Sato, Japanese restaurant - Gulf Hotel Bahrain. The Gulf Hotel's distinguished Sato restaurant has earned itself a reputation for serving the absolute best in Japanese cuisine led by Chef Naotaka. It is favored by guests who are said to love its peaceful Zen-like surroundings and exquisite features, including Teppanyaki rooms and a sushi bar with a smoking section. A popular á la carte menu is also available and features a wide range of traditional noodle dishes and bento. Sato makes the perfect location for those looking for a genuine insight into Japanese cuisine and culture.
I have been here a couple of times. The first time I did come here was a few years ago and my experience then was great. However, when i did return, I was surprised with the quality of the food. The taste of the food wasn't that great. The chicken and the rice had been overcooked. However the sushi did make up for it.
Although you can find other Japanese restaurants which are cheaper and do have better food, it is still worth a visit to take in the ambiance as well the show put on in the Teppanyaki room.
We had also asked to be seated in a quieter room. However, we were seated in a room where there was a very loud group.
I have not visited since my last visit so hopefully standards have improved.

The setting and décor of Monsoon is lovely The staff and all very pleasant and friendly too. There were 6 of us for lunch on Friday, we started with prawn tempura, chicken in banana leaves, spring rolls and satay. All beautifully presented and very tasty though I thought the satay rather bland. Then for mains we had rending, prawns with cashewnuts, crispy chicken, beef stir fry Pad Thai noodles and rice, all were fine Then we had a selection of Deserts to finish A pleasant meal but not enough punchy Far East flavours for me, too bland

Savor the very best of Chinese fine dining with a creative flair of exquisite Far Eastern flavors.
We had lunch at China Garden yesterday. We had vegetable spring rolls to start, minced duck in lettuce wraps, very nice but duck needed more hoi sin sauce. Then chilli prawns, sizzling beef in black pepper sauce but were very good The beef was just as good as we used to get in Hong Kong

We visited Bushido for the first time and were very impressed. We were a family of two adults and a 10 and 12 year old.
Reception are very quick to respond to questions via email and are extremely polite.
The food in the restaurant was presented beautifully and was very flavoursome. The drinks menu was varied and had a different selection of cocktails.
The decor inside and outside is fabulous, it was a great environment to eat in.
The only negative was that all of us were very cold, the AC was set rather low.
We would certainly visit this restaurant again.

It is the place for the celebration meal, the service staff is great, the ambiance is more contemporary and minimalist. the food is high-quality ingredients and above average in terms of tasty, however, none of that can take away from the overly priced dishes. the price takes away all the fun from a good meal .. by far most expensive restaurant in town

Maki Bahrain is the “crown jewel” of Moda Mall and the World Trade Center in Manama. After a long day shopping the most prestigious brands at the mall, settle at Maki Bahrain for a fine, contemporary Japanese meal. The lounge is ideal for business and private functions, and after-hours unwinding!
I came here with a number of colleagues for lunch. I liked how varied the menu was, it had nice mouth-watering dishes, but they all were very much overpriced.
Food was served and we all enjoyed it. I think their standards are very high, but no surprise no surprise for an award-winning restaurant.
I won't say this is a must if you are in Bahrain, there are similar restaurants that are far much cheaper.

At Legendz, an award-winning steakhouse, we share our passion for prime meat cuts, fine wines and the art of cooking. Friendly and professional service complements the stylish, contemporary setting. It's of the best venues in Manama for business lunches, family gatherings or romantic evenings with your loved ones.
A very nice and warm Italian ristorante. Pleasant background music but most of all great food. I have eaten here several times and it’s really good! Waitresses are very friendly and show passion.

Open to all and welcome to all that want to experience a British Pub, our quality of food is a surprise to many!<br><br>"Best fish and chips on the island" we are told<br><br>Try the pies "Michelin Star"<br><br>Darts, pool, games, books, quite dark corners or sit at the bar, quiet enough to talk, loud enough to create an atmosphere<br><br>What more could you want?<br><br>Regulars are not customers....They are friends here<br><br>Last orders are 1.20 Am, time at 1.30 Am and we say goodnight to one and all at 2 am sharp!!!
Eating out once in a while is something both me and Tash my lovely wife look forward to. As a chef I don't mind doing the cooking at home, but hectic work schedule is always a hindrance.
Based in the lovely Gulf Hotel, the Sherlock Holmes pub is a gem of a place. It's kept the tradition of a typical British style pub settings. Stained glass window designs etc.
They provided a sports bar setting for those who enjoy the games or you could just chill by the bar with friends.
The food is traditionally British, including a tasty bangers and mash. Some dished can be pricey like the Lamb racks at a whopping BHD 14.00 (£ 30.00 approximately). But lots of more average priced meals to choose from should budget be a concern.
Drinks are reasonably priced and variety are in abundance.
Great place to hang out with mates.
Drawbacks: this is a smoking environment so if you have issues with smoke you might not like it.
Take that away, great place, friendly , efficient staff and good place to hangout.
