This is a nice contrast to the city and located close enough to get to for a late afternoon ride in the Sunshine (if you're lucky).
The overall quality of street furniture is not high but the space and trees and wide path round the lake are all good.

Took the underground tour with some friends. Fountains were nice to look at. Lady was very knowledgeable but wish more things were local. Grapes are grown here or locally. One can survive an earthquake, nuclear war, or even an apocalypse It is considered the largest underground winery in the world.
I had the wines which tasted pretty good but it is somewhat "manufactured" (similar to California wines).
Lunch was really good as well. I had some Appetizer – cheese, meat
Soup – Zameh-chicken, homemade noodle, leusteam
Meal-mamiliga (cheeseball); tocana (meat); sheep cottage cheese
Cake
All in all, I had a good time but I would probably not come back BUT if you have never visited Moldova, I would recommend this place.

Victory Memorial and Eternal Flame

I and my friends visited this important Moldavian Victory Memorial. It is really impressive and you can feel the dignity of the place. At Victory Memorial and Eternal Flame, a circle of five red, uncompromising, abstract pillars thrusts skyward, representing the five years of Moldovan involvement in World War II. A stark and somber Soviet-era memorial of open spaces delineated by hard marble, the memorial honors those fallen in battle. The eternal flame burns for the unknown soldiers of World War II, and also for those killed in the 1992 War of Transnistria.

The Cathedral of Christ's Nativity is the main Cathedral of the Moldovan Orthodox Church in Central Chișinău, Moldova. It was commissioned by the governor of New Russia, Prince Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov, and Metropolitan Gavril Bănulescu-Bodoni in 1830. The Cathedral was built in the 1830s to a Neoclassical design by Abram Melnikov (who had designed a similar church in Bolhrad). The Cathedral was bombed during the World War II, and its bell tower was destroyed by the local Communists in 1962. The new bell tower was constructed in 1997. During the Soviet period, worship was prohibited and the Cathedral was transformed into an exhibition center.I’m not an active Christian, but I like to visit church; their calm and beauty.

Easy to find and cheap to visit. From the outside the building is eye catching but the interior requires a lot of work as the plaster work is crumbling and the fresco's on the ceilings just rotting away.
The museum has a large number of display items including a dinosaur but their is no info in English just Russian and Romanian.
It became really annoying to be followed just about everywhere by the Babushka's who watch visitors like hawks in case they take a photograph. Before I even had chance to visit a room I was being ushered into the next one by them. Having visited this museum and one other in Chisinau I stopped visiting museums here as I didnt take kindly to the suspicion with which they looked on me. The museum its self is very dated no hands on exhibits just articles and text, no background noise other than the drone of flourescent tubes lighting the rooms. It was OK.

About a 25 minute walk down the main road from the two central parks, this small Russian Orthodox convent is well worth a visit, with it's pastel and gold-plated architecture and vivid interiors. It's like a smaller version of some of the famous cathedrals in St Petersburg and Moscow. Although on a busy man road, it's set a little back from the street, and once you walk inside the complex walls it feels quiet and peaceful.
