How can one explain the stunning beauty of a natural blue spring, bursting from the bottom of a small ravine, where one can sit overlooking the slow, swimming trout? My first glimpse of the quelle (spring) was many years ago, when my husband took me...MoreDear RhythmA5678, thank you very much for your rating. We are looking forward to welcome you soon. ALL THE BEST. Gaby & Alex Struth & the whole Blaue Quelle staff

If you love all the typical Bavarian food Schupfnudeln,Knödel and all the other wonderful things they make with potatoes, you´ll be happy here. Great salads and sauces. for meat eaters of course, the best dishes in Germany are Bavarian... Bernhard´s has an excellent choice. It is always busy so best is to make areservation...service a little slow but the food makes up for it all.

We went there for dinner after our long drive down Germany. The service and food were excellent it was fresh and made with love. We would recommend it if you want a traditional Bavarian meal!

Thats what my 8 year old son calls the owner and talks about his ice cream for a whole year. Amazing cakes too and a very friendly staff makes every visit very pleasant. The taste is worth every calorie!!!!!!

Very well positioned for skiers coming from Munich or Salzburg direction and going for a week or two to the slopes of Tyrol, Vorarlberg, Alto-Adige and Eastern Switzerland. A two hours' stop for a delightful lunch means you check-in at your destination before dinner time while avoiding most of the worst traffic jams on route. Beware, though, that on the 4-5 weekends when a major number of Europeans travels this route it is highly recommended you book a table in advance.
Typical Austrian no-nonsense cuisine, yet with a personal touch of the chef. Do not go for the Wienerschnitzel (though excellent), there are so many tasty traditional (but updated!) Tyrolean dishes you are unlikely to eat during your skiing time on a hotel half-board regimen or in the mountain huts. It is truly worth to take a tasting menu. My personal appreciation of the kitchen after the latest visit remained at 14 on a 0-20 scale. Wine list is hardly extensive or complete, yet the wines offered are well chosen for the cuisine. Service very friendly and attentive. Washrooms nice and well kept. Parking in front of the hotel/restaurant.
The bill will not hit you hard, but note that the place is renowned as the best restaurant in the wider Kufstein area, so cheap is not the word to be applied. You might come across a local gentleman wearing a tie, but informal is the rule.

Just 5 minutes from the centre of Oberaudorf by car or a 20 mins walk it is a world away.
It is an old farmhouse on a back road yet it is stepping back in time inside.
food is typical local food , home made to order .
What is special is the atmosphere inside .

Sunday night in Oberaudorf not much is open. Filled with skepticism and with a dearth of options, we chose to get a takeway pizza and were very pleasantly surprised. Tasty pizza, and would recommend the tuna salad to share.

Lying between Ebbs and Niederndorf on the main road this restaurant came to us as highly recommended by a friend local to the area.
It is a large alpine Gasthaus at the bottom of a huge mountain. Picture perfect positioning for such a place.
The service here was swift and friendly and the food was nothing short of being very good. Prices were reasonable and along with the good service, food and scenery we thought this place was pretty awesome.
There are however lots of these places in the vicinity and although this particular one was very good, we seem not to have returned for whatever reason. Perhaps because we have our favourites closer to home and some are even better.
However when it comes to food and restaurants, reviews are often a VERY personal thing.
There was nothing wrong with this restaurant, it is just that we haven’t been back.
Would I recommend it to someone else…. Yes I would.

This is an amazing valley - no road at all - already have one review further down the valley !
This Alm is at the far end of the Kaisertal valley (no road) so is an approx 2 hour walk on the direct path from the car park at Kufstein (need to climb up 100 hundred steps to get into to this fabulous scenic valley). If you walk the far end of the valley you reach this guest house surrounded by high peaks . It has good food and drink a great play area and river running through . On a summer's day with their plant pots out it was a great place to end the walk (for climbers the start).
Inside it is immaculate and with a great style in this remote location so would be great destination for walkers to stop for the night (we did minor this time so can't comment further on the accomadation).
(I have also reviewed the Alm nearer Kufstein for a shorter walk in the Kaisertal)

Living on fresh air and love - it's not possible - but you can try out our inimitable restaurant in Kufstein In an informal, laid-back atmosphere we serve not only original creations from Tyrolean and Viennese cuisine, but also steaks, grilled on hot lava stone. Add a glass of wine from the excellent selection in our wine cellar and you can really feel the exuberant joie de vivre in the rustic rooms of our restaurant. We look forward to welcoming you to our special restaurant in Kufstein!
Part of the Träumerei #8 Boutique Hotel and the quality is on the same level in both - excellent! Their traditional Tyrolean dishes are great - just make sure you come with empty stomach as dishes are large and you just cannot stop eating ;-) Good beer and wine choices and service is top quality. Price level is very reasonable. For something different, try tapas platter made in Tyrolean style! It's great and i quarantee there is enough to eat. Definitely a place to visit - just remember to make a reservation, as it is very popular place!
