We walked around here on a wintery afternoon - thin ice on the lake and Sunshine made everything sparkle. The park designers put in some good viewing points around the park - e.g. you can see the palace in Aschaffenburg. The park is kept very clean and tidy. There is a great playground for the kids to enjoy. Would like to return to see the spring flowers!

There is a museum attached to the castle grounds. It has a lot of collections of different kinds. But very little explanations in English and hence found it difficult top appreciate. Very nice replicas of the Colosseum and many roman and Italian buildings. Entrance fee is 7 euro per person which includes the admission to the Pompeijanum. The attached church is beautiful. The altar is a highlight of German Renaissance sculpture was made in the 16th century out of alabaster.

Its not the sort of place where you see much change, on this occasion there was a nice visiting exhibition from the Munich Museum on the upper floor. It is a bit irksome that photography is not allowed.

In the center of Aschaffenburg, near of all the shopping areas, this parc is simply a delight. Wonderful, especially with the ruins full of majestic peacocks. in sommer: good place to have an icecream!

This is a beautiful church in the old town area of Aschaffenburg and one that you should make sure to see. The sculptures inside are ornate and the setting is charming.

Amazing marble church. Graceful and bueatiful. A cool place to visit in the hottest summer days. Oh I spent so much of my youth in bueatiful Aschaffenburg.

Easy to find, lots of parking, reasonable price. Pretty large so no congestion on the ice. Café OK but inadequately staffed so slow service and sticky tables.

Located adjacent to the beautiful Stifs Church, this interesting museum displays both archaeology finds from the neighboring area, plus Medieval church related treasures. Also included is one, small room filled with church-related torture instruments. An hour's visit here is0 worth the modest admissions price.

I visited this shopping mall for a tea and a Sandwich, and ended up doing some serious shopping. there are some really good stores inside, like C and A. there are also some nice coffee shops and take away food outlets. If you have forgotten to pack something for your trip, I'm fairly sure that you will find it here.
