Thermal hot water filled pools with no roof and snowing weather - one does not put these two together to be enjoyed. Think again - it is real fun and fantastic experience, especially if one can enjoy at the same time some good drinks, has a possibility to eat a really good meal and have some fun in saunas. It is really worth to visit even in winter.

We were here with friends this week (march 17). Great little spot to learn to ski or just practice. There were no queues as previously mentioned. We had fresh snow along with the artificial snow which is made overnight. The ski pass and ski equipment prices are so reasonable - Its not the Alps but it is soooo much cheaper. Good for little ones too. Nice restaurant at the top. Ski lift takes you up and down, for those not wanting to ski.

Nice place to go skiing, especially if your're a rookie or acompanied by one. More experienced skiers will get bored after 4 hours. Two major slopes are of about 600 to 900 meters long.Wide and flat - good to practice carving. Modern lifts.

This is an example that cemetery is not always a place of monumental sadness and memories. This is rather a meeting place with history of Zakopane, it's famous personalities, as well as showroom of local sculptors. Each grave is different and you can feel a piece of history behind of all of them.

The terma Szaflary is a combination of thermal bath and aqua park. We visited two different termas: Szaflary and Bialka within the same week in June. We were impressed by their popularity, especially within families with children. Both facilities (Białka and Szaflary) are very modern and offer the similar prices. However, the Białka is a bit cheaper, and offers the senior discount at the age of sixty (Szaflary at sixty five). For details see each terma’s website. Both termas have an electronic key system ~ the key assigned to you, to secure your locker, and/or to buy in-house drinks or food. Also, both have the quiet quarters (extra fee) and sounarium (extra fee).
We liked Białka more than Szaflary because it has more advanced facilities. Especially, we missed the “wild river” facilities of Bialka.
The contest of the mineral water is easily found on termas websites. Per our observation, the Szaflary water has much more sulfur, because our silver rings got dark there.

Termy Bukovina

Reviewed By Agnieszka C

A nice place to relax. It offers a few outdoor and indoor swimming pools with different water temperature, usually varying from +28 to +36 degrees Celsjus. There are separate swimming pools for children (not too many for very young kids), some jacuzzi, some sunbeds, there is sauna and spa and other amenities. Make sure that you know what is included in your ticket, because some things (like sauna) are at additional costs. The "shortest" stay is 30 minutes, but it's not enough :) The car park is free of charge. The changing rooms and the showers are clean, there are many toilets inside of the Termy. I have a feeling that there are not enough lockers because every time I leave (we usually go there in the morning) I can hear someone complain that there is no locker available anymore and they have to wait for a locker to be freed by other customers. The disadvantage of the place is that it can be quite cold between one pool and another, especially if someone leaves the door to the indoor pool open when it's cold outside. Every pool has a lifeguard, and the pools vary in depth so even if you can't swim you still can have fun. They used to offer aqua aerobics, this year I haven't noticed it, I hope they will offer it next year again. Overall, quite expensive but nice and worth visiting at least once during your stay in Bukowina.

Zakopane Natalia - Kuligi

Reviewed By Steve-Mackem - Sunderland, United Kingdom

Once again, this being our third visit to Krakow, we took local transport and travelled up to the beautiful mountain town of Zakopane. The journey takes about two and a half hours but it is really worth it when you get to this wonderful place. It is reminiscent of the Bavarian or Austrian Alps and features outstanding mountain scenery. You can travel by funicular rail to the top of the town and have a cold drink while enjoying the fantastic views, or browse through the many market stalls for local wares. This is one place I would recommend highly for a visit.
