Join any of our tours through the wine region of Binissalem. You will visit the oldest and best wineries of the island to know their history, secrets and of course taste their award winning wines. We want you to learn about why our wines are unique, we also want you to improve your wine tasting skills with us but always having fun! We will also tour you through the country side to show you the oldest vineyards of the island (70 years old) and also have a taste in the middle of the fields. All tastes come with typical Mallorquin tapas. We can also organize any type of typical meals for you on our famous "Finca Tour"
My family and I decided to book the Mallorca Wine Train Tour and contacted Miriam to arrange. The tour exceeded our expectations, Miriam our guide talked about each of the bodegas we visited with a wealth of knowledge, her passion about the local wine was clear to see which made our day a wonderful experience. I can't rate this tour highly enough, thank you Miriam you are a credit to the Malloran tourist industry. Thanks again Wendy Worrall

Personalised guided tours though the winery with explanations on the history of the bodega and the winemaking process. Visits conclude with a tasting of a selection of wines served in the garden or inside the 18th Century family house. Prior booking is required. The guided tour can be done in Spanish, English, German, Dutch or French. Catering is available for groups on request. Please note that during harvest, the winery will remain closed from 14h to 16h. Thank you!
We visited 4 wineries while in Mallorca and this was our favorite. The guide was very good at explaining all the production nuances and the tasting was superb.

Definitely worth a visit, good variety of shops for both sexes. Not much children's wear wise however there is a park and a small funfair/indoor play area for kids that was brilliant (bouncy castle, trampolines, carousel, soft play all at €2 per ride). Parking is free and shops are open late with plenty of restaurants to eat at. The outlet is outdoors and is very tastefully decorated/designed.

Son Gual was the last of the 4 courses we played in Majorca and we played on the morning our departure, so we could get to he airport easily. The day started ominously with steady drizzle but, despite a poor forecast, our round was largely played in dry weather but the fairways were quite wet after torrential overnight rain and thunderstorms. That said, the immaculate tees and greens had drained well and were in excellent condition. It did not take long to adjust to the regular noise from the overhead planes. The course is NOT for beginners; for experienced golfers it is a fair challenge off the white tees and it is possible to score well with good course management - it is quite open whilst designed to punish wayward shots. Whilst relatively long, most of the holes can be reached in regulation by a mid handicap golfer who is solid off the tee. It is an excellent course and well worth a visit in spite of the high price.

We made the mistake of not asking the TUI rep pushing this show where it was and they did not volunteer the crucial info that not only was it well to the north of Palma but with all the other pick-ups, the journey from Cala d'Or would take 2 hours 10 minutes. Interestingly Trip Advisor reviews showed a week earlier someone from Neath also staying at our hotel was persuaded by the same reps to go to the show without being told it would take so long and they were also unhappy. We had a good driver but he struggled to get good radio reception in the east so for the first 75 minutes of our journey endured distorted music/Spanish voices. We had no accompanying guide and had been told very little about the show other than it was fantastic.
It took 25 minutes from the time we arrived at the venue to be seated and to be given a bottle of white wine which we had to ask for, there being only red at the table. Having drunk a bottle of Chardonnay Macebo purchased from Lidl for just over 3 euro a couple of days earlier I can say this bottle of Viura (the same grape as Macebo) was considerably inferior to that wine. In this day and age when it is so easy to serve acceptable wine why serve dreadful wine? We had been told platinum customers got better wine but had thought with gold we would have received wine comparable to a typical restaurant house white. We managed just over half the bottle but could only manage a couple of sips of the even worse cava poured later.
You can understand service being a little impersonal on an occasion like this but it was terrible. Food plonked down with no explanation of what it was (there was no menu on the table and we could not remember from 5 days earlier what the food was). Twice my wife received her food several minutes before me.
The first 2 courses were not worth bothering with. We quite enjoyed the main course (pork) and the dessert was ok, although awkward to eat in the dark.
Overall it would have been far better to make the meal 2 courses only, serve acceptable wine and to complete serving before the show started.
Before the show proper we had a band playing old American theme tunes from shows like Mission Impossible. instead of gentle background Spanish-themed music we had very loud American music seeking to drown out the sounds of people eating.
Instead of the band's brass section being used occasionally to add colour and interest, they were blasting away all the time. they were then joined by 4 singers, at least 2 of whom had had good singing careers. I thought the guys were ok but did not like the voices of the women and found them shrill, shriek and shouty. Personal taste. (Incidentally one has a website reproduced on Son amar's own website claiming she worked with the raper Pitbull. Was this the rapper Pitbull or merely a randy dog?)
We have been to many shows and Concerts but this was too loud and shrill, with very little shading. It was mostly high volume shout, screech, shout which set of my wife's tinnitus.
The show itself faced much of the same problems. Rather than build tension and drama the different acts started full force and had nowhere to go. We have seen many flamenco shows and make round trips of 5 hours to London to see flamenco superstar,Sara Baras, when she comes to London but the Fusion dancing lacked drama or passion despite the dancers being technically competent and having attractive costumes.
Over 25 years ago Michael Flatley and Maria Pages mixed Irish with flamenco dancing so there was nothing innovative about this idea and the show had a rather dated feel especially with the quick change artists (who were good as was the contortionist if you like contortionists).
I have seen great variety shows in Berlin and Paris and have seen 3 different Cirque du Soleils all of which merged humour with music/dance/specialisms. there was no humour in the Fusion show unless I missed it but I never heard laughter. I liked the Fountain show at the very end much more than the stage show.
We made our views known to the very helpful Elaine at the show and to our reps afterwards and they referred us to the show's Trip Adviser ratings.
I noticed three things about these. 1) this show's ratings are not as good as those of the Pirates show. 2) In the last week 16 visitors posted excellent reviews about the Pirates show, only 3 posted excellent reviews about Son amar. 3) Some of the criticisms I made about the service and lack of info on travel times were made by other customers but not taken on board by Son amar or tui.
The show has talented performers and has had quite a bit of money spent on it but as anyone who watched Liverpool and Man U draw 0-0 recently knows, you can still have a disappointing show with talented performers if there is no drama or tension.

The Iberostar Group new 5 Star hotel
had recently opened.
We had lunch in their Astir Restaurant, overlooking the small very attractive beach.
Charming friendly and helpful staff.
A fairly limited but very pricey menu.
The food was promptly served and well presented.
An extensive wine list.
Because of its almost unique position the restaurant and the hotel with its super rooms and some with magnificent sea views.
Not a place for the financially feint hearted!!
Would we go back, yes , but for drinks

I like Cala Estancia a lot, the Beaches are very good and clean. There are lots of very good restaurants and bars with plenty of variety to choose from. It is also very close to Palma and you can walk it along a Promenade, it is worth a visit.

We walked up from Orient. Not only is the walk good (though strenuous) and the views superb but right at the top is a little café in a glorious location. How they built all the buildings up there is a mystery but the day to day needs are all brought up by mule (so £1.50 for a Twix bar is actually good value).
