visitors the opportunity to explore art, culture and history from around the world. Before Hastings tells the story of this area from prehistory to the Saxons and The Story of Hastings in 66 Objects continues the story from 1066 to today. Wildlife is displayed in dioramas of different local habitats and you can discover our prehistoric past in our interactive Dinosaur gallery. Our fine Native North American collection is displayed in three galleries, featuring the Plains and Sub-Arctic areas and the life of Hastings-born Grey Owl. The most spectacular part of the Museum is the Durbar Hall, which contains our World Art displays, as well as being used for a range of events, including weddings. On a blustery Saturday in January then this venue close to our hotel was an obvious choice. Nothing mind blowing but everything clearly displayed and something for everyone. The Hastings in 66 Objects was probably the best. Free entry too plus friendly helpful staff. Shame the Turner was not on display. No cafe just a drinks machine.

Awesome and creepy, with a lot of information and artefacts that make the experience entirely worthwhile. The settings of the cave give it a chilling atmosphere, quite literally, and some of the most famous crimes in the world are explored here, making it a great place for anyone interested in the criminal world! Helpful and friendly staff, and there's no chance of getting lost in the caves!
