Very nice walk from Pontresina, ca. 8km through valley and forrest. Horse taxis also operate so every few minutes you have to step aside to let the carriages pass -- but maybe that´s less in shoulder season. Of course that´s a very nice option for elderly or walking impaired guests to visit this beatiful valley.

Located just behind the the tall tower at Centre Square of Samedan .
After the changing at locker room , there is a large spa pool with 35 C and 40 C section.
(would suggest sign board requiring guests to clean themselves in the shower before going into the large of hot spa . )
Next level is the 3 stages of steam bath from not do hot to section .
Next level up is resting area with tea and water .
On the roof top there is a small open air spa pool with 35 C temp .
Concept and set up is good as there are massage services too which we did not try .
No bad to do end a few hours after a long day's walk for a cost of CHF 36

We went to the alpine resort village of St. Moritz and enjoyed the cable car ride and breathtaking views of the snow-covered Mountains.
Considering that St. Moritz has twice hosted the Winter Olympics, we decided that the world-championship downhill ski runs were a little too challenging for us. However, we did enjoy some cross-country skiing and the amazing mountain scenery.

This is a fantastic experience on the Morteratsch glacier from Diavolezza down to Morteratsch train station. 10 km slope over the glacier with very scenic views. It's not about skiing or snowboarding, it's about a very peaceful journey within nature. You can ski here only during about 2 months a year and only if there is enough snow on the glacier.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Got a tour bus of Japanese who joined us in the queue for the cable car in an orderly manner. Had some snacks and drinks in the café up on top. Friendly people. Clean toilets.

The Schaukaserei is right by the railway station, and offers a wonderful brunch - this needs to be booked the day before, but is definitely worth planning for.
There is a large selection of cheese and meat, as well as various different types of bread, all lovingly arranged.
We saw that most people who get off the train or wait for the train just go straight to the restaurant by the train station, but this hidden gem just behind the restaurant is worth going the extra few hundred yards for !

Corvatsch is the tallest "local" mountain in St. Moritz, and it absolutely pays to take the trip up to the very top. Although the "glacier walk" was closed when we were there, the views are simply spectacular.

Muottas Muralgl is built high in the Mountains and can be reached only by train, cycling or walking. There is only one Muottas Muralgl and if you are in the Engadine Valley then the experience of travelling up to this hotel, restaurant, viewing platform and hiking gateway into the high Alps above St Moritz is not to be missed. I had lunch here with some good friends who appreciate and can afford the better things in life, they loved the gourmet food ( we had Venison) , the restaurant table we were allocated allowed a view of St Moritz, and the lakes to Silverplanna and Italy beyond. After lunch we marvelled at the View from the modern totally refurbished viewing platform and hiked to view Samedan Airport far below. The train runs every 30 minutes and is an experience in itself as it climbs steeply up the mountainside allowing commanding views all around. Costs about 25CHF return, your arrival point station is newly refurbished as is the Romantik group hotel, Restaurant, and luxurious outdoor Terrace. There’s a children’s play area, free use of Blacksea type sheltered reclining lylows, mankind hiking trails are signposted from here through the Mountains. Visit Muottas Muralgl, you will not be disappointed!! It’s just awesome, seeing is believing!!!

We decided to have a massage and use the spa facilities (mixed) along with the indoor and outdoor pool. Swimming out of the building into the outside pool when it was snowing was a great experience and what a view! Really good public facility and I can't recommend it enough!

This small museum consists of an old well kept Engadiner house with original fittings, furniture and other artefacts.
Kitchen, sleeping quarters, store rooms etcetera.
But in some of the larger rooms, there are a few Exhibitions on local topics, history of alpinism and tourism in in the area, geology, hunting, local wildlife etc, with some artefacts related to that.
The Exhibitions feel a little dry, at least if you're visiting at the end of a day hike.
The main interest is seeing the interior of such a house and learning more about life in the area in the past.
They have a leaflet about the rooms and the artefacts. In English, and German.
If you use Reading glasses, you will need them though:-)
The information in the leaflet was a bit thin, but the man working there was very helpful and knowledgeable and could answer all questions I had, and some more, so that I came away having learnt quite a lot.
A visit takes 20 minutes to an hour, depending on time available and interest.
If fits nicely in after coming down the Alp Languard seilbahn, after a hike, or if you arrive in Pontresina too late to start a longer excursion.
Definitely well worth the time and admission fee, if you are in Pontresina anyway, or in the immediate area.
If you're not, then you need to be rather interested in old buildings and local culture, to make a side trip to Pontresina only for the purpose of this museum. Although maybe, as a rainy day program.
