Breakfast with a friend this morning hit the spot. Eggs Benedict were perfect and the coffee was perfect. Fast, efficient and friendly service.

CJ's has been family owned for 25 years. Originally a Casey's Bar and Grill, we have had the opportunity to become independent as of June 1, 2015. We are passionate about guest service, value and quality. Our goal in the relaunch as CJ's has been to bring back all of our guest favourites with a bit of a twist to make it our own. Working with our suppliers, we are bringing in local, fresh and high quality products, in an effort to better serve and support our community.
Our second dinner at CJ's. Great atmosphere, yummy food and friendly staff. Kitchen is very willing to adjust dishes for dietary requirements. We will definitely go back more often!

The place has the ambience of an old fashioned British pub, so if you are from the UK, you will feel right at home . The menu includes many British favourites done right. I've had the shepherds pie and the steak and kidney pie and was not disappointed. Service is friendly. I like this place. They need to start taking credit cards though like everywhere else.

The food was spectacular, fresh baked and had a very home cooked feeling. The restaurant was very clean and well kept with a home atmosphere that was very welcoming and peaceful. Nanaimo bars were notably good and I would recommend that anyone visit here as it is a cornerstone in Cobourg's downtown food and service industry.

While i loved the teapot on the table and the friendly waitress, I do have an issue with them not offering Turkey sausage! Other places in town do, Not everyone eats pork. I ordered a meatless plate, egg whites and kale and squash hash. Nice option, and tasted good, but, why did I pay more for that plate than the meat laden plates? The acoustics are horrible, too. Even the waitress had trouble hearing us order! We will be going to Wimpy's from now on. Turkey sausage and Turkey bacon option and they bring water when asked ...Home Plate didn't. Oh, and bring a jam selection to the table, not just one little packet per plate!

Visited my mom for Spring break and decided to stop by for dinner. My daughter and I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my mom had lasagna and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, they made you feel like you were eating at a family members house. I will definitely eat there again the next time I'm in Canada.

We had a wonderful experience at the Matterhorn. Great selection of delicious schnitzels, good Euro beer selection, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Only complaint is the prices are a tad high, though the food portions were very big. Will go back again and recommend you do too.

A favourite spot for quiet intimate dining, the romantic, centrally located restaurant at The Woodlawn Inn has been welcoming guests since 1988. A favorite with locals The Woodlawn Inn also hosts Northumberland County's premiere weddings and special events. Chef John O'Leary a red seal certified chef uses many Ontario and Northumberland products on his European and Italian inspired menus. Highlights of the inn include a great wine program. Accredited sommelier and host Stephen Della Casa offers a selection of more than 300 wines from the cellar. The restaurant also has a cozy bar with a slideshow of ever-changing Northumberland images by photographer, Stephen Della Casa and a Tuscan, walnut inlay decor. The bar also features 25 varieties of single malt Scotch whisky.
We celebrated my wife's 60th birthday on the weekend with some other friends. (Also Scorpios!). We opted for the wine pairing option for each course. The ambiance, experience, food and wine were all excellent. Stephen Della Casa gave us an overview of each of the wines he selected for our enjoyment. A lot of discussion with Stephen about wines in general as he is a very knowledgeable sommelier. We had a absolutely perfect evening with great food, great wines and great service.

Phone: (905) 377-8131 An amazing Greek restaurant. Chris and his team make some of the best Greek food that I have tasted - from lamb to souvlaki to grilled fish.
Unimpressed with this ‘Corfu’ fare.
I must say, the curiously common double starch combo of potatoes (lemon) & rice was quite good.
However, the other mainstays of Contemporary Canadian Greek were very disappointing.
I do not expect a traditional Horiatiki salad but I do enjoy the iceberg lettuce version as long as the dressing is emulsified before being applied. Oil alone disappoints.
The emaciated chicken Souvlaki was over cooked and thus was dry and was, incredulously, not paired with a Tzaziki, which would have saved the dish.
I have had better food court Greek...
