Italian Design and Culinary Craftsmanship Italy and Limburg meet in Pirandello. This restaurant offers fine Italian cuisine cooked with passion and the best fresh organic regional and seasonal ingredients. The Italian wines served at Pirandello are exquisite, and the selective choices on the menu guarantee an unforgettable dinner in one of the best Italian restaurants in the Limburg, Maastricht and Aachen regions. The refreshing and modern interior and the exquisite view of the natural landscape of the Province of Limburg render meals at Pirandello a truly unique experience. And on sunny days, meals can be enjoyed on the Terrace.
A nice and warm atmosphere at night with windows opening on wine yards lightened! A simple but delicious food! Very kind service!

We wanted to celebrate an early Christmas with family and after trying a few restaurants which were all fully booked we managed to book a table for six in this restaurant. The food was indeed great, as it should be for those prices, the atmosphere was quite nice as well, a pity they were not into the Christmas spirit yet but the service was painfully slow although they don't have that many table. Also the lady who would come to announce the special and some other things spoke so softely one could hardly hear her.
Bottom line, it we had a great time but for that price one expects everything to be perfect!

Just the regular greek/german, enhanced with some fried snacks, influenced from the dutch.
The typical "greek" fastfood dishes , like Gyros, are quite good. Atmosphere could be OK, if the takeaway wasn't right at the entrance. So don't expect romance here. Just go to eat, get stuffed, and roll out happy.

Lunch or drinks and bites under the vaulted ceilings The convivial vaulted ceilings of our historical country farmhouse also accommodate Luigi's Lunch Restaurant & Bar and our exclusive wine cellar. You can enjoy lunch, but we also welcome you for a cup of aromatic coffee with pastry. Or enjoy a delicious glass of wine or a cool glass of beer with Italian tapas with friends or colleagues. On sunny days we serve lunch on the sheltered patio in the historical inner courtyard.
The first time we had a private dinner in July and started outside on the Terrace and ended in Luigi's Trattoria. The Terrace needs on update (wicker chairs are broken so you easily infect your panty or clothes). The trattoria looks very nice. Food was very good and also the service. I am allergic for fruits and because all Deserts were with fruits they made a special desert for me: perfect!!!! The second time was three weeks ago and I went for a business lunch. The food was still good but the service very poor. I don't want to be arrogant but the two ladies who were serving us did not know what they were doing f.e. no knowledge of wines and ask guest to hand over the plates. Because the food is very good and the first time service was good I want to give it a try a third time!

As far as the food is concerned, you just can't go wrong here... every bite you take releases a taste explosion on your taste buds. For the food itself I would have rated this review with 6 stars if I could, unfortunately "attitude" gave me a bad aftertaste.
The lady who owns the place seems to think that part of her patrons are total idiots. For this occasion we had a Groupon package that included the meal and a night in a Junior SUITE (yes the voucher explicitly mentioned SUITE). However, when we arrived at the hotel in question (Van der Valk Heerlen), this turned out to be a so called Junior Room... which is smaller than their standard rooms.
Upon arrival I told the owner that I didn't appreciate that, especially since in the e-mails leading to the reservation there always had been a reference to a JR Suite. At first she tried to convince me that in fact a Junior Room is the same as a Junior Suite, since I have some experience with the hospitality industry I let her understand that I'm not the person who can be fooled by such baloney. Then her reaction was: oh well you get spend the night in a nice room with a rain shower, that's a good week-end anyway! That attitude is insulting and terribly arrogant, I would expect more from a Michelin rated restaurant owner.
Lady, take a lesson in humility... patrons pay your bills.

Local home cooking, cosey, friendly athmosphere, nice priced.
Cozy informal restaurant, with good food and low prices.
In order to suggest vegetarian alternatives to some sauces (alternatives that were not in the original menu list), the cook came in person to talk with us about possible variations; she was very honest about the non-vegetarian origin of some of the ingredients in seemingly vegetarian dishes

Ons gezellige restaurant is geopend van woensdag tot en met zondag. Op maandag en dinsdag zijn wij geopend voor groepen vanaf 30 personen.
A very nice Italian (but not exclusively, definitely more than just pizza and pasta) restaurant. Not too fancy but also not too casual. Decent prices and good food. I personally recommend their deer (if it's the season for it obviously). Calling for reservation is recommended (but that's normal at most restaurants nowadays).

We took a chance on this restaurant as we were passing and we were so glad we did. From the front of this place it is quite deceiving how big it is. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and the staff spoke very good English. The menu is in Greek with a Dutch description but with the help of Google translate and the smart phone camera that instantly changes the text into English for you, it was easy to understand. There is a good variety of beautiful Greek food with a selection of vegetarian dishes. The service was quick and the plentiful portions of food were just beautiful. It was very reasonably priced for a restaurant of this standard, we paid 55 euros in total on a two course meal for two , although we don't drink alcohol so it would be more if you select from the wine list etc. We would return to this place in a heart beat and cannot recommend it highly enough.
