Award winning restaurant. Local produce , 35 day matured beef, daily fish deliveries. Friendly, courteous & professional service. Large selection of single malt whiskies and wines by the glass.
We had not been to the Wheatsheaf since it changed hands earlier this year. We had always found the food to be excellent and hospitality warm and friendly. On our return under the new management we found both the food and the hospitality 5 star... It is always hard work taking over a place with a good reputation and maintaining its standards. We were delighted to say the new owners have enhanced and exceeded that reputation. Will definitely not leave it so long before returning again... Highly recommended.

Chose The Collingwood Arms for a birthday meal for my partner. We were not disappointed! Friendly staff greeted us, a lovely relaxed atmosphere and 3 courses of well presented, delicious food......followed by a rendition of "Happy birthday" by a lovely member of staff! It made us feel very welcome!
I would not hesitate to recommend....in fact in would encourage anyone to visit....the food is delightful!

So pleased I have visited here for the first time.
Staff were very friendly and great with kids. I like that they offered to bring kids food at same time as starters, also gave kids colouring books and crayons.
The food was extremely tasty, something for everyone and lots of specials on the board as well.
The chicken supreme with bacon mousse was outstanding.

We had another short break at this amazing pub and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lovely room, very comfortable. Fantastic food in the pub in the evening - once again the Steak Pie won me over. Such a lovely warm welcome and a really nice evening. Great breakfast the next day too! We will be back!!

This traditional inn is serving good beer and fantastic food served by very professional staff.
Excellent standards of food, with innovative ideas on traditional fare without being too twee. Honest food made to an excellent standard served at a very high standard . Great place to be

We've had a couple of take aways from this place. The first was tasty enough and would have, by itself, merited a four star rating. However, the second order was (a) wrong and (b) sub-standard. We'll probably give it a third chance but it will need to be at the level of the first for any further repeats.

We arrived at 5pm wanting to stop for a meal. It looks Okay from outside. We sat at one of 2 tables and read the menu which was rather uninspiring and short. We couldn't work out what the smell was and then discovered the toilets were located right behind us. Sorry, I cannot comment of the food as it was just wrong to eat in that environment, so we left. Maybe just the wrong place at the wrong time ???

The grounds are , the cafe a let down. In this day and age the menu could be more adventurous, the coffee is bitter. We have stopped here on many occasions over the last 3 months and have been disappointed. In fact we mentioned it to friends who have a dog and they agreed the grounds were beautiful but the cafe a let down. We now stop in Cornhill on Tweed , great cafe.

An Alice in Wonderland themed café with lots of quirky ornaments and pictures. Felt very welcome even though there were lots of locals there. Scones and coffees were delicious.
