If you were to go by price alone you'd would assume that The Square Man is relatively fine dining (for a country town)... the setting is an old historic building, which doesn't really lend itself well to a restaurant because there's not really a main dining room. Rather, our group of 7 was in one room, with another group in the next room and so on. The result is that you feel rather isolated both from the other diners and from the Waitstaff.
The service was a bit strange. As an example, half our entrees arrived, and three were still missing. They arrived about 10 minutes later without a word. Mains were delivered almost as soon as our entrees were cleared, which was fine, but usually you have a little break between each course. The table itself was quite wide, and although there was space on both sides for the Waitstaff, they passed plates over to us rather than coming around, which was kind of unpolished. On switching from sparkling to white wine, the waitress asked if we would like fresh glasses, which seemed a fairly obvious question.
As for the food, well, it was interesting on paper, but someone needs to tell the chef to tone down the sweetness of the sauces, and also go easy on the curled beetroot garnishes (the same curl on every dish at the table).

Since opening in 1993, SSS has been an institution for tourists and locals alike. This wild west dining adventure is country right down to its cowboy boots. SSS is for everybody, perfect for families, special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries, entertaining that important business client or the tourist wanting a true 'Aussie' experience. The customer is king at SSS and hospitality is our life. When you walk through the wooden doors help yourself to complimentary popcorn and peanuts, take a seat in the bar for a gourmet brewed beer or a hand picked local wine and then go through to your table for tender meat that falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. Come let us take care of you.

The whole place has a lovely feel with big comfy chairs..a lovely fish tank and unusual light fittings. It was busy but staff couldnt have done enough for us and had a good sense of humour. The food was lovely..we ordered from the Malaysian menu. Service wasnt slow either. Highly recommend.

Ok - I love a good breakfast and coffee. Gusto is amazing - wonderful selection of food, wifi, friendly service and great location - opposite centrepoint in Peel st.
I highly recommend the vego breakfast: poached eggs, wholemeal sourdough toast, grilled haloumi, roasted tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms. Yum.

Prompt efficient and pleasant service, a good start to the evening. We ordered the tiger prawn salad and the soft shell crab as entrees. The prawns salad was beautiful, I’m used to fresh seafood living on the coast, and could not complain. Whilst I’m not a huge soft shell crab eater, I thought it was good but my partner in crime thought it a little bland! Each to their own!!
For main we ordered a steak to share, a 500gm steak with mushroom sauce and sides of chunky chips and steamed veg. The steak, compare to the night before at the safari club, this was definitely worth the $55. I am so pleased we shared the steak!!! I couldn’t have had it all after the lovely entrees. A great cut of meat, and cooked to perfection! The steamed vegetables were fabulous! The chef and staff should be very very proud of what they have created!!!

I took my partner here for Fathers day for a breakfast. We ordered coffees with our meals. We sat for 50 minutes before our coffees were bought out. There were other people that came in way after us that had their mains already. The girl that bought our coffees over was rude when she said sorry it is a bit late, no eye contact whatsoever. It then took a further 25 minutes for our breakfasts to arrive. By this time we were starving hungry, no table water to wash our rather small meals down. We were both disgusted in the poor service and will never return. The premises were only 1/4 full. When you know it is going to be a big day like Fathers day, get more staff and staff that know how to speak to customers.

This place caters for a phenomenal number of patrons and does extremely well. Seafood platter is good with top pieces of fish, prawns, calamari, scallops, chips and salad. However, the real good food are the steaks. Although some say they are expensive, the size and quality of the meat is exceptional. The eye fillet is one of the best I’ve had, with really good gravy. A must eat at place in Tamworth.

DECO is CH on Peel's in-house restaurant, the style of cuisine is a fusion of Middle Eastern & Mediterranean flavours.
A lunch date with friends to a venue we had been talking about for some time.
We chose the $35 lunch menu which is good value with choice of main and dessert and a beverage. The Chardonnay was a lovely drop - often house wines are below par.
The menu doesn't allow for sharing, which is something we like to do and can usually - the selections didn't support this. My burger was good, my friends risotto was very oily.
The desserts were very good - my Vanilla Bean Brûlée was lovely and my friend enjoyed the Mousse.
The waiter seemed like he was having a bad day.
In summary, the meals were acceptable, just not up to my expectations.
