Here at Maggie's we're in our third decade of serving you hearty portions of the freshest fish, cooked to order, in a warm and welcoming cafe - the same traditional family-friendly approach as when Margaret Banfield first put her name above the door. We're right on the Fisherman's Beach - so you'll enjoy some spectacular views while you tuck in to our fish, direct from the market below us and our specials are straight off the boats with the morning catch - keeping a carbon footprint of less than 20 miles. You can't get fresher than that! Maggie's is licensed too, so you can enjoy a glass of wine or a beer with your meal. We are open six days a week, but it's advisable to call us ahead to reserve your table, and if you've got a special occasion, we welcome parties of up to 40 guests.
Fish and Chips as they should be. The fish was lovely and fresh cooked to perfection and a really decent size. The plate was not swamped with chips but were just as good as the fish. A real must if in Hastings old Town but you must book first as always fully booked.

Traditional English pub, brewing our own beer and serving good fresh food, cooked from scratch.
Got a comfortable banquette just as the pub was filling up. Really good atmosphere helped by the blazing open plan fire. Nice welcome from the bar staff and some of the regulars. Tasty lunch freshly prepared and brought to the table. Excellent range of good quality real ales from the pubs own FILO brewery. The landlord called by to say hello and had a brief chat. Great experience.

Visited with friends and we rather liked having a meal surrounded by lovely leather handbags. One thing to remember is to bring your own wine which makes the overall cost lower than expected.
Starters included a goats cheese salad with pistachios and pomegranates, a spicy prawn cocktail and soup. The mains were tagines served either with rice or couscous.
Service was friendly but not intrusive. We'll visit again.

I’m officially hooked on this place! Not trying to be clever with the food, its exactly like eating in Thailand. Hot, sour, sweet and delicious!
I admit the room isn’t for everyone but I like the musty smell of old books and the act that you feel like you have you’re own little section hidden away. Service is impeccable for Hastings and the owner is the kindest most courteous lady.
I eat here every time I visit now!

We are a 100% Gluten Free Restaurant. Booking is advisable especially if you are travelling a reasonable distance to visit us.
The waitress we had was absolutely lovely, unfortunately I didn't catch her name but she was welcoming, attentive and knowledgable.
We waited almost no time for our drinks and the starters were absolutely delicious, and the main was beautiful. I had a lovely port afterwards and my partner had a coffee but although the food was incredible the best thing about it was the staff, a credit to the owners.

We have a variety of great exotic food for everyone to enjoy. Mama Putt's is located at 23 Kings Road in St Leonards-On-Sea a short walk from both the seafront and the nearest train station (St. Leonards Warrior Square).
I visited Mama Putts with my partner. Firstly the customer service was excellent throughout and really welcoming. The food was brilliant, we shared a couple of the main course. The okra side and jerk chicken were both lovely but the Goat Curry was the standout...MoreThank you so much for taking the time to review your first Mama Putt's experience. We're delighted you enjoyed your meal and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

We celebrated our sons birthday with a very enjoyable meal. Service was good and efficient and were allowed to dine at our pace. The good was excellent and served and explained as what each dish was. Very good evening we will return.

What a wonderful place to eat. The calzone was fantastic and the service was excellent! Such a friendly and inviting little restaurant. I stayed in Hastings on business and wanted a place to eat that I wouldn’t feel out of place dining alone. I had a perfect table looking out to the sea and enjoyed great conversation with the staff. Made me long to return to Italy.

Visited this superb Dog Friendly Cafe in the heart of Hastings Old Town one freezing cold lunchtime last week. The Cafe is quaint and cosy and the service was wonderful. The Welsh rarebit was excellent as was the Carrot and Coriander soup.A lovely lunchtime snack, very lmpressive.

We visited this restaurant on 18/2/18 following good reviews and we were not disappointed. Having visited Turkey many times, including Istanbul I can safely say this restaurant is the genuine article. From the warm welcome through to the surroundings, the service and the food, everything was spot on. I had the Seafood Harvest and my wife had the Kleftico and both meals were very tasty, true Turkish flavours. The Baklava was to die for so save room. All in all a very pleasant experience and I recommend that if you are in Hastings visit The Nazar for a true bit of Turkey.
