I followed one of Greg’s courses (switchbacks for dummies ;-)) in June 2014, and I would strongly recommend it.
- I learnt plenty of things and in a fun way. The coach is patient, and passes his knowledge in an understandable manner. Even somebody like me with a pathetic level managed to make the most of it, which is quite an achievement for the coach ;-)
- Greg (the coach) knows the Cote d’Azur like the back of his hand. He always has an unknown (to us) and fantastic trail up his sleeve to propose.
- Excellent value for money. Service is top notch (e.g brand new van)
Well, as a conclusion, I would add I registered for another outing in August (which is the best evidence of my positive feedback).

These ancient artworks are interspersed with many classically-inspired paintings, drawings, and scupltures by artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Dufy, Cézanne, Rodin, Dali, Andy Warhol, Marc Quinn, Anthony Gormley and Damien Hirst.NewWe will be co-hosting a temporary exhibition with the village of Mougins from the 12th April to 28th May 2012, Myths & Heros.A selection of sculptures, paintings & mosaics by Picasso, Arman, Sosno, Renoir, Rubens, Cezanne & Turchi on display in the Espace Culturelle.

Spend an hour and see how ancient art can influence and mix with modern. What a wonderful collection that was donated! Really a fun experience. However, the lighting needs a bit of work in order to identify all of the works.

Jardins du Musee International de la Perfume Mouans – Sartoux France
The title of this demonstration garden is probably best translated into English as the ‘Botanic Gardens of the international Perfume Museum’. You are likely to find it interesting if you are intrigued to see the some of the plants which provide the raw components for the perfume industry, or you are just fascinated by horticulture/gardens. It is situated near a large commercial garden centre on the outskirts of Mouans, off the Casino supermarket roundabout. It is on a rather uninspiring flat, 2 hectare site. Do not expect a beautifully laid out garden, first impressions are of a field, predominantly covered by low growing vegetation, although there is a more ‘traditional garden’ incorporated into part of the design. What is in flower will obviously depend of the time of year which visit, May is probably best (centre only open May to September). There is good signage in both English and French describing the different beds and excellent additional notes in English available to borrow from reception. The purpose is to display the flowering plants such as roses, jasmine. Lavender, tuberose and oranges which provide chemical scent sources for the French perfume industry. The Grasse area to produce many of these crops for the industry , but as the notes point out they are now sourced from around the world dependent upon such factors as where they grow best, how many crops can be achieved each year and labour cost.
After about 30 minutes of wandering and Reading you will most likely find yourself captivated by the place. The commitment of the small staff is obvious , as their dedication to organic gardening and the encouragement of wildlife.
Well worth a visit; you are guaranteed to learn something new, even if it only about the different parts of plants other than flowers which provide source scents, as they still cannot be artificially synthesised. A visitor attraction with unrealised potential.
Entry €4 .Closed Tuesdays. large free car park. Very small shop. Small indoor interpretive display. Toilets. Cold drinks machine.

If you don't know the work of Fernard Leger, this is the place to discover it. A totally civilised museum in a beautiful setting which does all it can to show Leger's progression from post-impressionism through Cubism to tubism.
Suggestions: buy the catalogue and take your time; suggested visit 1hr 45- 2hr. If you are coming from Nice, take the train to Beaulieu-sur-Mer then order an icila ride to the door or take the no 10 bus. For me, it surpasses the Picasso Museum at Antibes.

Anyway that aside lovely little ice cream shop in a lovely little side street, very yummy and wouldn't hesitate to go back

Eglise Notre Dame de Vie

Reviewed By Albatros747 - Southsea

Very difficult to find. Very little publicity made around this little chapel dating from the 17th century, painted by Churchill, visited by Picasso who lived nearby for 12 years. Unfortunately it is not open to the public.
