A traditional country pub with flag stone floors and log fire, serving locally sourced food . The pub has its own garden which produces fresh vegetables and herbs all year round. Four real ales are available as well as an extensive wine list.
My partner and I had a fantastic lunch at this superb picturesque pub in Freshwater , I had the lamb shoulder shepherds pie which was amazing and my other half had the pork belly , also fantastic, the staff are lovely and attentive, very friendly and the pub has a real cosy comfortable feel ....it’s a must on any visit to Freshwater.

We've stopped here over the last 10 years and the drink and food has always been good and at a fair price. It is a locals pub so do expect quizzes and the occasional local with a penetrating voice but it doesn't detract too much as the area is large enough for all. The menu isn't hugely extensive but there is something for everyone and kids meals and always some specials. The portions are generous and tasty.

Captains Cabin has everything you would want from a beach cafe and more!
Great tea & coffee, very good menu, friendly efficient staff and perfect views of Colwell Bay. We visited 4 times during our recent weeks holiday with our four grandchildren, on each occasion the food was freshly prepared, the service excellent and the prices very reasonable. Highly recommended!

We visited twice during this holiday, the decor is a little different however the service was very good, the food was extremely good and then to top it all the cost was very agreeable. The only point is you have to take your own alcohol if you drink but there is no corkage charge, all in all a very good value resturant to visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by the dandelion cafe.
The service was really quick, despite it being busy. The views across the bay are amazing. The food presentation is excellent. The only fault I can think of is that they have the horrible little sachets of condiments. Bottles or dishes would be much more in keeping with the rest of the beautiful presentation of table cloths etc.
I will definitely go again.

Fish and chip shop.
The service was friendly and efficient.
The fish was cooked well and very tasty. The chips were greasy and a little disappointing, with an average portion size. The curry sauce tasted nice, but was only warm.
Based on the other reviews we clearly did not get them at their best.

My husband and I had lunch here, it's a beautiful spot overlooking the Solent, very trendy place with lovely staff, we were going out for family meal that night so asked if it was ok to have 6 oysters and a couple of starters and we were highly delighted with our choices! The oysters were plump and juicy, I had marinated octopus salad n hubby had crab tian, all high class quality! Highly recommend

After operating Farmhouse Cream Teas from our home for sixteen years at Warren Farm, we have now moved a short distance across the farmyard to a converted barn, where we have opened a farm shop. There is a coffee shop with refreshments, hot & cold drinks and homemade & local produce, amd we will still be serving our famous cresm teas! Opening times will be Thursday to Sunday and daily during school holidays and Tuesday to Sunday during school holidays. We look forward to welcoming you to Warren Farm.
Saw the sign for the tearoom when visiting the needles. Short walk on easy to follow path. Really peaceful setting. They have made a real effort to create a pleasant place for tea and cake - miniature table and seats for the little ones and cover for inclement weather. Watch out for the dwarf bad tempered goat - think it was Liam.

We had coffee and cake on our holiday visit to Yarmouth at Butterflies cafe.
I chose caramel and coffee cake and was assured by the lady serving me was definitely GLUTEN FREE, and it was labelled as gluten free too.
However less than an hour later I was dealing with all the awful symptoms of eating gluten. This cake made me so ill for many hours, being so sick I have hurt my ribs.
It is so unacceptable that places that serve food and offer gluten free products, but which are actually not as coeliacs rely on honesty.
How gluten reacts in a coeliac is so painful and so unnecessary.
I know cross contamination happens but bring coeliac is hard enough but you have to put your faith in cafes and restaurants.

The Piano Cafe and Mezze at Freshwater Bay, Isle of Wight. Serving quality coffee, specialty tea, home made cakes, artisan mezze boards and wine/beer. We have an outside Seating area at the front which is great for dog walkers, or just watching the world go by. Live music is often played on the evenings we are open. Opening times are seasonal, please call or check our website for more info.
Interesting building with history (check out the menu) , decent but not huge selection of appetising food and good selection of teas and coffee. Would have scored higher if only they could learn to use hot milk for the coffee.Staff were very pleasant though.
