Uxbridge (/ˈʌksbrɪdʒ/) is a town in west London, England, and the administrative headquarters of the London Borough of Hillingdon. Fifteen miles (24.1 km) west-northwest of Charing Cross, it is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. Uxbridge historically formed part of the parish of Hillingdon in the county of Middlesex, and was a significant local commercial centre from an early time. As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century it expanded and increased in population, becoming a municipal borough in 1955, and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. It is a significant retail and commercial centre, and is the location of Brunel University and the Uxbridge campus of Buckinghamshire New University. The town is close to the boundary with Buckinghamshire, which is locally the River Colne.

I haven't been for many a year but the same Quality service is very much the foremost asset of this restaurant. We both had different steaks, perfectly cooked but, and this is my only criticism, the sauce seemed to come from the same stockpot albeit with the addition of whatever suited the plate. Desert trolley is still a winner and the ambience still delights. Wine list very good. Still the place to beat within a 10-mile radius nonetheless.

All the family arrived to celebrate Mum’s 80th birthday. Lovely oval table and waitress was very attentive
Food was very nice though mine could have been warmer!
Only negative was the Birthday girl’s meal took ages to appear.
We had brought a cake which they provided plates and a knife to cut up.
All in all a lovely evening. I think mum enjoyed it

Best fillet steak at good value
We have been meaning to go to Martins Place for many years, people have recommended it, and having walked passed it on numerous occasions it always seems busy.
Martins place seats about 18 people, so its small and cosy.
We booked and luckily we could get a table for two, sadly we had a group of 6 behind us who were very loud. In such a small place it over powering. They left and a normal level of conversation noise resumed.
The service was very pleasant. The menu is limited, but has a reasonable selection.
The food we ordered was nice and good portions. I ordered the calves liver for my main course, sadly it was burnt on the bottom, I didn't mention it. Plenty of vegetables were provided.
This is not fine dining, but on the whole good food. As well as being very reasonably priced.
I am not sure we will be rushing back.
I give it a 6 out of 10 overall, but slightly less for the liver!

Lovely traditional-feel English pub in a adorable little English village. The food was several notches above typical pub fare - nice variety on the menu and my rather picky colleague was very happy with their options and the friendly staff’s willingness to further accommodate her needs.

The WatersEdge is a family run, independent restaurant, bar, function and wedding venue with accommodation in Cowley, near Uxbridge. Its picturesque location on the Grand Union Canal is close to West London, Heathrow and has excellent transport links within walking distance. This makes us a favourite venue for all occasions and our hotel style letting rooms are popular with business travellers and those visiting London. Our chefs strive to create great tasting simple food that is satisfying and great value for money. We look forward to welcoming you for a visit soon!
I was there with a group of 10 for Christmas lunch: maybe this isn't the best way to see it but I thought service was OK (barely), food was distinctly average. Not somewhere I would want to go back to.
