This was our 4th time to this gem of a restaurant in the outskirts of Binissalem, 15 km north of Palma. After visiting the wineries a lunch or dinner at Can Arabi is a good choise. we always pick the tapas, and finish with the Raw meat, where we get the hot stone, so we can sit and enjoy our own 'cooking' with a nice salat.. We will come back.

In Binisallem, take the street running away from the church square, alongside Banca March. About 200 metres along you will find this little gem on your left hand side.
Family owned and run you will find the place packed to the gunnels most days, with Mallorquins, not tourists.
The food is simple, ample, well prepared and ridiculously priced. The Menu del Dia is €9, for three courses, including a good sized glass of Ca'n Novell local wine or a soft drink. On a recent visit we enjoyed black rice (with squid and prawns), then pork cordon bleu with a little salad and real (as in not "oven") chips, finished off with wonderful home made almond ice cream. Haut cuisine it is not ...... value for money it most certainly is.
Hunt this place down. You are unlikely to be disappointed.

Stopped on a warm sunny winter afternoon for lunch. The patio Seating is inviting and comfortable, the waiter friendly and attentive. The menu boasts quite a list of pizzas, along with plenty of appetizing alternatives, so don't feel obligated to one type of food! Some water with gas and potatoes bravas starts the meal.
Crispy potatoes and a slightly spicy bravas sauce were amazing, and had me highly anticipating our pizzas- one Mallorcan and one Binnisalem. Upon arrival, the care taken to assemble these lovelies was apparent.
Then we cut our first slices. The bread was tasty, adequately thin, and appropriate for being the pizza that it was. Tasty toppings as well.
The only drawback, for us, was the amount of cheese. We needed to pull some off in order to enjoy our meal. Now, you may love the cheese overload, and that's fine by me. Just be aware that it's more than I felt appropriate.
Thanks Es P'dal for a wonderful mid-ride break. Oh, almost forgot to mention- the interior is so beautiful we can't wait to comeback for a cocktail later. Looks like a great place to spend an evening.

We stopped for lunch after a tour of fine wineries of the plains of Mallorca. You know the food will be great when at 3 pm the place fills up with locals. Service was friendly but not speedy. Then again you are there to experience the local culture and that we did. The table next to ours was clearly occupied by either elderly owners or perennial customers. They were impressed that we gringos ordered the traditional bread soup but wanted to show us the protocol to eat it! This soup is so think and out of the oven piping hot that you (with care) should turn it upside down in another plate to let the steam out. One gentleman also wanted us to know that he grew the olives we were eating. My espagnol is passable so we were able to converse. Next came our mains. I had the quails on the parilla and my wife a traditional stew of pork, lamb and beef ribs stewed with raisins and cabbage in a tomato sauce. With a bottle of local rose, the total came to 38 euros. A bargain with local charm. Don't expect fancy decor. Go for the food.

Just go and enjoy exceptional food prepared by an amazing chef! A small narrow unpretentious room (no fancy linens here) with excellent servers who present the day's choices on plates with a detailed explanation. We have great memories of the generous portions of sushi-grade salmon on rocket in parmesan baskets, the cloud-like spinach ravioli, and the sea urchin vongole. A short but well curated wine list.
The chef is destined for greatness!

We had a delicious and very reasonably priced dinner here - gorgeous, juicy lamb chops and homemade chips. Lovely, friendly service and a great wine list. But oh my god, the chocolate fondant pudding! I've never tasted anything like it - sooo rich and melting! If you go, you just have to order it....still dreaming about it now!

We visited this café/bakery three times during a cycling trip in Mallorca and every time it was excellent. It is located just off the main square (on the road off the corner closest to the church tower). The staff were very friendly and explained what was on offer to us (in English). They serve delicious vegetarian flatbreads and savoury pastries, as well as a range of sweet pastries, cakes and biscuits. They also sell home-baked bread to take away. Everything we had was fresh and tasty. There are a few seats on the street outside and we were able to leave our bikes out here while we ate inside which was very light due to the glass front. It was brilliant value and we enjoyed it so much that after our first visit we planned our cycle routes to reach this spot for lunch again! Would definitely return.
