Visited the Fat Olives last weekend
Meet with a warm welcome & asked what table we would like to sit at
The service & meal were great Starters The pastry caramelised onion tart & tuna
Main course Loin of Lamb & Trout
Presentation excellent & taste even better
The one thing I would say is the Fat Olive just lacked a little but of atmosphere
Ideal place if your planning a special occasion with someone special

I had an excellent 3 course dinner and evening at this great restaurant. The Giovanni Melazane al Forno as my main with spiced aubergine was very tasty. So were my starter and Tiramisu. I enjoyed the authentic Italian food and quiet atmosphere. I can't wait to go again soon. Andy, Emsworth

Visited with my partner on a Friday evening as we have recently moved to the area from Knowle and was advised to try pasha. Staff were really friendly and nothing too much trouble. When an extra item arrived at our table due to a miscommunication, the restaurant manager could see we were a little perplexed and he immediately removed the item no trouble and explained it would be taken off the bill. Food wise I tried one of their lamb specials which was really flavoursome whilst my partner had a chicken biriyani which she said the meat was deliciously tender. All in all a good evening as the restaurant part is not too big so you feel really looked after as their isn't an overload of tables for the staff to deal with. My only complaint is having to walk through the crowds at the door collecting their takeaway but in a good sense means the food is obviously very popular.

Our family party of 8 had the best meal out for a long time anywhere. A fabulour menu including an individual Glutern Free Menu for my Coeliac wife. The scallops starter, venison mains were divine. Looked great and tasted great. The choice of sweets was great and the flaming peanut butter brule was a wow. The young waiter and all the staff were professional and attentive. Whilst we live in Devon we visit Portsmouth a lot and would definitely visit again if the opportunity arises. The pricing of the menu was really good considereing the quality of this restaurant. So in all a TOP place to visit which I would highly recommend.

Flintstones is a harbour side cafe with panoramic views. We offer breakfast, light lunches , afternoon teas and new forest ice creams.
We found this by chance and what serendipidy. Utterly charming, nearly full but with a regular turnover of patrons who unlike us seemed all to be there because they knew it and likely were regulars. A testament in itself. Warm friendly service. Excellent hot chocolate with a mince pie and cream. Just the job towards the end of our wander around Emsworth - in itself a rewarding explore.....

The Blue Bell Inn Emsworth Public House offers a comfortable space in which to meet friends and socialise and is well stocked with a wide range of Real ales some of which are local, lagers, wines and spirits. The Blue Bell has developed a reputation for delivering fine food at reasonable prices under the watchful eye of owner Giles and head chef Steve. See what the fuss is about. Only yards from the harbour quay, this busy local is at the heart of the community, its the perfect spot for a drink or a bite to eat after a walk around the harbour. We pride ourself on the quality of the food at The Blue Bell, with it all being made in house, and using local suppliers were ever possible which helps support the local economy.
We have enjoyed the Blue Bell many times. The latest being with friends on a busy Friday evening. It’s always busy here so book ahead.
Whilst known for splendid Fish & Chips the menu and especially the daily specials offer much more. The quality matches the generous portions so value is assured. You can enjoy Scallops, belly pork, lasagne and more.
The Blue Bell serves good local beers and the wine list is better than you get in many pubs. It is a busy local so expect a bit of bustle but it’s very friendly and service is helpful. It is popular because it is genuine, plays to its strengths and avoids any unnecessary pretentiousness. We will keep going

We came for lunch. The food was excellent. The burgers were homemade and very good. Triple cooked chips were great too. Reasonably priced as well. The lady behind the bar, Tracey was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Will definitely be going back.

A reputation for excellent food and deliciously fresh ales hasn’t gone to our head. The Red Lion has centuries of history to live up to, and does so with a regularly changing menu and perfectly poured pints - ideally sampled from our gorgeous garden or by our cosy fireplace.
A homely country pub with a spacious car park, situated in a tiny village amidst scenic countryside, this can be aptly described as a (re)treat with superb customer service from all staff members, excellent food and a great atmosphere. Best to avoid conventional meal times...Morethank you for your lovely review look forward to seeing you soon at the red lion

Went here on a Thursday night had two cokes that were flat . Starter mix platter for two. Main something simple one beef curry one vegetables curry two rice . Both tasted the same with lovely raw onions . My girlfriend couldn't eat hers so instead of taking it back to the kitchen they decided to put it in tubs at the table . So after touching money and then touching food isnt right in my book . Last thing get rid of the small plates for the main and jumbo forks .
