Step back in time and experience life in a Medieval Castle. Explore Tudor and Stuart chambers, grand Victorian reception rooms and the magnificent late Medieval Great Hall. Tamworth Castle promises a brilliant day out for all the family. There is plenty to see and even more to do with hands on displays and costumes. The Castle Keep is set in extensive pleasure grounds in the centre of Tamworth's historic market town. Over the centuries the Medieval motte and bailey Castle has welcomed royal visitors, key figures in history and nobility. For more information please visit our website.
The visit to the castle was interesting and good value. The displays and hands on experiences made it very good for both kids and adults.Thank you for your 5 start review, the Castle and Castle Grounds provide a really fun day out for the whole family, our special events are also very popular with families so maybe try one of these out on your next visit.

Tittesworth Water is situated near to Leek, on the edge of the spectacular Peak District National Park. Open all year round, we offer a broad range of activities for those who enjoy the outdoors. The site is open every day except Christmas Day. The opening hours of the visitor centre are: Apr - Sept 10am - 6pm. Feb, Mar, Oct, 10am -5pm. Nov, Dec, Jan 10am - 4pm.
We decided to do the long walk round the Reservoir today and to have lunch at the Visitor Centre first. What a lovely tasty meal! I had the salmon en croute from the specials board. It came with crushed potatoes, peas, roasted red peppers and a fabulous sauce. My husband chose the chicken & chorizo baguette with chips. Both were cooked to perfection and I struggled to finish mine, as the portion was so large. We both commented on how good the coffee was too. We will certainly be back! There is also a nice gift shop, children's play area and several different walks to choose from- something for all ages.

Me and my family recently visited here and we all loved it.
There are many items to view and it is good to see the different sections of how the Stafford's evolved.
The trenches are amazing and it is something that is unique that i have never come across before.
We had a brilliant time and it was at a really good price of £10 for a family ticket.

Been promising my two girls a return trip to the farm for a long time, when we got there the car park was busy and the sun was shining so expecting a good day strawberry and gooseberry picking, well the strawberries are all gone, few left but all mouldy, 1000s of gooseberries but all on the floor and rotten!!! Got two tubs of blackberries to make a crumble and that was it. The kids had half hour on the two bouncing Castles £1.50 each so not bad, my GF and I sat with a ice cream £1.20 each but worth every penny.
On the whole a couple hours walking in the sun, kids playing and me and missus eating lovely ice creams, only live 10 min drive away so not a problem, if had driven an hour or so would have been a bit annoying.
Always next year.

The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK's year-round centre of Remembrance. Entry is free. To help you make the most of your visit; guided walks, tours and trails, learning activities, Exhibitions, a restaurant and a gift shop are also available.
I stopped off at the NMA on a long cross west/east journey and really didn’t know what to expect. After a wholesome lunch in the restaurant I set out for a stroll around singling out the Naval Services Memorial and the Polish Memorial for my hour stay. I was completely overwhelmed by the memorials and the sense of dignity. The facilities are excellent too and all the staff helpful and courteous. Our country should be proud.

A cookery school in the grounds of the Catton Hall Estate. Beautifully located & open at set times.
The whole day was really well organised with demonstrations, practical sesssions and a lovely lunch (prepared by ourselves). Jackie Kearney is passionate about her subject and a very entertaining tutor. We took samples home which my husband devoured and I have since made most of the dishes demonstrated with great feedback from my guests. Thank you to Jackie and her team who helped with the preparation and, did a lot of washing up!

We are a small, family owned childrens farm, which has been operating for over 30 years. We have lots of friendly farm animals, mostly undercover so weather does not cause any problems, we also have The Big Play Barn on site, which is a newly built indoor soft play centre. The Big Play Barn has its owe review page on trip advisor and you can look at their web page and facebook for more info. The farm is Ideal for all visitors who love animals and wish to have close contact with them. Plenty of handwashing facilities, ample free parking and activities throughout the day. The main daily activities include holding a baby chicken and bunny, go on a egg hunt to find a freshly laid egg from the Hen House, sit on the pony or shire horse! We also run the tractor and trailer ride everyday and children get a bucket of feed for the animal (except horses). There are extra activities that we put on thoughout the year and we also put on special events days so look out on facebook page and on our webpage for more info. On our farm we have falconary centre which puts on displays everyday (weather dependant) and we breed our Shire Horses in our Shire Horse Centre. All the activities are included in the farm admission price
Visited yesterday with my one year old daughter. Ice cold toilets and filthy baby changing area which may as well have been inside the animal barn. There was no way I would take her clothes off and change her nappy in ice cold toilets like that. 75% of the cafe was cordoned off so there was nowhere for us to sit and eat or have a drink. Spent a maximum of 25 minutes there because it was so awful. How’s it possible to stay somewhere where you can’t even sit and have food or do basic things like change a nappy. I’m so disappointed. And I am baffled as to why a 1 year old would have to pay the full child price when they can’t ecen do anything except be pushed around in a pram. Definitely won’t be visiting again. Total waste of £16 and all the horses loooked either sick or sedated. Horrible.

Over 600 acres of landscaped lakes and natural green open space. 2 play areas, miniature railway with tunnels, cafe, Information Centre/Shop, mobility scooter hire, toilets (plus disabled toilet), bike hire, orienteering course, and Water Sports clubs.
We came here today as a small walking group, we managed to walk 5 + miles by walking several of the routes which were very easy to navigate as they were marked with different coloured markers. A great place to see plenty of wildlife or fish on the carp pool (if you are into that), minature railway to entertain the children (currently closed for winter), a great place to just get out and enjoy the great outdoors. Maps available for 50p (Jan 2018) of the routes from the information centre.

As with all visits to cathedrals the sheer size and tranquility within is always welcome and a time to reflect on friends no longer with us. The stained glass windows are beautiful. The interior and exterior of the building are both in good repair and...MoreHi there, thanks very much for your kind words. We hope you visit the Cathedral again soon!

Come join us at Lucky Tails and meet all of our friends. This will include a talk about Alpacas in the barn shop, take our Alpacas for a walk, then meet the goats, rabbits, chickens. And finally back to the barn for a hot cuppa and biscuit. Your experience will start in our visitors barn with an introduction into Alpacas, fleeces, breeding programmes and what we have set out to achieve at the farm. You will then be taken to meet our fluffy friends and harness up your own Alpaca. We will then go for a very leisurely stroll around the land with Penelope, Brooke, Willow or anyone or our herd. There will be a great opportunity for a photo shoot and those all important "selfies". Once we have the Alpacas back in their paddocks you will be able to meet the other residents starting with; - Our pygmy goats. - Continental giant bunnies in their bespoke village. - 50 plus chickens including Silkys, Polands and "bog standard" layers.
An interesting & entertaining time with the wonderful Alpacas plus plenty more adorable creatures to get up close & personal with. I particularly liked the Kune Kune pig who used my leg as a scratching post. The owner is a lovely lady who clearly adores all of her animals. We visited in a group of four adults as a birthday treat & all left feeling happy with our experience at Lucky Tails. Advance warning is to wear your Wellies.
