This place is all about it's amazing atmosphere and beer. The food is very basic and "Hausmannskost" or in other words the German version of "pub grub", but that's okay, we didn't expect anything else in a Brauhaus.
Go for the atmosphere and go for the beer, then you should be more than fine and have a fantastic time.

We asked the owner of our hotel for a good restaurant in Luneburg and she suggested this restaurant. So we went there and that was really a bingo. Very friendly staff, we all ordered local dishes, food was prepared quick and it was very tasty (my 'Luneburger classic' was amazing), the prices quite low for what we had got. Recommended!!

We had burger and chips as it was listed in the menu as "homemade". Which it was. The menu is pretty standard German fare with a couple of favourites such as the burgers we had. Well presented and tasty, this is more of a "ad...MoreMany thanks for your review. We hope to welcome you back - one day. Greetings from the Lanzelot-Team

I spent a few months in Luneburg and in my opinion this is the best restaurant in the area. The food is delicious. We were a party of nine and they set up a table especially for us. we then ordered. We asked our waitress the difference between pancakes and pfannkuchen and the waitress advised us that if we ordered both we would see the difference. Bit strange I thought. Our food came in 3 different time zones. I received my meal a good 30-40 mins after the first meal for one of my party arrived. The ironic thing was that I ordered the same dish! When we complained we were advised that it was not possible to deliver a large order together. Though it did seem possible to fulfil other orders in the meantime. That said the food was excellent and all of us enjoyed our meal just not together!

It is advisable to reserve in advance, the first evening we walked in at 5.30pm we tried in vain.
The steaks were very well done ("medium-well" to the point). The salad bar was a plus. The service was good despite all tables (at least on the lower floor) being occupied. The only negative: if the restaurant is fully booked, then it can get crowded at the salad bar. It is not very spacious. Otherwise nice atmosphere. All in all very good value for a not too expensive steakhouse.

Fantastic Indian restaurant we found while exploring the city. They have a lunch special during the work week. Our meal for two cost approximately 23 Euro. I had vegetable biryani and my partner had a chicken vegetable dish. Portion size was big. The service was...Morethank you very much

Had lunch here whilst on business to Luneburg and it was very enjoyable. I opted for a Panini with Cream Cheese and Turkey which was very nicely presented with a super fresh and tastily dressed salad... Not only delicious but also excellent value at just €5.50 To drink I had a Coke Zero which was €2.50 for a 0.2L bottle. Service was friendly and efficient and the ambience and décor in the Café was bright, fresh, clean and modern with nice touches such as candle and fresh flowers on the tables. There are toilets but these are down some stairs in the basement, so not sure how accessible these would be to someone with a disability or mobility issues. I would recommend Café Zeitgeist and would visit again if in the area.
