Having the Gold Leaf and Plumes to choose between, both having average reviews, I am so glad we chose Gold Leaf. Thinking we would have an "average" experience I was pleasantly suprised.
The dining room is spacious, giving it a comfortable ambience, with plenty of room for the trolleys to move around without feeling cramped. There's plenty of tables, which means we didn't have to wait for a table, and weren't rushed out when we finished.
The variety was incredible, with many many dishes I had not come across in Yum Cha - so if you are seeking to try something new I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this option.
My only gripe would be the care in preparation of one of our dishes. The mussels had not been de-bearded and I was quite revolted to find a small crab inside of one. I put this down to "chinese-style" and didn't let it upset my experience.

I'd encourage you to visit this charming Indian restaurant. The food is amazing, fresh, perfectly balanced spices. The produce is excellent and the chefs produce consistently tasty food. It's not a fancy' place, but its clean and hospitable.
The menu is very reasonably priced - we eat here about once a fortnight and the bill for 2 is about $60 which includes a couple of drinks, entree and mains an naan. Oh the naan bread.
The staff are professional, courteous and pleasant. The food comes out fast. Corkage is $3 and there is a bottle shop next door. Parking is easy and free. The decor is quaint!
I really enjoy the samosas, the tandoori lamb cutlets (huge portion size) and the prawn korma. Best butter chicken in Melbourne.
They also do a roaring takeaway trade!

Fresh crunchy bread, fresh fillings, fresh chilli (optional for those uf us that love the taste without the sting!)
The signature dish of post French Vietnam is a fusion food is 'Banh Mi Thit'. Crunchy baguettes filled with whatever your heart’s desire; fresh pates, charcuterie, grilled meats, crisp vegetables and of course chilli!
'Banh Mi Thit’ is quickly becoming a street food staple on the footpaths of Sunshine. Settle back in a chair, roll in one hand, Vietnamese iced coffee in the other, and watch the humanity train of locals pass by.
With the influx of people from South East Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe Brimbank and the city of Sunshine are a developing foodie hotspot. The area has some way to go before it makes it on the gourmands’ weekend radar, BUT if you want to visit now, while it’s still gritty and unaffected by brand, hype and spin, then I’d urge you to try the Fresh Chilli Deli.
What makes Sunshine a great alternative to Footscray is that it has all that Footscray offers (great little local restaurants, fresh food markets) but the parking is easy, the pace a little less frenetic and the sun seems to shine a little brighter…
I’m going to attempt to review all the restaurants and cafes up and down Harvester Road and surrounds over the next little while, so if there is a particular place you’d like me to go please let me know!

While the atmosphere could use a little polish, the food out-shined first impressions. Eating outside in the back was suggested, but we chose to dine inside in the front area. The staff couldn't have been more sincere and kind on every level of our experience. I was there with my wife and two adult sons for dinner, somewhat late in the evening, around 9:30 pm and never felt rushed. We ordered ample Naan to accompany the 6-8 entrees brought to for dinner. Be adventurous and don't hold back. The kitchen and chefs are professional and up to the task. We will seek this restaurant out when next in Australia.

I went to this restaurant in Niddrie by chance. Not much else was open to be honest and I hadn't has Malaysian food for years.
This is a relatively new place set amongst an ever growing variety of restaurants in the Keilor Rd district. The decor is simple but really pleasant offering an open yet relaxed atmosphere suited to the cusine.
The food was quite frankly a knock out. We tried a variety of appertisers and main meals and all were seriously good. The mixed appertisers showcased their style and quality and set the scene for the mains.
Don't order all at once when its not busy if you have a little time as we got hit with shared meals at the same time. Portions are ample and the service tentative and helpful. Beer needs to be colder.
Highly recommended.

When we visit with friends who live locally I always like to try something new. This time it was the prawns stuffed intestine ( a sausage really) very tasty. The standout dish for flavour was the greens with fermented bean curd. We also tried for the first time the deep fried whole flounder. I can't wait to do a return visit

Nice place to dine at before heading to the movies on a date night. It does get quite busy so leave yourself plenty of time. Food is usual, steaks, pasta, pizza, parmas etc..

I hope that not too many people discover this place. It's not in the best neighbourhood and it's not the flashiest restaurant but the food is great and the prices are great for the budget conscious. They have a large selection of Asian-type meals and the quality is very good.

We visited for dinner on the recommendation of my daughter and her partner. This place is the real deal, crowded with locals all enjoying the food. The service is prompt and efficient and the food served in a timely fashion despite the crowd. We had a number of dishes but the standouts for me were the entrée of beef wrapped in betel leaves and the salmon and glass noodle salad. The servings are generous and have plenty of the key ingredients like the salmon in the salad and the duck in the red curry. The dishes are not padded out with other ingredients at the expense of the key elements. This place now has a firm spot on our hit list for trips to Melbourne. Highly recommended.

I have been here several times, and found that the food is always fresh and served in an attractive manner. It is kept clean and tidy with a restroom for guests.
The menu is very extensive +70 dishes, and vegetarian choices as well. Complimentary green tea is served with your meal.
Staff are friendly and attentive and food served has been prepared with detail and expertise.
Should you need to relax for a while, or need a meal that is served quick I would recommend this place.
