This garden is worth the walk through and/or around the town. The views from Castello di Venere are amazing, and the overall walk around is beautiful. Definitely can see why this hill-top town is popular among tourists. Take some time to sit and enjoy the views, maybe catch a sunset if you can!

This is a very beautiful tower, and Duomo which has beautiful lines and stonework, however it's not something that's going to be remembered by the average tourist long after you exit the Erice. Like most of the sites in the town, they aren't that interesting were beautiful, but the whole town is what's interesting. You go for the town not for the specific sites.

The entry fee for this site was 4 Euros and it was sunny and hot when we visited.
What you find at this site are the castle ruins of a 12th century Norman fortress built over the ancient Temple set at the very top of Mount Erice at 2460 feet over sea level.
The courtyard interior (only part open to visit) is filled with ruin foundations and impressive stone walls allegedly built by Daedalus. But stealing the show are the spectaucular 360 degrees panoramic views over the surrounding landscape of Trapani and surroundings on one side and the peninsula leading to San Vito Lo Capo on the other.

The cable Car linking the city of Trapani to the medieval village of Erice Capital through their respective terminals, along a 3099-meters slant height, on the same path as the old cable Car that was operated between the 1950s and the 1970s. The plant is equipped with night lighting to be operated in the dark as well as with special cabins for people with disabilities and for bikes. Tour View with no stop boarding, 42 cabins for 8 people each and 12 minutes drive. Two Automatic Parking Areas with cameras at the exclusive service for the users of the cable car FOR ONLY € 1,50 FOR FIRST THREE HOURS. ATTENTION TO THE UNAUTHORIZED PARKING MEN ASK UNTIL € 5/€ 10 FOR CAR.
The cable car is a great way to get to Erice. There's plenty of parking at the base station and it takes around 15 minutes to reach Erice. Cost was 9€ per person return and was not busy. Lovely views!

The marzipan shop was interesting and intriguing, especially the lecture that we got in the shop about the making of marzipan. I especially enjoyed putting my head out the window of the upstairs lecture room which allowed me to enjoy the view of the alleyway on which the shop is located with its festive mood of happy tourists passing by. The shop itself was pretty enough, and if you like marzipan, which unfortunately we don’t, but from the samples that they passed out to all the participants and which we did try, I am sure that the marzipan would be considered world class marzipan. All in all, it was interesting, but certainly not exciting!

This church is also known as Matrice church and has another listing on TA. The inside is much less interesting than the outside and as such I would not recommend paying to see unless you generally like to see any church.

A very standard church. It actually looks older than it is dating to 1700s only. The inside is more interesting with predominant white color and nice decorations, but still not sure if it is worth paying and checking out.

This is one of the many churches in Erice that vie for attention. The interior is bright with ceiling paintings and interesting art. Certainly, this church should not be missed during a trip to Erice. The church benefited from the Congregation of Purgatory, begun by Padre Vincenzo d'Alcamo, a Capuchin monk, in 1517. The theme of Purgatory is seen in many of the works of art in the church.

For us, the looped video explaining the more than 2000 year history of the Erice region was the most interesting part of this museum. While we acknowledge the importance of the coins, amulets and other ancient relics on display, they are not well presented and tend not to hold one's interest.

The Pepoli Tower of Erice was constructed by Count Agostino Pepoli in the late nineteenth century as a gathering place for men of art, music and culture. In recent times it has been restored and houses a museum dedicated to the history and culture of Erice. The Tower is visible from the pathways above it, from which wonderful photos can be taken. It is a very spectacular site perched as it is on the edge of the rocks of the Monte. It is a fairly steep walk to reach it there and back from the centre of town but is worth the effort. Visitors can climb the tower and appreciate views from there.
