I came here to go diving, not with the big ferry but with a charter boat, first time I brought divers here and everyone loved it, awesome visibility and a huge amount of healthy, colorful hard corals and plenty of fish, we had a surface interval on Island and since it is march it look pretty deserted, which I liked but unfortunately there was lots of drifting trash on the beach but I'm sure it will be cleaned before the season starts.

Funny dolphin show, pay attention to the time of each event, so as not to miss the time to watch.
At noon morning, noon aquarium to see manatees, turtles, dolphins, afternoon to visit the aquarium staff.
This visit is very good, let the children know the impact of marine biodiversity and trash on the ocean.

I visited the ocean park and aquarium on a bus tour around Okinawa and fortunately it was a sunny day and we had time to wander a bit. There is plenty to see. The ocean view is very nice. There is food available at some restaurants. Also, the aquarium is a must-see.

Hired bikes and rode around Bise for a day. This included going up and down the Bise Fukugi Tree Road a couple of times. Nice and relaxed experience and if you are looking for a enjoyable walk or bike ride then this is recommended, especially on hot days when the trees offer shade from the hot sun..

My family visited Emerald Beach in late July and there's no other word to describe this beach, other than terrible. After looking at photos and Reading up about the Beaches on Okinawa Honto, we decided to visit this beach. There is ample free covered parking at lot P9, free showering facilities, and a beach rental shop, and snack bar which make this beach an attractive choice, The photos we saw online of the beach were beautiful.
However, when we went there the water was very murky and littered with tons of floating sea grass. There is a lot of sand on the beach but as you approach the water there are lots of broken pieces of coral that make walking on the beach painful in bare feet. We noticed that there were many people wearing sand shoes and slippers into the water. We must have gone during low tide because the water was only waist deep. Also, much to our surprise, there was absolutely no wave action. The beach was as calm as a Freshwater pond.
I would definitely not recommend this beach for swimming. It may be better during different times of the year but it was certainly terrible during our visit in July 2017.

The big plus for this island is it is easy to drive to by car and not have a ferry schedule or cost to worry about. It's nice to be able to relax on an island with white, sandy Beaches and plenty of Sunshine without having the traffic and noises associated with main island life. It is a fairly large island to walk around so, car or bicycle are recommended. Depending how far off the beaten path one wants to go, shoes may be required. It is a great place for photography either, sunrise, or sunsets. The island's residents are friendly and helpful in giving directions. Beachgoers and explorers will enjoy spending a sunny day on this island.

It's painful to walk in the water if you don't wear shoes, which are available for rent at the beach. The water was very shallow (below waist level) but extremely clear. It's best for observing life sea creatures. We saw a bunch of sea cucumbers, fishes and corals.
