Grandad, 2 Dads, 3 Grandsons, 2 Grandaughters, spent the morning on dune buggies. The instructor was multi-lingual and spoke perfect English, instructions on safety and road awareness given, and they spent 90 minutes travelling around the countryside and on quite roads. When they returned, they were all covered in red dust from top to toe. So be aware everything, including shoes will have to be washed. But all agreed it was a wonderful experience. and would love to do it again.

From the very first email received from Angela to confirm our booking, after answering all of my dumb questions about what trousers to wear, how to get there etc, it was terrific service. This was a family day out to break up the sunbathing and it was simply the most fun we've had together in years. We had arranged a transfer from our apartment 40 minutes away which arrived on time in a great minibus. On arrival we had our briefing and filled in our paperwork before taking three quads carrying 6 of us (loads of room) up into the hills for nearly 3.5hours. We stopped for drinks after an hour then again another hour later to swim in an amazing lake in the hills for 30 minutes before continuing our journey. Our guide was superb and we were able to sample a part of Portugal we didn't know at all. The trails we were on, at times, were pretty steep but this added to the fun. Just a note on what to wear ...it is seriously dusty so don't go with your best gear on. You will be given a hair net and face mask; wear both!! You will thank me later! That just made the day even more involving so do yourself a HUGE favour and book this up. Great people with a great business using first rate equipment. Smiles all round at our end and we will definitely use again.

Move from tree to tree through a series of games and trails at varied heights such as zip lines, skateboarding, rope Bridges and ascenders. Also offering Paintball, only booking. Located in front of Santa Eulalia Beach, 10 minutes walking distance from Oura Beach. More information at our website.
Took my 10yr old daughter to this park and she loved every minute of it. Sonya her instructor was so attentive and caring and really helped my daughter feel at ease as she had never done it before, she was ziplining through the forest, climbing trees, running through nets and walking over wobbly planks and she had such a fun time. The staff are so lovely and attentive and she was allowed to go round the course as many times as she wished. Really reasonably priced activity and such a fun way for kids ( and adults) to get back to nature in this beautiful place. We would definitely return.

Always nice to find a hidden gem. While visiting some friends outside Faro, they suggested we head out one afternoon to their favourite art gallery. It is a little hard to find but our phone GPS did the trick and we pulled up to an old farm house after about a half hour drive.
Michael, the co-owner, greeted us as we entered this quaint little art gallery. It is housed in an old farm house that has generally been left as is. The Gardens have a variety of art for sale and as you enter each room in the house, you discover new and interesting pieces. It is an eclectic mix of art which is what a good art gallery should be.
Michael was a great host and even offered up tea or coffee in the garden. He certainly has a great eye for local artists. And he even has a few of his own pieces for sale (loved the old door prints). My friends have quite a few pieces from here and I now see why they keep coming back for more.
Loved it!!

Discover the mysteries of the oceans at the Algarve best family theme park. Located in Guia, just a few kilometers from Albufeira, you can watch presentations with dolphins, seals and sea lions, with tropical birds and birds of prey. Besides these presentations, there is also an amazing aquarium with sharks, various habitats, 4D Cinema, attractions, amusements, swimming pools and the new Zoomarine Beach, that will make your visit to Zoomarine unforgettable. Unique sensations on a journey through world of knowledge and adventure where adults and children discover the mysteries of marine life in a day full of surprises and emotions.
A visit to Zoomarine today was such a pleasure with pleasant staff and many interesting shows and experiences. In particular, the dolphin show was superb and the sea lion show very entertaining, we haven't seen better even at the well renowned SeaWorld.
The member of staff at The Americas bird habitat was very informative and made that visit really interesting. The cafeteria was clean and the food tasty. We would highly recommend Zoomarine for all the family and will definitely return on our next visit to the Algarve.
The food at the cafeteria was tasty

Corte Real is a leading Art Gallery in the Algarve specialising in fine contemporary art ,sculptures and high quality Gyclee prints. The gallery has a world wide customer base and a high reputation for promoting the best in Affordable Art in both paintings and sculptures . Whilst the Corte Real Gallery exhibits strong examples of both contemporary Figurative and Abstract Art,it has developed a recognisable style that has earned it a loyal following over the past ten years . The gallery works directly with carefully selected artists who are particularly strong in their artistic genre many having ongoing success with major Exhibitions across Europe and the United States. From the protected village of Paderne follow the signs 'Corte Real'
For me, a novice painter and a lover of all things different, a visit to this gallery is a must! Filled with interesting things and a wonderful display of paintings in a unique setting. In early summer this little Quinta is surrounded with wild flowers. There are ceramics and unusual gifts set both inside and out. Every visit here is different. The owners are very knowledgable on all the artists on display and there is ways and means of getting purchases transported to your homeland, if not a resident. Follow the signs from the main road. There are some lovely walks nearby with panoramic views of the area.
Make time for a visit!

One of the nicest Beaches in the Algarve. Easily accessible and safe bathing. Small beach but so very pretty. We love it. There is also a restaurant on the beach so you can get food and drinks. It is a little on the expensive side though, as are all beach restaurants.

From the experience we had with Algarve Emotions I can highly recommend them. We were three people, including my mother who has mobility problems. We wanted to see as much as possible of the Algarve during our stay there. Prior to arriving I contacted the company re tours and they were quick to respond with suggested options and pricing. Their prices were excellent.
Our first tour was to the Eastern Algarve (we were staying in Villamoura). We were picked up at the scheduled time from our hotel. The driver Adolfo Madeira was polite, friendly, helpful and very informative. The car was comfortable. We were taken to a view point then to the market town of Loule with time to look around, then on to Tavira (the lunch stop) and on the way back we stopped at Faro. We were out from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm. The tour was Euro 110.
Our second tour we did the West of the Algarve stopping at many coastal places and to Monchique, it was an interesting tour. Tour Euro 110
The day before we flew home it was a rainy day so we booked a trip to Algarve Shopping. This time we had Sardrine drive us, she didn't speak much English, but she speaks French and she dropped us at the shopping centre and collected us later in the day as arranged.
When we return to the Algarve we hope to book more trips . They do trips to the attractions too.

We walked to this beach from Vilamoura early one morning. Wonderful views, peaceful beach. Not that many spots to stop for a drink along the way so make sure you take plenty of water along. Stopped here for a drink and a bite to eat. Sat in the beach bar, Golfinho, looking out to sea and didn't want to move. If you are walking back to Vilamoura too the tide comes in and the beach is a little sloped and harder to walk along on the way back.
