Many tourists know Windsor for its casino. But if you dig a little deeper, you’ll find fascinating history here. Once an important stop on the Underground Railroad, Windsor became an important center of whisky production and, thus, a major smuggling port during Prohibition. (Apparently Al Capone liked his Canadian Club.) In summer, catch the enormous fireworks display at the International Freedom Festival.

Just come here--it's one of the best! Located on Erie St., you really can't go wrong! The cozy environment and small dimensions lend itself to a romantic atmosphere. Service is great--servers are super sweet. And don't get me started about the food--it's just like grandma made it! You really can't get much better than in Italy itself. Let me tell you, I've been there, and this place gives any restaurant in Italy a run for its money. Try the roasted beet salad, you won't be disappointed! The beef short rib is absolutely mouth-watering--literally falling off the bone! The pesto genovese and bolognese are both phenomenal! I've had the veal scallopine, which seemed bland and salty at the same time. However, I'm personally not a fan of veal scallopine, so I'm not the one to ask. You cannot skip the tiramisu here! Terrific!!!

My fiancé and I ate at the restaurant for the first time last weekend, and the owner Fil and his staff gave an exceptional service. We highly recommend this restaurant for their great food especially their bruschetta appetizer, great service and wine! Thank you and we will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu

We at Mazaar combine friendly service with an extensive menu, offering a wide variety of fresh Lebanese entrees and appetizers. The restaurant is quaint and “romantic “service is good. But that’s about it. Its dated and cheaply done. Like no updates since it opened.
Bargain basement style dish towels are your napkins and economy looking silverware (all the same size) and serving dishes. Salad is served in a cheap metal bowl. It works but it’s by no means “FINE DINING” this is like setting up a nice ambiance in your basement at home.
This place is highly overrated and I don’t see why.
My wife and I have been twice the we order the same thing when we go. Caesar salad. This is served in a big metal bowl and is literally Romain lettuce that’s cut twice. You have to cut it gain to be able to eat it unless you’re a farm animal. (this has been this way both times we attended)
The wine is good as reported by my wife. The drinks are served in very small glasses even the normal drinks such as Coke are served in cheap old looking little glasses. They are similar to the cheap little glasses you get to drink OJ in at a hotel for continental breakfast.
We both order steak I get NY Strip and Wife gets Filet Mignon.
The steak we both got on our last visit came with cheap spaghetti and bland sauce. I was shocked because last time I went I got a potato and veggie. So, I won’t be back to this place again.
This place is just one of them restaurants with a following and people enjoy it. I personally won’t be back because I get a much better experience from a place like the Keg where
Maybe I’m missing something but who serves spaghetti with steak and that’s it? The waiter said. Oh if you want veggies you have to ask as pasta is what we serve. So they give you 50 cents worth of cheap pasta and a steak that’s fine dining?
Personally, I’ll go to the keg as I get a much better service. Nice dishware, great service, good food, good size drinks, and the same price as the cook shop.

Please do not tell anyone about Calabrisella. We found the restaurant this past Friday evening after a matinee in Windsor. I am up for trying anything but was a bit skeptical when the first restaurant was packed and Calabrisella had open tables. What a great meal and evening. It has a wonderful family feel and the food is outstanding. We will definitely be back even though it is a 45 minutes drive and we have to cross the boarder into Canada.

Wonderful meal. Pleasantly surprised. Relaxed artsy decor. Friendly waiter. Meals were tasty and filling. I will definately return. I never knew that this place existed in this tiny lane in Windsor. I had brunch , the eggs charlotte ( like eggs Benedict with smoked salmon $12+tax). My friend had fluffy looking pancakes with strawberry-like sauce. Nearby parking lot or side street meter parking on pelissier St.

I came over with my family to Windsor from Detroit for a quick brunch and we decided to try Paul's kitchen after Reading a lot of good reviews and it really lived up to our expectations! Very good quality food and huge portions. Loved the hash brown and the house special fruit crepes. Recommended!!

This restaurant has changed hands many times and many different food choices. However, it has finally found it's niche. There is a vast list of all kinds of burgers from plain to super chili to fantastic cheese but what is extra special are the fries. If you have never had garlic fries you have to try them there.
