Amazing.
Such a warm atmosphere with fantastic service.
I've dined at many excellent restaurants, but this one is truly special. It has been added to my personal list of favorite restaurants in the world, and I'm already looking forward to return for a special occasion!
The food is superb.
The veal sweetbreads are, literally, the best sweetbreads I’ve had in my life (and, yes, I had my share of Michelin starred sweetbreads). The souffle was killer too. I've had worse food at 3 Michelin star restaurants, just for comparison.
In my opinion, you really can't go wrong dining here - except, maybe, that it is more expensive than your regular 1 Michelin star restaurant.
Masterchef Wolfgang Puck said “I’ve been to many hotel restaurants in my life. One of the best meals was at La Reserve up in Beaulieu and it was amazing — it’s in the south of France. You sit on a harbor outside and they have a Terrace and you see the boats go by and everything and the whole setting is amazing. And, on top of it, I used to work there like 40 years ago.”
I couldn’t agree more. I would fly to Nice just to eat here.

Tried this restaurant on our last day holiday, pity, it was very good..mainly outside eating in the back streets away from the port, this place was humming on a Sunday night..good specials on a blackboard, reasonable wine list, good service and nice atmosphere..the hit dish was the scallops risotto..

Although we did not have a reservation, we were warmly greeted and given an outdoor table with a view to the sea. The food was delicious and elegantly served. The chef knows how to prepare fish, tender and not overcooked. The crepes Suzette were classically prepared at the table and so tasty, not too sweet. This was my favourite meal during my entire stay in Villefranche.

Visited with friends and it was sooo good.
Starters: loved the escargot starter, literally escargots swimming in a creamy delicious broth with dipping bread. The nems with chèvre were exactly what one should expect, but the side salad that came with was unexpectedly gorgeous.
My main was a fish dish, which was just right, but all the little accompaniments were show stealers. I loved the little bowl of spiced rice (I think it was rice).
The Panama cotta sampler for dessert was unique and delicious.
Just wish I had had time to go again!

Popular with Brits, this restaurant serves up very decent traditional cuisine plus pizzas. In fact, it's stuck in a bit of a 1970s time warp with duck a l'orange, prawn provencale etc. We ate in as it was slightly chilly at 8pm - interior decor is somewhat ragrolled but relaxing enough. That said, it's all done very well, the team of ladies serve efficiently and with good humour. Prices are average for this fairly pricey town.

The restaurant was very busy and we were a group of 8 + a one year old. For the first 30-40 minutes the service was abysmal probably due to the fact that the restaurant was very busy and there were only two waiters.
After one waiter finally started serving the table what ensued was some truly excellent food. I had the escargots and the mixed seafood plate. Everyone’s meal was excellent and even the kids menu was very good. The ham was delicious.
Although the waiter initially ignored our table, when he started serving us, he was very pleasant with excellent English.
Spring for a third or fourth server Trastevere and get the fifth star your excellent Food deeply deserves!

We ate dinner here 3 times during our week stay. The pizza selection is outstanding and delicious. Daily dinner specials were reasonably priced, delicious and filling. This quaint, charming place is not on the water, but has plenty of ambiance.Lots of locals, which tells you something about getting a good meal at a good price.

Cheap and cheerful- but as good as it gets. Waiters are charming and welcoming.
Pizza is heaven; amazingly thin and light, perfectly texture base. Generous portions, and great value. The pasta dishes and moules frites looked great. Food is simple, unpretentious and fresh. Definitely a great choice for families with children.

Stopped here for lunch on. Hot sunny day in September. It's a shady restaurant with tables outside on the steps leading up to the church. Great service (one lady running around all lunchtime - efficient but friendly). Food was first class and very reasonable. We would certainly return to this restaurant!!
