I was here for IBE several different times and this great venue hosted several different events including large main stage events and smaller areas with a great space outside as well for a bbq style eating area. Really great place to see an event.

Definitely worth visiting. I went there with my wife and two daughters, my parents, my sister's fiance and their two kids and I can honestly say that everyone were very happy with this trip. Great scenary and the animals all looked so healthy and fine.

I visited SnowWorld in Landgraaf with my three children during the Christmas holiday. My kids have been skiing before and really enjoyed the vast slopes and diverse roots to take, all this indoors ! We rented our ski material onsite, which was very good quality. And we enjoyed a daily family ski session with a private instructor. Our instructor was wonderful. He took his time to assess each child's level and to guide them along the slopes; turned out to be a strong lesson, pushing them to develop and try new things.
We spend thoroughly enjoyable evenings in the onsite restaurants. The whole complex has a feel of being in a huge chalet out in the real Swiss Alps. Our room was compact, modern and very clean. We didn't mind it being petite sized as we spent most time out on the slopes anyway.
Highly recommended.

Hoensbroek Castle is one of the largest and most beautiful Castles in the Netherlands. The oldest section of the castle structure dates from 1250. The 40 different beautiful halls and rooms in the castle will take you on a fantastic journey through time. Discover the gorgeous ballroom, let the shivers run down your spine in the dungeon, and climb the 60 m high medieval look-out/defensive tower.
Beautifully restored and lovely Gardens. You have access to most of the places of interest in the kasteel. Interesting history that was well presented. Food was very good and very good service.

We took a relative out for "English tea" on the ZLSM preserved steam railway as a birthday treat.
Every 2 weeks during the railway add a restored Pullman carriage to the 12:00 steam train at Simpelfelt to Valkenburg and back.
Excellent experience, superb atmosphere and really great food backed up by excellent service from the people who actually helped restore the carriage.
We had a wonderful time and would recommend this as a special treat.
We only booked a couple of weeks in advanc - even so there were spare spaces for our group of 5.
The only complications were that I had to depend on translating the web site and Paying up front using an international bank transfer.
Our Dutch friends think this is normal, but sadly UK banks don't seem to make this as easy as it should be.....

What can I say? Well I never experienced a walk like it definitely not got one of these in the U.K. I went with a ladies club ranging over 50+ Let me tell you about it... when you arrive you check in at the coffee shop & the receptionist will explain the map to you. Make sure you use the toilet here as it is the only one & it will be approx 2hrs before you are back. You remove your shoes & leave then on a rack by the foot cleaning are, there are lockers if you want to leave valuables behind, pay the lady 5e at the counter for a key which I assume you get back later. The trail consists of various obstacles i.e pebbles, stones, wood chip, mud puddles, clay puddles, logs, water barrels and a small lake in the centre which if you are brave enough can make your way across the tricky bit comes about 3/4 of the way where you have to give it some thought as to how you are going to get to the other side safely, if you fall in it is approx 1m so you are going to be very wet! ( Don't forget to leave your mobile/bag with someone else). Along the way there are also interesting things to see & do such as tree carvings, insect houses, tree quotes, spiral walk, tying a knot using your feet etc. When you reach the end you are supplied with a washing up brush to scrub your feet, you can also use the hot tub barrels & soak them for 30 mins these have added herbs, I think there was a small payment for this. My feet needed a good soaking as the black mud had stained my heel skin so I would of liked to of used the hot tubs but others in the group didn't have time, pity. Take your own towel to dry them & then you can head over to a cafe/bar/restaurant behind the venue it takes about 10 mins to walk there & they serve a very nice coffee. This is a great place for all ages & even though I have a poorly knee I managed all the activities (except for the lake) although carefully. Well worth a visit.

Schunck is named after a cloting firm from the 19 thirties. A modernistic buidling by an architect named Fritz Peutz. After the decline of the the business the building got poorer and poorer. It escaped demolishing and is recently refurbished to its origins by the architects Wiel Arets Architects en Jo Coenen. In the basement we visited an excellent exhibition of the Bauhaus architect Mies van der Rohe. At the top we had an very tasteful dinner at "Mijn Streek".
So if you're in the south of Limburg or in Maastricht, visit also Heerlen and the Glass Palace Schunck.

Discover the influence of science and technology on your life! You'll be overwhelmed by all the fun explore-stations, helping you to discover how the world around you works.
Very neatly done exhibition and very interactive as well. Be aware, only dutch or german explanation/instructions. However, it is quite self explanatory what to do and the staff do speak English if you need help. Our kids loved the analogue telephones and we kept calling each other on them. The another hit was the dismantling area, where using a screwdriver you could take apart everyday things like remote controlls or radio and examine them from the inside. Protetictive glass and gloves are provided and staff make sure that you wear them. The parking for the train station is in front of the discovery center whereas their client parkin is on the side along the rails. So it is kind of confusing at first sight.

The nice girl at the information desk provided us with great English translations of the exhibit. We just had to ask. They show you a film when you first enter, which can be in Dutch, German or English. We learned a lot about the Roman roads through this area of Europe and the highlight was the preserved Roman Bath ruins. There is a room full of artifacts from the area and having the English translation sheets was necessary for that area.

We came from the Canary Islands to visit the Pinkpop festival in June 2016. We visited many festivals around the whole world, but an organization like Pinkpop we've never never seen before. Everything was releaxed and the security was great. Safety first. Well done organization. Also good good music. See you next year.
