Rather noisy as a birthday party going on. Our waitress did not have much idea about things on the menu. Would not recommend as a good dining experience.

Motel Restaurant
I was staying here overnight for business and decided to dine in and I'm very glad I did. The food was very tasty and service was great. I had oysters and garlic prawns which weer both beautifully cooked. The waiters couldn't have been nicer they kept everything in the humming in the busy dining room.

We visited this Irish Pub for a snack and Guinness. From the moment you walked in the door you were acknowledged by a staff member, and the decor screamed IRISH. The service was great, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The Guinness was very good. I would recommend this hotel as a great place to visit.

My husband and I were just in Emerald for the night, and were looking for somewhere to have a relaxing dinner. Emerald Explorers Inn Restaurant exceeded all of our expectations!
We arrived before the kitchen opened, but the manager invited us to sit at the bar and have a drink for half an hour until the kitchen opened. Great range of beverages available, and the managers were very friendly and we had a great chat.
The food was top notch, salad and all food was super fresh. Highly recommend the damper, which is a bit different to your traditional garlic bread. Would have loved to try the desserts but just couldn't fit it in!
Exceptional service, staff friendly and attentive without being pushy, food very very good. Would definite return if we were in Emerald again, and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area looking for somewhere to eat.

Theo's obviously has a large local clientele judging by the steady stream of high-viz shirts picking up their morning cuppa. Coffee was OK and my breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Service is snappy and jolly. A good option for an early morning good value brekky.Thank you, yes we are a very busy little cafe with lots of regulars and we love what we do. Hope to see you again thank you for your review.

Our previous experience for dinner here a few years ago was not a good one, but based on recent reviews (and a lack of alternatives in Emerald!) we decide to give it another try...and were glad we did.
Service is prompt and efficient and the atmosphere pleasant enough. While the cooking could hardly be described as outstanding, our meals (a pappardelle ragu and a salmon) were tasty enough; although the sauce with the salmon was rather overwhelming. The best dish was a simple tin of Italian sardines serviced with toast and a rocket salad...delicious and worth visiting again for!!

I went with my friends from school for the Tapa hours from 4-6pm for a baby shower. We put in money together to enjoy all the nice food. The golden sweet potatoes were the best, & other nibbles. The food was made pretty quickly. I...MoreThank you for coming along Rosemarie583. I am so pleased you enjoyed it. Yes our Tapas is growing with the music every week and a lot of fun. The third Generation of ABC Chinese has established by in the year 2005 with the motive to offer authentic Chinese food to the Emerald community, becoming the new owners of the local ‘ABC Chinese Restaurant’. The ABC Chinese restaurant has been in Emerald for over 40 years and has since evolved in its third ownership to become one of the more popular hospitality businesses in Emerald. The restaurant is conveniently located at Anakie Street, in the centre of town, providing a variety of Australia Asian meals either by take away, dine-in or functions. Meals offered include DimSim, noodles, sweet & sour pork, and fried rice to name a few. Open hours are from 11:00am- 14:00pmTues to Sunday and 5:00pm to 9:30pm Monday to Sunday, and the restaurant is fully licensed. The business vision is “to sell amazing and outstanding Asian food and beverages to the local community, consistently providing a friendly, professional and efficient service. All staff take great pride in having a wide knowle
We were happy to return to this restaurant for another meal and we weren't disappointed. The service was cordial and the meals were delivered in the normal timeframe. The meals were quite large and were tasty however a little pricey. The décor was tastefully done. Overall a good night out.

Yes, I'm a big city coffee snob. But when travelling in regional places I am more than happy to expect something less that Seven Seeds. I had had no great expectations of Emerald. And generally this lower expectation has been met, but sometimes not met, and rarely exceeded. Staying at the Emerald Executive Apartments, which is in fact located in a shopping mall car park, I did not expect the best coffee in town to come from a shop located in the mall. But the strangely named, Luv-a-Coffee, was a pleasant surprise. Opened from 7am every day it has, as far as I can tell, having now tasted coffee from just about every place in town, makes the best coffee in town. I also ordered poached eggs on toast, which came perfectly cooked on Turkish bread, crisply toasted. Simple, but perfect eggs, trump everything! So, forget the main street cafes, and head to the mall for Emerald's best coffee -- and breakfast!
