Great food. Also if you are vegan ask for the vegan menu. I had vegan nachos which I really enjoyed with a cocktail. My partner had vegan mushroom fajitas. I think all the food looked good and would recommend. Good service and friendly staff. Advisable to book on Thurs, Fri, Sat. We turned up on a Monday night and got a table but it was still fairly busy

Welcome to our traditional Kentish pub, with a twist, in the heart of the picturesque village of Wingham. Enjoy a warm welcome when you arrive at our family run inn to Drink, Eat and Sleep. Full of character, oak beams and cosy fireplaces relax with a Drink in the Lounge Bar, Eat our fantastic food in the restaurant and Sleep in one of our luxury en suite guestrooms. When the Great British weather allows our spectacular south-facing garden is open and we have plenty of parking.
We visited the Dog on Friday evening with friends after having seen it mentioned on various social media platforms We were not disappointed. The restaurant was busy so there was a great atmosphere but the staff were friendly and efficient and we enjoyed good service throughout. the manager was excellent and obviously passionate about the restaurant and spent time chatting with us. It was the second night of the new spring menu and the choices were exciting. I particularly enjoyed the bream as a main course. Very tasty indeed. The others in the party had beef and lamb and they raved about the quality of the meat. It is an excellent restaurant with good quality food and attentive friendly service.

An authentic Italian restaurant housed in an historic building just a short walk from the high street in Canterbury. All the dishes are prepared from scratch each day using the best Italian and locally sourced ingredients and lots and lots of passione!! Come and enjoy our freshly made bread and pasta, our traditional Neapolitan pizza, fresh meat and seafood dishes, not forgetting our mouthwatering home-made desserts. Whatever the occasion, you can be sure of great service in a relaxed atmosphere where you are free to savour the flavours and aromas of the Italian kitchen. We look forward to sharing them with you...
A well-versed local in a Canterbury pub recommended this restaurant and his enthusiasm prompted us to try it. Pinocchio's is down a quiet lane just off the high street and the frontage and interior is nothing special. It does however serve some very good Italian food from a decent menu and at a reasonable price. The wine list is well thought out with a decent red Casteldrione at the £20 mark. We had pre-booked on a Thursday evening and although the place was quite busy our food was served promptly and looked and tasted good. The service was good if somewhat perfunctory but I have no hesitation in recommending this charming restaurant.

Cafe du Soleil is situated beside the river Stour in Canterbury occupying a former 18th century wool store and is accessed by its own bridge over the river. The building was restored with a grant from English Heritage and showcases the extensive use of reclaimed building material from the 14C city wall. Our cuisine draws influence from Provence in southern France, and from Italy, to create a modern Mediterranean cuisine. The menu changes with the seasons, and much of our food is cooked in our wood burning oven, fed with locally sourced wood from managed forest.
Absolutely love this place. Great atmosphere and decor. The food is simply amazing everything I've ever tried in here is to a high standard. Some things you wouldn't think goes together like beef brisket with truffles macaroni cheese but it goes together lovely. They really get there flavours spot on here. Chicken saltimbocca is highly recommended as is the pork belly, beef brisket and the rump burger. If you're in the area be sure to visit this place for dinner.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch here, roast lamb, pork belly and ploughman’s
Good portions and fresh ingredients- great to see proper chips.
Stingy butter portions, had to ask for condiments and again tiny portions of mayo and mustard.
Interesting salad with the ploughman’s but the salad with the lovely baked Camembert was a bit ropey. Good chicken liver pate.
Good wine list.
Dog friendly
Will visit again!

Crepe stall, located on the main High Street of Canterbury, adjacent to Nasons Department Store. Serving sweet and savoury crepes of the highest standard, reliable, polite and friendly service assured.
We were looking for a fast and easy small lunch, and Cite Crepes fit the bill perfectly! Daughter had Nutella- her favorite, and Husband and I split a dark chocolate. Both crepes were perfectly cooked and delicious. Getting to see the crepes made in front...MoreThank you for the lovely positive review, It means we are constantly keeping up our standards, thank you also for taking the time to review and share, we look forward to welcoming you back soon. The Lady Luck is a Rock-N-Roll Themed pub situated in the heart of Canterbury City Centre. We serve Locally sourced homemade meals, and also offer an extensive Vegetarian and Vegan selection. We have a wide range of Burgers, Homemade Chilli, Homemade Pies, Traditional pub meals, Salads, Baguettes + Childrens menu.
We ate there in early February and really enjoyed the good pub food and beer at The Lady Luck. The Lady Luck is located on High Street which is the main shopping street not far from the Cathedral. It was a cold day and The Lady Luck was a great stop for a nice drink and hot food. We highly recommend The Lady Luck while in Canterbury!

First time to Canterbury and saw this place recommended in a travel blog. Got to say I totally agree with the recommendation.
Service was excellent, coffee fantastic and brunch very good. The family had a combination of Bacon Sandwiches, Pancakes and Waffles.
If you are local I would recommend.

If like me you love poached eggs, nice and runny and salty, go for the Scotch eggs, you won't be disappointed. Crunchy outside, peppery meat and beautifully viscous eggy centre. Served on a beef of crispy chips and choice of sauce and slaw. I went for the beetroot slaw and butter apple sauce. It all really worked well and with their friendly and efficient service added up to a 5 star lunch.
