Stow-on-the-Wold is a small market town and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England. It is situated on top of an 800 ft (244 m) hill, at the convergence of a number of major roads through the Cotswolds, including the Fosse Way (A429). The town was founded as a planned market place by Norman lords to take advantage of trade on the converging roads. Fairs have been held by royal charter since 1330 and an annual horse fair is still held on the edge of the town.

This is a sweet little church. The architecture, atmosphere, and dealing of the current activity really nice. I love spending time in this little building and the surrounding yard. The side door with trees framing it was straight out of a storybook. I kept expecting to see Merlyn at any moment!

This gallery always had something worth seeing, and buying if you can afford to!
The people who run it always make me feel welcome, even though I've not yet bought anything from there.
The art is displayed well, it's light and airy inside, and right by the carpark so access is easy.

We are a small, long established, independent bookshop with a large selection of books for gifts, local history, childrens, cookery, and the latest titles in hardback and paperback. We also have a selection of greetings cards, calendars and diaries. Our staff are happy to recommend books and help you find that tricky present. Brock, the friendly shop dog, has his own following!
sod amazon..... for personal, efficient, and speedy service go to the Borzoi. Never let me down. If its a book i want ordered or just "want a book " they always make great suggestions and i usually buy something, but feel under no obligation to do so. When i was really poorly i just went in and mooched and sat. Always felt better after. Its quite compact and bijou but they still manage to host Literary evenings !!

This place is full of beautiful old Cotswold stone buildings. The shops look old fashioned which ads to the charm. There are small gift shops, bakeries and cafes, along with pubs and other places selling all kinds of wares. Great place to visit.

We had a wonderful couple of hours with our son, two grandsons and daughter in law on a rainy day. The marvellous collections of vehicles amazed us all. My favourites were the racing cars from all eras, a very well looked after collection which we enjoyed very much.

We dropped in on a sunny March Monday for a tea and cake break on a 13 mile Cotswold circular walk. Spacious and well designed treasury of books to browse whilst savouring great coffee, tea and scrummy cake served with a smile.

The word eclectic was invented for places like this. Sprawling over three floors the numerous galleries contain a mix of all sorts of antiques. There’s something for all tastes. Well worth a visit for half an hour or so. There’s a coffee shop inside. Parking may be possible on the road outside. Impossible in a wheelchair and tricky with a push chair and toddlers. They do not take credit cards so it’s cash or a debit card. Helpful staff at hand.

Art gallery specializing in Fine Art and Documentary Photography from around the world.
We called in when passing through Stow. Lovely well presented images, many of which were monochrome which we are attracted to. There's something here for most walls so definitely worth visiting to support this talented independent photographer when in the Stow area.Dear Mike, A quick note of thanks for the kind comments and for visiting the gallery. Please drop in again next time you're in Stow. Kind Regards Peter

A nice shop with some really nice items. It's quite a small shop so the stock is a little limited but what they have is nice. Some items are quite expensive and some a little ore affordable so it caters for a range of shoppers.
Opening times seem a little limited though - it was one of the only shops in town not open on a Sunday morning and we also noticed that it closed early on another occasion when we tried to visit.
