We ate two days in a row at this restaurant, because the food was great, it was very tasty and nicely decorated, and the prices were good (lower than in other places). We recommend the pies, especially the cheese pie "Placinta Domneasca", though everything was very good. Try pancakes with cottage cheese and honey for dessert, they are delicious!

I had veggie tempura roll which was excellent. Decent veggie iptions (Japanese and some pastas I think). The service was top notch. It's a little expensive compared to other places but a worthwhile splurge.

Friendly service (yes!), a good selection of appetizers, salads, and entrees. Everything was well prepared, and efficiently serve. The place seems super popular with the locals.... enjoyed it and would recommend it. Fish dishes were particularly good...

We loved this restaurant, the atmosphere and ambience is fantastic, especially as we had our own secluded both on the top floor that made it extra special. I had read this was quite expensive and for Moldova it is expensive, but if you budget for about £25 a head for a two course meal with wine, then you will eat and drink well. The finish of the restaurant is fantastic and looks exactly like the photos with lovely polished wood and animal skins throughout. The menu was huge and took some time to decide what to have, many variants of fish and meat to choose from, I had pork which was simply superb and well worth the cost. Service can be a bit slow, but for us this didn't matter as the restaurant was so lovely and the staff were great and very friendly. The restaurant was about 5 miles from our hotel (shadow) but was 50 Lei (about £2.50) each way and the restaurant got us a hotel back. Yes this is a tourist trap but we loved it and had a lovely romantic meal for less than £50 so would highly recommend.

A long time ago Pegas restaurant (it was called "Las Pegas" then) had only four tables and it looked more like a small grill-bar where the most delicious sausages in the city were cooked. Very quickly that grill-bar grew to a beautiful, two-storey restaurant where now you can enjoy both the tastes of excellent meat and any other dish of the European fusion cuisine. Pegas restaurant is very conveniently located and is easy to find. Here you will always find a pleasant and friendly atmosphere, both for a family meal or a fun gathering of friends or colleagues. A special attention is paid to the comfort of children: the green lawn of the restaurant's summer Terrace hosts a spacious playground for children. No doubt, everything in the restaurant is open and available for its guests. When the large meal is brought, you shouldn't be surprised: once you entered the doors of Pegas restaurant it is clear that you can get here all you want - attention, comfort and delicious food. At your request, each dish can be cooked as you prefer. Also, a pleasant fact is that Pegas works 24 hours a day seven days a week. The restaurant can host different events: whether it's a dinner for a small company or a large event. Here you will find absolutely all the ingredients for a successful party. You will be pleasantly surprised when you will get the bill. According to the manager of the restaurant, Irina Bespaliuc, the pleasure of spending time at Pegas restaurant isn't expensive, but it's worth it. The values of Pegas restaurant are: honesty, responsibility, openness, good organisation and positive spirit.
One of the best in Chisinau, with good quality food, mostly based on meat products. Good place to spend time at a dinner with family and friends, or to celebrate a birthday, or any other anniversary.
The only disadvantage is the restaurant location, not really central, not the best area.

If you are visiting the capital of Transnistria (this strange self-proclaimed country not recognized by any UN member) do not miss this nice restaurant. Well located, with typical and cozy decor, it serves a variety of Russian, Ukrainian cuisine with some western touch. We tried the chicken in Kiev, some salads and the fantastic pork chop. The service is cordial and the price more than fair.

For years we were impressed by rich culture of the native americans, captivated by the unusual, colored and rich character of this culture, characterized specially by nature loving living. After that, traveling around the world, we found in every country a small coffee shop which attracted us with his special enviroment. All these had something in common. Besides the beautiful aromas, we were attracted by the worm and good will of the visitors, who were enjoying the coffee and talking without a hurry.

As a wine lover I went to this place in Chisinau to try some good Moldovan wine. The place itself is small, but very nicely decorated with numerous wine bottles all over the walls. I asked the owner for recommendations to try Moldovan wine and he poured me a glass of white and red. He was very knowledgeable about the wine and its origin and was explaining me the characteristics of each wine. The wine itself was great and served at the right temperature. I also saw a bottle of German ice wine on the wall and asked I could try one. He also got me a glass of this which was again excellent. The total price for this high quality wine and excellent service came a bit short of 10 euros which is really good value. I recommend this place for anyone interested in wine and keen on exploring new varieties.

Decent steaks and side orders. Probably one of the better places to sample the local full bodied red wined with appropriately matching food. Nice place
