Offering the highest quality in Fine dining within the local area. Recommended in the Michelin guide. We serve all styles of menu including Tasting Menus, A la Carte and Set Lunch and Sunday Lunch menus.
We went with a wowcher voucher for the tasting menu and were fairly disappointed given the reputation. The portions were oversized and not well balanced. I would say it was average overall, with the service definitely lacking. The food was nice, but not up to...MoreThanks for the review.. considering we haven't done an offer with wowcher for 2 years I'll treat it with the deserved contempt.

We have a beautiful outdoor space at the front of the property and our Terrace area which is perfect for parties, conferences and weddings. We have a fabulous brigade of staff both front and back of house, who really give 100% to make Il Rosso a stylish, comfortable and vibrant place to visit. Most of all we have wonderful customers who make us what we are.
Just the two of us for a meal this evening to celebrate my husbands birthday. The resturant was busy but the service, as usual, was seamless. We had the three course meal with drinks and coffees and the whole thing was brilliant. Best food by...MoreBLUSH blush blushing.......................... wow thank you so much. Italian & British (carvery)
We were greeted by friendly staff as we walked through the door and then shown to our seat. The Seating was well spaced and the atmosphere was calm, relaxing and romantic they had got it just right this evening. I do eat out fairly regularly and it is rarely that the service is perfect, tonight it was. The timing on each course was perfect, we didn't have to wait too long but at the same time didn't feel rushed.
The food was excellent between us we had the soup to start and for main I had the pan fried chicken and my partner had the risotto and finally we had the selection of Deserts. All of the food was spot on we could not fault any of it.
Compliments to the kitchen staff and a big thank you to Katie our waitress for making this a very special evening

Visited last weekend with a party out to celebrate a friends Birthday. Pleasant surroundings and a plenty of space for a large group 8+. When the food came it was well cooked and tasty and a good sized portion. Starters were also more than adequate. None of our party had dessert,
It's a small dining area and it can get quite loud when full, otherwise a great night was had at good prices.

Out in the country but near the towns. Good wholesome freshly cooked food. We regularly have theme nights to give a little variety to the normal disco evenings.
Always go here for New Years Eve and this year was slightly disappointing. The entertainment was not good for a New Years Eve party. Michael Buble act isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. I like Buble but this guy wasn’t good. The food as always was superb but the service wasn’t this year. Sorry to say this but your standards are good and this time they weren’t as good as normal. Shall always return as no one can get it right every time, but please work on some of the waiters/waitresses needs looking into.

I went in to try the new menu & thought it was lovely, I had the Salmon as a main course which was the best salmon I've had in ages very very nice, was a tough choice in Deserts but opted for the Chocolate Brownie which proved a very good choice it was amazing! Can't wait to go back and try out something else from the new menu (or maybe same meal lol)

Modern fine dining restaurant located in a traditional Public House
Visited her for a friends birthday last night and had a wonderful night from start to finish. Excellent food, drinks, service and time.
The menu had just changed however there was a delay in sending it out to us so when our party of 10 arrived we found two bottles of complimentary wine in our table, nice touch Redgate.
Every single dish whether it was a starter, main or desert was served within a reasonable amount of time and was exceptionally well presented, the flavours were amazing. I had the special beef strips in a garlic, cream and Stilton sauce. It was the best meal I had eaten in years. Served with rice and chips it really was a satisfying meal.
The desert we chose was Lemon meringue, not a lot but it was extremely flavoursome.
I hung around after the meal and joined in the weekly bingo ( which I won) and quiz.
The bingo teller really drags out the word hearts which tickled us..
What a great Pub the Red Gate is, far better than any chain pub and very reasonably priced too.
Go, on try it, you won’t regret it!!!

Each time we visit the U.K. from overseas we go to Casey's. The staff are pleasant, the food hot, tasty, and abundant, and the price is great value for money.
My mother is in an electric wheelchair and Casey's is accessible.
The full English breakfast is to die for. The salad topped with chicken was superb.
They can and do get busy, so there may be a wait, but it is worth it!
