The alpine garden Flore-Alpe is enchantingly situated at an altitude of 1500 metres overlooking Champex-Lac. At the foot of the Catogne, strolling the winding paths among the rockeries and Bridges overlooking the pools of glacial water, visitors can contemplate the magnificent and unique Panorama of Champex-Lac and the snow covered tops of the Combins.

GORGES Durnand A breathtaking spectacle Appointed in 1877, completely renovated in 1987, Gorges Durnand offer an amazing show them is to be classified among the ten most beautiful in Europe. Located in the town of Bovernier, the visible part of Durnand Gorge extends for about 1 km. It is accessed by a small bucolic path lined with blueberries and strawberries, which suddenly turns into a journey of suspended wooden walkways and stairs (330 steps in total) offering the visitor magical visions. Under his feet, water Durnand rolls, bubbles, swirls, bouncing noisily into a series of 14 Waterfalls, each more impressive as each other. While the foaming river rushes towards the plain, the sky comes down to a thin blue over dark cliffs tape. > It takes about one hour for the ride there and back by a small path through the forest schedule Visit the Gorges is open daily from 9am to 18pm, from 1 May to 31 October (if the weather permits!)

This Office is very helpful for advice and help with trekking or skiing in the Wilderness areas of the Swiss Alps leading up to Grand St Bernard Pass. For these activities local Swiss guides who know the area can be organised here. But, I visited to get a stamp for my Via Francigena pilgrim route credential, on my journey from Canterbury to Rome. The Office is knowledgable and helpful about this pilgrimage also. The Office is also very convenient to the Orsieres railway station.

We have driven up here and for those not used to the one car serpentine roads, it can be a bit frustrating. Once there however, the view is breathtaking and it's so fulfilling just to be there and walk around. You can either just stay at the "duvet" and have a drink or go hiking around. Either way it's well worth the visit, I recommend to do so in the summer!

Element is a small Ski School in Verbier with a focus on quality and on making sure our clients have the best possible time on the mountain. The team is deliberately small - a hand-picked group of the very best, most experienced ski instructors. We run a variety of products with Private Ski Lessons, Performance Camps, Off-piste Camps, Women's Camps and Instructor Training Programmes. We want to take your skiing to the next level. It's that simple.
We spent a week with Emma Cairns in Verbier and cannot say enough about the experience to do it full justice. Emma is THE BEST ski instructor we have encountered in a lifetime of skiing. She brings great enthusiasm, superb teaching skill and a thorough knowledge of the Verbier resort. She is also a particularly lovely person with whom to spend a week on the slopes.
Element appears to espouse a truly client focussed approach to their ski school and it shows in their willingness to design client - specific itineraries on the fly so as to provide an exceptional skiing experience each day depending on skill level, conditions and culinary preferences. We felt very well looked after despite the “terrifying traverse” into Highway...
We will be back!

Very good experience in a weird place from where you can't imagine finding such a game! We spend an incredibly quick hour playing with my 4 people team. It is really fun and well done. If you go around, don't hesitate! Come and play with friends or family or even for a business meeting!

Fromagerie, bar à vins et boutique de produits du terroir du Valais. Au sous-sol, cave d'affinage et salle de conférence (carnotzet)
Essentially a cheese shop combined with a wine bar - just off the multi-coloured Grand-St-Bernard/Forclaz roundabout - this welcoming not-sure-what-to-call-it serves up an impressive, tasty selection of cheeses and wines from the Valais in a modern, stylish, comfortable setting. Some cheeses are made on the premises. Sheep cheeses seem to be a speciality. Also noted an unusual blue Swiss cheese. Regional wines racked to the ceiling! Selection of locally-made fruit juices also available. Small outdoor Terrace. A good value apero spot.

In the heart of Espace Mont-Blanc, midway between Chamonix (F) and Martigny (CH), VerticAlp Emosson offers you a spectacular and unforgettable experience. Three unique rail systems take you to the amazing natural site of Emosson at an altitude of 1,965 m, facing the magnificent Panorama of the legendary Mont-Blanc.
We started our excursion at the Châtelard (1125m) by riding the funicular with its impressive 87% slope to reach the Montuires (1825m) where we took the mini train to the minifunic that brought us up to the Emosson dam (1965m). All working there were extremely welcoming and helpful. We went up there with our toddler. We did not take the stroller but it would have been totally feasible to take one with us as there were not too many people.
Highly recommended excursion!
