The capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, Dusseldorf is a regional economic powerhouse straddling the banks of the Rhine River. Altstadt is not just Dusseldorf's lovely old town, but also where the city's nightlife is based and where Altbier, its native dark beer, is plentiful. Dusselforfians take their beer seriously. Königsallee (Ko to the locals), Dusseldorf's famous shopping street, has many high-end stores. And the Museum Kunst Palast has one of the Rhineland's best art collections.

for me, though it's not glamorous at all, it's the best Restaurant in Duesseldorf.
Highly sophisticated art of cooking (international base) on the one hand, highly sophisticated in the other hand for "regional" food. Always changing menu, no boredom at all. Though the location is not glamorous and though you cannot make a reservation, I queue up. There's j just one other Restaurant in the world, in Paris, where I queue up. Hoping that it will be better in the future with a new location just beside I will go on queuing...

We have been here with a Group of about 12 Persons including a few children.
Although we created a lot of confusion (changing places all the time, children playing) the owner and the personell treated us splendid and were helpfull and friendly throughout the evening. The ambience was splendid.
So was the food, you have a wide range of different kind of food from fish to meat or vegetarian dishes. The side orders and the dessert were just perfect. Prices are resonable and can be checked on the internet.
A lot of greek wines are offered too. I am not a fan of greek wine but was surprised to see that the wine was really on a high level and able to compete with french or italian wine.

Any restaurant packed to near capacity on a Tuesday night and with a clientele of mature loyalists must be doing something right.
Service is theatrical, food varied and flavoursome. We shared mixed starters as recommended by Amici which helped with the choice and then had individual mains. Both fish and meat choices were consumed with equal passion. Biscotti with coffee a delight.

Looks like being in Japan !
Everything from the furniture to the waiters and style looks like Japan !
And the food is simply great !
I recommend Ramen, of course.
Please note that the quantities are huge. We were not able to finish our portion!
Definitely recommended

Small fine restaurant with high standards of food and drink. Super kitchen, more than 90 wines, including more than 50 by the glass. Great Terrace. Come over!

After a week touring the Rhine river, we were ready for something other than German food. The Bosporus was not only a welcome change but a highlight of our trip. If I return to Dusseldorf, this will be my first stop. We were a large group and had the opportunity to try many dishes - all of them were superb. The service was excellent as well.

Table reservation is mandatory for this place (quick confirmation if you make it online).
When entering you are kind of surprised as the ambiente is loud, noisy, busy, cramped....
A lot of young couples, groups of students and tourists...
Tables stand very! close together!
Service of the Italian speaking (male only) waiters was friendly but some unnecessary waiting time was to endure as the service seemed somehow chaotic (up to 4 different waiters attending our table).
Pizza was very good, really crispy :)
Pasta (mezzelune with sage and gorgonzola) were also tasty.
Tiramisu (shared) was delicious.
Price/quality ratio is good :)

Thugs I liked: great meats with perfect cooking, staff was super polite
Things we didn’t like:
Atmosphere and interior design were off, eg some furniture were old or the very basic/simple form - consider that it’s not a cheap restaurant
A dish with four grilled shrimps and two pieces of lettuce costed 17-18€, we felt like fools
In other words the steaks were good themselves alone but felt a bit ripped off - it’s not only the food that counts
