Touching Belgium on its west and just a few miles from Germany to the east, Maastricht is the capital of Holland’s southernmost region, Limburg. A town rich in history and culture, Maastricht boasts two wonderful town squares: Vrijthof, with Sint-Servaas Church, Sint-Jan's Cathedral and many bars, cafes and restaurants; and Markt, home to the town hall and, on Wednesday and Friday mornings, a fantastic vendor market. The city’s Vestigingswerken, or old town fortifications, are another big draw.

In the magnificent Jekerdal valley, just on the Belgian border, is Chateau Neercanne. The beautiful Baroque Gardens of the 17th century castle are divided over four levels, all of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The highest Terrace offers a wonderful view over of the Gardens and the magnificent valley. Chateau Neercanne has a rich cultural and culinary tradition. Treat yourself to dinner at the a la carte Restaurant Chateau Neercanne. Our attractive marl-built function rooms are ideal locations for parties, receptions and meetings. The unique wine cellars in the marl caves form an unparalleled setting for a wine-tasting session or for enjoying an aperitif.
My husband and I had our 15 year anniversary at this restaurant. But first we were invited for a glass of champagne in the caves. The cave was very nicely decorated and there were little candles burning. At the restaurant we had this very nice...MoreBeste Yvonne C. Located in a stately building on the elegant Wycker Brugstraat in the exciting district of Wyck, known as the 'Petit Paris' of Maastricht.Harry's is an international brasserie which is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, and for brunch on Sundays. We offer timeless brasserie classics prepared using the very best ingredients. Harry's serves unpretentious food and beverages in a relaxed, comfortable setting.
We visited Harry’s yesterday with our son. Coincidently it was Valentine’s Day. Lunch and atmosphere was perfect again. They were prepared for Gluten-free and our son had a healthy dish. Waiters were very friendly. Again quality time at Harry’s.

It is always a great pleasure to have dinner at Ristorante Mediterraneo ( written with double r). The welcoming is always warm and sincere. Staff is very friendly, hospitable professional (many years of experience) and atttentive. The menu list changes regurlarly and all dishes are very tasty, cooked with love. This time we had Vitello tonato, risotto with truffles, Branzini and cheese. You really do need to reserve a table, because it's always crowded, also on weekdays. Next time we are in Maastricht we will have dinner again in the Meditarreneo

Architecturally impressive, the Kruisheren Restaurant is suspended between the eaves of the nave, offering remarkable views of original wall and ceiling frescos. Modern lighting and contemporary furniture populate the mezzanine and offset the historic atmosphere, giving the space a truly unique design direction. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Chef and his team create culinary masterpieces from locally sourced produce, complemented by wines from across the globe. When the weather is fine, guests can enjoy Kruisheren Restaurant’s culinary masterpieces, al fresco in the courtyard.
When at Maastricht and you want to have an amazing lunch or dinner then this is a place where you must look for. Amazing food. The beauty of history. And staff are professional and friendly. Do it. I can describe how much I enjoyed the time there

Feel welcomed as a friend to wine restaurant mes amis. Host Annaline, a passionate wine expert knows how to find the perfect one to accompany your dish. She loves the wines made in Limburg. Enjoy a private dinner with friends, family or colleagues? Be welcome at the cozy private dining room on the first floor of the historic building on Tongersestraat, 2 minutes away from the Vrijthof.
This one was a little bit of a mixed bag, the interior was cozy but the AC was too cold for my taste (we were sitting upstairs. Downstairs seemed considerably warmer); service was extremely friendly and professional, but it took ages for the different dishes to arrive; the food was ok and well-presented, but all in all not very exciting (except for the dessert which was quite creative); the wine pairing was ok but the wines were very young and not extremely developed - we expected more, given the price; they might have had a bad night, but I would not return to see if this really was the case.

Cafe de Zwaan is since 1901 a household name on the market square of Maastricht. A lively cafe with excellent regional cuisine. We also have a nice Etage overlooking the market square and old City Hall for private dinners with groups. In summer, enjoy a drink and meal on our cozy and spacious Terrace. We also have live music on a regular basis. Special eyecatcher is our walk-in fridge with more than 200 specialty craft beers. Walk in and choose a special beer or get advice from our beer sommeliers. We have good contacts with craft beer brewers so we always have limited editions and other very special beers. Our kitchen staff also cooks some of our dishes with craft beer, our so-called "beer cuisine". Tasty and original dishes with a craft beer twist. Everything made fresh every day. See you soon at De Zwaan
In the center of Maastricht, this cafe-restaurant offers some really nice plates. Friendly staff can help you to order (the menu is in several languages but you have to ask for this). There are some tables inside but also outside where you can sit even during cold weather using blankets ! Prices are affordable.

Nice place and nice atmosphere both inside and in the outside Terrace. Be sure to try one the cakes that they serve along with tea/ice tea. However, staff can be extremely rude even from the moment you enter (they told us that we cannot sit at a table because we were 4 and that table was for 3 and another time we went to the Terrace and they complaint that we should let them know first - both times it was not what they asked, but their attitude)

Situated in the center of Maastricht, on one of its busiest squares, 'De Markt', is where you will find 'Peter's Irish Pub'. Peters Irish Pub is an authentically and tastefully decorated Irish Pub. Its not just a pretty 'space' Good food, great staff, live sports and music plus a cozy atmosphere is a must for any Irish pub and 'Peters Irish Pub' is no exception to this. 'Peter's Irish Pub' is the ideal place to watch live sports with its numerous tv's and two large big screens and not to forget 'Super Sunday', "Sunday Roast dinner and sports". One of the perks of 'Peter's Irish Pub' is that you can reserve a table for you and your friends in the 'living room' area for cozy meetings or to watch your game, all free of charge. Before you know it, you too will be a regular at Peter's Irish Pub.
Great bar with a great atmosphere. Peter himself offers a warm and friendly welcome at any time.
Good food and good prices make it a top place to visit and would recommend for a pint or a longer stay.
Try to take in quiz night but only if you can get there early as it is very busy that night!

Entering the restaurant, we already had a very positive impression on the decoration as it was modern, clean, but with cool details. It expressed quality.
This expression of quality was kept up for the full evening. The amuses and specialty cocktail drink were delicious and surprising. The service was perfect - the sommelier explained the great wines with a lot of energy and enthusiasm, whereas the rest of the staff was more calm but friendly. Finally, the food was heaven. From the first until the last course it was an explosion of flavors. We have been to some Michelin restaurants and the quality of Rantree's food could definitely keep up with this.
Overall a great experience and if you like fine dining, you have to try it when you're in Maastricht!
