I tried this place 3 times this summer. The first time I ordered a Kebab with veggies, as a take-away. The veggies consisted of cabbage and one slice of tomato. The kebab was half-burned and very dry. 1/5
The second time I ordered a Kebab with fries that my friend payed for, otherwise I would not had gone back there. This time the kebab was good, but the fries were a bit underdone. Overall it was greasy, but really good. 4/5
The last third time I ordered a kebab with fries again, this time on take-away. It was much lower quality than the time before, the kebab was dry but very greasy and the added veggies were a mess. I got a very large serving, but you cannot overcompensate low quality by adding more low quality food on top. 2/5
Based on my experience, I would not recommend the take-away. I am feeling generous when I give it a 3/5 average.

A very picturesque oasis in the center of Pietarsaari with café, restaurant, hostel and art studios.
At After eight you can attend to Concerts and different cultural events as well as having a coffee or lunch in the café. They serve lunch during week days, n.b. the menu is not always suitable for vegetarians... We had sushi when we visited the café, the sushi was not the best I've had but the beautiful yard saved the experience.

I have been here many times and you always think that O’Leary’s is only sport café with beer and games at TV, but they have also very tasty a la carte dishes. Last time a had a delicious Pepper steak, which I didn’t expect at Sports Bar.

High prices for mediocre or not special items. In the past this was a great cafe when visiting the beach. Now it wants to be something it might not be.

Vietnamese, asian fusion restaurant
The only asian restaurant in Pietarsaari that has a nice design and good and really spicy food. Good location close to the market square. They have outdoor Seating.

We started Friends & Brgrs for people just like you. People who like great burgers. People like us. That’s why we bake our own buns, triple-cook our fries and grind the meat ourselves. We use the best ingredients we can find, and buy them from people we know and trust. No shortcuts and no compromises. There are easier ways to make burgers and fries, but not better. Very nice lunch in Jakobstad! Welcoming staff, 2 choice for lunch and very fresh fish. I took a salad buffet (all salad ingredients, quinoa...) with a smoked fish. Feels like eating in the harbour. Also sells fresh fish on take away. Definitely will be back when in Jakobstad!

If there's a place in town to go when craving pizza, Mr. Banks is it. They offer a (potentially dangerous) pizza buffet for lunch, and rotate through their various offerings. In the evenings, you can purchase their pizzas a la carte, and their price and selection of beer and cider is respectable.
They generally have a special pizza on offer, which changes from time to time, I still regret not having had their moose pizza.

I've eaten many times at Duende, but always come away feeling that I haven't gotten my money's worth. I have a memory seared into my brain of ordering a large order of (pricy) calamari tapas, and being given three calamari rings with a glob of mayo. I was sad.
The owner is from Spain, so I'm not sure whether it's dealing with the realities of Finnish food and labor prices, or adaptation to local tastes that have lead to this interpretation of Spanish food. The lunches tend to be tasteless, and often overcooked.
The bacon wrapped dates though, are delicious. Have those.

Welcome! We are a small low key bakery in Skata, Jakobstad. You can come in for a cup of coffee, eat a cinnamon bun or take some bread home. We are open year round. Since June 2015 we make our own Ice Cream on the premisis. The Ice Cream has became a success during last summer and this summer we continue with both new and old flavours. You can buy Ice Cream when the café is open.
This is quite simply the perfect place for coffee / breakfast / home-made ice cream (only in summer). Cosy, friendly, fresh and tasty, located in an old wooden house with a lovely Terrace for chilling. You can buy bread and cakes to take home, recommended!
