Don't come here if you are vegan ! They are serving great meat, aged like it should always be, French, English and South American. With the sauces you want, salad or fresh little vegetables and good " Belgian" fries ! An place to remember.

Beautiful location amidst the golf course of Keerbergen. Real family restaurant where you can go in your jogging if you like. Food is ok, good selection of italian wines. Service sometimes to sloppy and/or slow. Large lawn around the restaurant where children can play. Two kinds of Terrace, one covered and one not covered. Rather on the cheap side, so enough value for money.

Peppino is a lovely family restaurant on the main street in Keerbergen. It is much more than a pizza place. Inside the restaurant is nicely appointed with a touch of elegance. The delicious, flavoursome cuisine features reinterpreted traditional recipes with more than adequate portions. The pasta is amongst the three best I have had the pleasure of enjoying and compares very favourably with the best of Italy. Service is family friendly and professional. Wine list is good and well-priced.
Recommend highly

Cosy restaurant with an unique view on the lake of Keerbergen! The menu exists of innovative meals, but the known classics are also available! For a lovely afternoon, you're welcome on our sunny Terrace. Besides that, we have 2 receptionrooms, which are also available for seminars and business meetings.
I loved this place, great decoration, great setting close to the exclusive lake of Keerbergen, etc.
But I got some poor feedback about bad service expériences from some family members and friends lately.
Last friday, in the early evening my wife and I were a bit early for a party closeby at a friend's place and decided to go for a drink at The Lake before. The sun was out, it was mild and we asked to have a drink on the Terrace. 3 Young waitresses were hanging boredly behind the counter and told us the Terrace was closed. First I thought it was a joke so I went to have a look, all chairs and tables were positioned and ready so I went back and politely insisted, but got the same answer. There must have been maximum 5 or 6 clients in the restaurant. So I asked if they could serve us 2 drinks which we would be glad to take outside ourselves if they preferred. But the ladies refused saying that if they allowed us out, other people would ask the same and they did not want that. A client sitting next tu us was giggling... Then the waitresses continued standing boredly staring at the wall...
Not willing to get upset, we walked out, drove around the lake and walked into the club house of the local golf club. We went out onto the Terrace where a few dozen people were enjoying their drinks and the Sunshine.
The manager walked up to us, greeted us and politely asked if we just finished playing our round of golf...(a classy way of asking: 'are you a member?') We explained we were just dying for a drink outside and told the story of the welcome at 'the Lake'. He had a good laugh. He kindly invited us to install ourselves, order drinks and enjoy! The service was impeccable, the kindness and generosity absolute opposite from 'the Lake', the sunset drink outside a perfect way to start our evening.
If the Lake doesn't get it's act together and the management doesn't understand that their location can't all compensate their pretentious behaviour and laziness, we won't go back there. Can someone re-explain the basics of hospitality to them please?

This is an average restaurant/pizzeria. The food is ok but not surprising. Prices are reasonable. Service could be more friendly. If you want to eat a quick pizza it's not a bad choice but do not expect beyond that.

This is the place the well-heeled inhabitants of Keerbergen turn to when they have something to celebrate. The imposing restaurant sits on top of a hill. The owners have added a large and very agreeable Orangerie to the original building, which makes for very nice sitting with a view. The menus including wines offer good value for money, whereas the à la carte choice is pretty expensive with both entrees and mains averaging each well over 30 euro. On busy saturday nights the chef can decide whether or not to offer à la carte dining, as the crew in the kitchen is a very limited one. The cuisine is French, of good quality with choice ingredients and very well prepared, but also very traditional. What is admirable, is the chef's drive to cook in line with the season's offering, which means for instance that when you visit in mid-spring, you are offered dishes with delicious Belgian white asparagus and hop shoots - the latter is quite rare (and very expensive) even in Belgian restaurants. The wines accompanying the set menu are of good quality and are served generously. The whole offers an enjoyable relaxed dining experience.

I have been visiting Leysens occasionally over the past 10 years, it has gone through changes in ownership and management and each time you as a client feel the differences in service and food quality. This week is the second time I tried their grilled swordfish and it is just as delicious the first time I tried it a few months ago. Management is much improved, service is consistently good, competent and friendly. Service is even better than most, since they remember how I want my swordfish prepared and it was only the second time they have seen me. Kudos to the management and staff of Leysen !

former old farmhouse converted into trendy restaurant. The young team of managers /waiters gives an excellent and friendly service. The choice of dishes and specialities changes from time to time and all dishes are of excellent quality and cooking. The Seating is excellent, especially the Terrace in summer. Located in the middle of a quite former agricultural area, now a high level villa park. Very recommended.
