We have been to many wineries in the Yarra Valley as we live closeby, but it was lovely to be picked up and driven by someone else. Our driver/ guide David was very knowledgeable and took us to a couple of wineries that we had never been to which was great, as well as others that were favourites. We had lunch at De Bortolis which is always wonderful food and service, we even tasted and bought some cheese from their special cheese room. It was a bonus that there was just four of us plus driver on the tour, so it was very personal and in a most comfortable vehicle. Communication with the company was reliable and timely. The other couple on the tour with us were from the US and they had booked it from there with no problem. Thanks to all concerned for a great day and especially my daughter for the gift voucher.

If you have the chance to visit this place, please do it. It is a magical place. The sculptures are magnificent and the setting in the Dandenong ranges is spectacular. A spiritual Wonderland of shear beauty, creativity and serenity.

A lovely place to take the family or a loved one for a git of mini golf. With the outdoor and indoor course on offer (or both if you cant resist), the courses are both challenging and fun. They are constantly upgrading with minor changes made regularly. Also great to be able to win prizes for hole in ones and overall score. Ask at the desk when you finish.

A spring spectacular! The National Rhododendron Gardens are host to brilliantly coloured blooms of rhododendrons, azaleas, camellias, cherries and daffodils. Seasonal changes ensure the Gardens are a delight all year around. When not in bloom, you can still soak in the beauty of rich bark textures, seed capsules, foliage shapes and beautiful fragrance as you stroll through the grounds. While many visitors take their time and enjoy all of the constantly changing vistas of the Gardens, others prefer to take shorter walks into specific areas. Walking the entire garden is a round trip of approximately 5km, and includes some steeper grades. Magnificent views overlook Silvan Reservoir, the Yarra Valey, Warburton Ranges and Mt Baw Baw. The National Rhododendron Gardens are open 10.00am to 5.00pm daily (last entry 4.30pm) except Christmas Day. Entrance to the Gardens is free. The park is located 500 metres from the Olinda township along the Olinda - Monbulk Road. Turn into The Georgian Road, the entrance is 50 metres on the right. During the busy spring period, parking on weekends is limited. There is additional parking available at both the Olinda Recreation Reserve on the corner of The Georgian Road and Olinda-Monbulk Road, and the former Olinda Golf Course site on the Olinda-Monbulk Road. Both these sites are within a two minute walk of the main entrance.
This must be close to the best collection of rhododendrons in the world, with 30000 rhodos and azaleas. Flowering over a long period and at their peak late October. Good paths and a variety of other plants and trees - creating beautiful blends of foliage colours. Total walking circuit about 5km. Its free entry - so hard to complian - but it could do wih more weeding and more labelling. Overall a delight to walk round - the variety of colours is amazing - and look forward to a future visit...

We booked a morning garden tour for ourselves and UK visitors. When we arrived and got our tickets we sat outside. A contract gardener then fired up his noisy and dusty leaf blower - he was wearing ear protectors. He seemed oblivious to the havoc he was wreaking as people arrived for the tour.
Our guide had to change the tour to avoid the noise and dust. The garden was disappointing and not particularly well presented. Our guests garden in the UK is nicer.
The morning tea scones were tasty but the waitress was sour faced and disorganised.
I'm relieved we hadn't booked for lunch as first planned.

Tandem skydive over the Yarra Valley from up to 14,000ft and experience an insane 60 seconds of life-changing freefall! Then, float under canopy for 5-7 minutes over the lush Yarra Ranges and Yarra Valley vineyards and marvel at the incredible views all the way to the city skyline of Melbourne. A tandem skydive with the dedicated and experienced Skydive Australia crew will be as memorable as it is exhilarating!
What a brilliant and special experience to do with my grown up children made extra special from support and assistance shown by staff, so much fun. So glad took up option of getting video and photos to capture the experience in the sky. Thanks heaps Yarra Valley Skydiving.

Lillydale Lake is open at all times and has a range of facilities and activities to suit everyone, including an all-abilities playground, outdoor fitness station, walking tracks, wetlands, fishing jetties, BBQ's, picnic shelters, sandy beach areas and public toilets. Come along and have a picnic or barbecue, take a walk around the 28 hectare lake, or watch your children enjoy the sandy Beaches and expansive lawns. Entry is free.
Get out in the fresh air, it's only a 2km walk around the lake.
Once done, grab some rather yummy food from one of the many food stalls/trucks and enjoy whilst the kids let off steam on the playground. (Bring bathers or extra clothes for them as it has a good water play area!
