We stopped and had coffee and cake.
Cake was a touch pricey and while it was good the ice cream (made there) was the standout element.
Jams etc. are available for tasting as well and plenty of products for sale including chocolate.
Grab a table outside as the view is lovely (see pic).

Dropped in for a snack this morning. Ordered a croissant, lemon-ginger tea and a flat white. The croissant was nice though it was supposed to be served with "hazelnut chocolate" whereas we were given Nutella. The tea was nice but the flat white was pathetic.

Multi-Award winning restaurant with ocean views over looking great Oyste bay and Freycinet National park. The menu features a strong emphasis on the highest quality Tasmanian ingredients, and the wine list features a hand picked selection of Tasmania’s finest wines.
As we were staying at the hotel we had dinner to celebrate my father's birthday. At first we were given a table in the middle of the restaurant, without views, even though we were staying. The food was OK but nothing special. When we asked for another bread roll we were informed it might not be possible as they didn't know if they had cooked enough, a bit of a shame when you are paying $80 for a three course meal!

Stopped for dinner on the way to Coles Bay. There are limited options in Swansea. We had a beef burger $9.90 with no chips, spaghetti bolognese $19.00 and seafood basket for two at $35. The food was nice but not very large portions especially for the price.

At Saltshaker Café and Restaurant we cater for breakfast/lunch and dinner dining in our restaurant ... .To compliment our offerings, enjoy your meal or drinks on the deck overlooking the bay towards Freycinet and The Hazards. On a calm sunny day, watch the fisherman launch and retrieve their boats - a popular and sometimes a very entertaining experience. On a full moon night, the reflections on the water are stunning. Both the Restaurant and Café are fully licensed so enjoy a selection from our beverage or wine list while you take in the view.If you're planning to enjoy our dining experience, be sure to reserve a table. we have now expanded our deck to take another level, offering Seating outside for around 60 people. we also specialise in gourmet and regular pizza's open till late for take aways, or during meal times. If nothing else, be sure to do some "Decktime" at Saltshaker .... you won't be disappointed.
Good coffee and cakes for morning tea with a beautiful view of the Great Oyster Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula hills beyond. Plenty of free water to drink.

Watch the light play on the water and surrounds, as the colours change, and occasionally, the dolphins play as you dine. What a relief to discover this arty cafe, after having paid $5 for a coffee at our accommodation. The coffee was superb and was very reasonably priced too, how refreshing. We also enjoyed a little breakfast here, a simple egg and bacon panini with yummy tomato relish.
They play great music and the staff are a real delight. I hope they hurry and open up in the evenings too, as I believe it will add a fabulous choice for us tourists and no doubt the loyal locals too.
Be sure to not miss this place.

Located at the cellar door of the award winning vineyard Milton on Tasmania's East Coast, Sophie's restaurant offers a French approach to Tasmanian produce.
We visited yesterday for lunch at 1pm. The wine and wine staff were just lovely.
However we were disappointed by the lack of food choices left. There was only one main meal left and a cheeseboard.
The other couple of choices were entree.
I don’t think that at lunch time in the busy East Coast, a kitchen should run out of food.
