We have been several times and really enjoy eating here. It is best to make Reservations but if you want to wait they usually seat people pretty quickly. The tomato soup is the best I have had. Omelets and wraps are very good also. The wait staff is very friendly and service is perfect.

Allow yourself to be won over by the culinary creations of out kitchen team led by master chef Andy Brauers, while our hostess offers surprising wine suggestions. Our regularly changing seasonal menu features the very best in regional Limburg products, from asparagus and lamb in spring to wild boar, partridge, mushrooms and truffles in autumn. The stylish restaurant has five separate dining rooms.
This was the best lunch of summer 2017 and a fitting al fresco finale on a lovely sunny sunday afternoon. Many thanks to the Terworm team for fitting us in at such short notice and for the superbly attentive, knowledgeable and friendly service throughout. This is a lovely restaurant particularly when weather permits dining on the sunny Terrace overlooking the moat. We chose to dine a la carte with wine pairings as recommended by our waitperson. This turned out to be an excellent decision....some small surprises (incl among others...a local sparkling, an unusual scheurebe, a superb beerenauslese).....all most enjoyable. Lobster/shrimp starter was very and the turbot outstanding. A memorable Dame Blanche (truly) and very good local cheeses. Beautiful presentation throughout. Good value. Perfect atmosphere somewhere between totally chilled and a little bit special.

As far as the food is concerned, you just can't go wrong here... every bite you take releases a taste explosion on your taste buds. For the food itself I would have rated this review with 6 stars if I could, unfortunately "attitude" gave me a bad aftertaste.
The lady who owns the place seems to think that part of her patrons are total idiots. For this occasion we had a Groupon package that included the meal and a night in a Junior SUITE (yes the voucher explicitly mentioned SUITE). However, when we arrived at the hotel in question (Van der Valk Heerlen), this turned out to be a so called Junior Room... which is smaller than their standard rooms.
Upon arrival I told the owner that I didn't appreciate that, especially since in the e-mails leading to the reservation there always had been a reference to a JR Suite. At first she tried to convince me that in fact a Junior Room is the same as a Junior Suite, since I have some experience with the hospitality industry I let her understand that I'm not the person who can be fooled by such baloney. Then her reaction was: oh well you get spend the night in a nice room with a rain shower, that's a good week-end anyway! That attitude is insulting and terribly arrogant, I would expect more from a Michelin rated restaurant owner.
Lady, take a lesson in humility... patrons pay your bills.

I arrived at 1730 without a reservation and was seated at the bar. They were very busy but happy to accommodate. They had no english menus so be sure to check their menu online (google translate) beforehand or bring the ability to translate on the fly. The food was amazing. I had a caprese salad, a beer, and the steak. Everything was perfectly cooked and wonderfully fresh. It was the perfect first meal in Heerlen!

new Italian restaurant
Love this Italian place! The food is very good! It's a bit expensive but it's definitely worth it! They have nice wine, service is good, but it's a bit noisy! Like the fact that the owner is Italian!

From breakslow to lunch, for eat in or Takeout. With much love we prepare and bring you delicious bagels, slash fresh juichen, various coffee with our Arabica Coffee Single Origin from the Jansson Estate in Panama. Tasty salads , organic , healthy, sweets.
A relaxing place to have breakfast, brunch or a snack whilst out shopping. You can choose your bagel and a range of different toppings including hot and cold options. They serve nice coffee and in big mugs (which is not so usual in Netherlands)!! They also serve teas andfresh juices and some cakes. You won't find any fizzy pop or suchlike here!! However they do have gluten free bagels, which you can also order to take away

Bad service from the owner, we certainly will not come back.
We came in from the cold and I ordered Turkish tea on the menu, and he said they don't have Turkish tea but they have wine. I don't drink alcohol, so I just ordered coffee. We'd noticed they kept pushing on the wine sales throughout the meal. Appetizers and main courses went fine but we had to remind the waiter & waitress of our desserts 3 separate times and it finally came more than 1 hour after our main courses. The owner brought them and he was not even apologetic, he just said 'you have to wait for good food.' I wondered if the couple next to us were served bad food because they had 4 courses, came later than us, but were already done and had left when we were still waiting for our 3rd course dessert. And it was an under cooked apple struddle, not particularly warm when served, definitely not worth the wait.
The young waiter & waitress were friendly and nice but an arrogant owner does not make this a welcoming place.
Highly not recommended!

We go here very often (as a couple or with some friends) and the food is always good. They change the menu a couple of times a year so sometimes our favorite dish disappears (which is a shame but we find always something else). Reserve a table on busy nights (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) because there are just a few tables (low and high). The house-wine is perfect but I hope they also get a wine-list someday. I think we will go tonight ;-)!

Our visit to this restaurant can be summarised in 1 word: excellent. We decided to choose the 7 course all in menu, which didn't disappoint at all. We started off with some very original and creative appetizers. Then the 7 courses, of which we found...MoreThanks a lot for your positive reaction. Team cucina del Mondo

I have been to few Van dear Valk hotel restaurants and I struggle to find a complaint. The food a good and portions are generous, there are plenty of dishes to suit carnivores and grass eaters alike and lots of choices for kids. The restaurant at castle TeWorm did not disappoint and was absolutely packed on the night we arrived.
