Spend a day at the huge amusement park, Heide Park. There are kiddie rides, thrill rides, shows and restaurants. Children should not miss the adventure playground. The season runs from the end of March through November.
First trip to Heide Park and enjoyed it. Its a merlin park so its very similar to Alton Towers but much better than Thorpe Park.
Some of the rides are very modern with a similar ride to swarm at Thorpe Park and Oblivion at Alton Towers. The queues were very small on the Thursday but noticeably longer on Friday. They also have a few unique rides - Bob Bahn being the closest most of us will get to a bob sled - may favourite ride.
We stayed at the onsite "Holiday Park" which basically glorified camping in a wooden shed. Nothing wrong with it at all. The all inclusive food buffet for dinner and breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed the play area. If you like camping e.g communal showers and toilets then this will be fine. If you don't then maybe the hotel is a better option.
We enjoyed out stay - it was the kids third visit and they still liked it
If you like Alton Towers you will like this place. Worth a trip if visiting Germany. Very close to centre parcs as well if you are visiting there.

We've been to the "Soltau Therme" on several occasions over the years, it's a super day IN (LOL)
There are cold and hot pools, salt and fresh pools, very hot AND very cold pools, there is a "herbal mister" room (clears the sinus's)
A real good day for the kids, A MUST SEE AND VISIT !!!

I get used to Visit Metzingen, Stuttgart. This Outlet is smaller but not too bad. I found desigual stuffs and my husband got his Mustang jeans. The best Price was fantastic. What a pitty that we didn't find anything for our kids. Anyway, they were happy with the playground and the shopping (Car) cart.
Tip: those who'll visit and may be hungry can stop at Asia Hung restaurant.

This is a peaceful and beautiful place. As all of the B&CWC sites this cemetery is no different and the grounds are kept immaculate.Like almost all CWGC war Cemeteries the layout follows standard guidelines. The whole cemetery is grassed, a few individual trees breaking the view. A total of 2,086 British, 140 Canadian, 79 Australian, 38 New Zealand, 2 South African, 1 Greek, 19 Polish, 5 Russian, 2 Yugoslav war dead and 29 persons of unknown nationality have their final resting place in this cemetery.

The Boehme Familienpark has paved walkways and bicycle paths. It is not too big and not too small. It has good walkability and offers benches along the way. The greenery and flower beds, the grass areas and the Playgrounds, the fitness parkour and the ponds, the water Fountain and the river "Boehme" winding through the park make this place an enjoyable outdoor space for young and old.

The museum that you can visit during your break visiting heide and Serengeti park, too.
It has activities for children - that's the most important if you travel with your family. One floor is just for their activities. They can also try making balls of wool using the technique that is demonstrated in the museum. Our daughter loved that:)
Childen can also watch different toys-animals, make a picture using pieces of wool.
However, for adults it was a bit boring.
There is a shop on the ground floor. However, everything is very expensive (it is hand-made). We bought some small souvenir (Christmas toy) home to remember the trip.

The Golfpark Soltau offers a 27-hole Golf Couse in the beautiful landscape of the "Lüneburger Heide". Learn how to play golf in our golf school.

This is a great place to go when the weather is rubbish. Me, my husband and my son all had a great time here! It was €16 for all three of us, which is actually really cheap for Germany and considering we stayed for 4 hours was really worth it! It wasn't over crowded either. They serve food there too which is really reasonably priced, €2.90 for chips and fish fingers! The playing equipment all seems cleaned and in good condition too with plenty of places for the adults to sit. Overall a fantastic day and well worth a visit on a cold miserable day!
