Eastleigh is in Hampshire, England, and the main town in the Borough of Eastleigh. The town lies between Southampton and Winchester, and is part of the South Hampshire conurbation. The first substantial growth was as a railway town. Now it is home to many businesses, including a manufacturing plant owned by Prysmian Cables & Systems (formerly the cables division of Pirelli). The town lies on the River Itchen, one of England's premier chalk streams for fly fishing, a designated site of Special Scientific Interest.

Come and Join us here in Otterbourne Hampshire, when the weather is good we like to be outside trekking or walking Alpacas. This allows you the general public to come and get up close to these beautiful animals, hear them hum to each other, feel how soft their fleece is and look into their big brown eyes! It also serves us a purpose as we get them used to people and being handled on the halters,
Had a great time getting up close and personal with these alpacas. The host was informative and funny. This was despite it being cold and wet.It was cold but you soon warmed the alpacas up when you took them for a lovely walk and fed them! look forward to seeing you again

The classic and original Go Ape experience. We'll brief you for safety before you fly down our zip-wires, leap off our Tarzan Swing and tackle our crossings whilst enjoying some of Britain's most breathtaking scenery. Swinging through the canopy, wiping out at the bottom of zip wires and going on an adventure brings the family together like nothing else we've ever seen. It really does. It's for anyone who likes to live life adventurously - you don't have to be a seasoned explorer to enjoy a Go Ape experience!
The staff here are absolutely first class, through out the whole experience from checking in, the demo and the instructors on the course. So friendly, helpful and fun! The sun was shining through the forest and couldn’t have been a nicer day for it. We had such a good time, thank you!

My wife and I attended The Otter on a return trip to Southampton and Eastleigh. We stopped at this quite village Green location as it is local to my brass band (Otterbourne Brass) rehearsal room, and a lovely location I had always wished to sample. The menu looked great and the pud is very, very quaint and snug......a beautiful, ole English setting. Hope to have many revisits in the future!

This dual gauge miniature railway takes visitors on a 20 minute round trip ride between Eastleigh Parkway and Monks Brook Halt, providing an opportunity to visit the lakes, children's playground and picnic areas adjacent to the Halt.
This is a nice place to visit for a few hours
I was expecting a little more to be there
Free parking
A small cafe serving hot and cold food
Cheap tickets make it accessible
We enjoyed the trip, the steam trains are lovely, well maintained. They run every 15 minutes and the tickets are really cheap
There is a stop enroute where kids can play in the park
I wouldn't spend more the two to three hours there
All in all a nice few hours out

The Steamship Shieldhall is the largest working steam ship in Britain. A member of the National Historic Fleet she serves as a sea going tribute to Britain's maritime heritage. As a passenger you too can experience the golden age of steam by booking on an excursion or visiting her in Southampton.
Went on the Shieldhall for a private party. Excellent trip down the Solent accompanied by its fantastic whistle! Run by volunteers and lovingly cared for, an interesting bit of history. You are welcome to visit the engine room which is a gleaming sight. Food and drink available.

What a great idea. A place without TV, music, games, food, just local Ales that you wouldn’t normally get in the food pubs. Nice wood tables & chairs/benches, in an atmosphere of people simply enjoying the variety of Ales (they also have some wines & soft drinks) and where you can hear yourself talk.
Not opened on Monday and Tuesday and the opening hours are on their Facebook page. Plenty of Parking available.

I had envisaged that this tour would merely be a climb to the tower roof to admire the views. In fact, there is so much more to see, involving moving around a planned route just below ‘ceiling’ level. Incredible! It was fascinating to learn how this ancient building had been constructed, including earth ‘ballast’ to keep the whole structure grounded on the flood plain. We saw centuries old wall painting, graffiti.
Steep spiral staircases and ladders have to be scaled on the tour, so visitors need to be reasonably fit and mobile.
To end, we finally admired the views from the rooftop-fabulous! We were lucky enough to have a clear sky to enhance our visit.
Our guide was excellent in ensuring we safely completed the tour and gave us a brilliant insight into this amazing building. A must see on a visit to Winchester.

Team Sport Southampton Don’t hold back when racing around TeamSport Eastleigh’s 400-metre incredibly wide track, providing ample overtaking opportunities. The magnificent exit corner from the bridge allows speeds of up to 40mph down the Hanger straight before the Dunlop curve, a high-speed double apex corner with a tight entry and wide exit providing a test of determination and skill. Two exciting hairpins running in opposite directions are the last obstacles before its time to get back on the accelerator giving it full throttle over the flyover!
My 2 sons and I had a fantastic couple of hours here. The track is quite long / large - and enough for a decent racing experience. It is also wide enough for overtaking chances so you are less likely to get stuck behind someone...MoreBrilliant to hear your feedback regarding our team and facilities! We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Kind regards, LucindaF
