The light lunch we had was served quickly and was delicious. We were told about the typically local dishes and ingredients in this tiny hidden gem of a restaurant.

You can find 'Pizzeria Pulecenella' in Salerno 500 mt away from PONTECAGNANO exit of the local highway. (10 Min away from the center of Salerno). Small and spartan place. Here you can find a very light and tasty italian Pizza. Great quality of ingredients and kindness of owners.
We found this gem on our travels from Sorento to Calabria. It's not far off the A3. It's a small place and at 1:30 in the afternoon nine out of the ten tables were full with the locals. The manager was very friendly and spoke...MoreThanks for your review. We're glad you enjoyed our pizza! Hope to see you soon again!

This is a gem hidden in a small town. We stopped in Salerno for a day before heading to Amalfi Coast. After Reading about his place on tripadvisor we decided to visit. We were staying in Novotel hotel and we walked to this place (about 15-20 min walk). The food was AMAZING!!! and they gave us free dessert :) We ordered a pasta dish and a pizza, and both were great. Good quantity and fresh food. The presentation of the food is very modern and competes with any top restaurants. The environment is really good and the service was impeccable. They do have one english menu, so ask for it to help you decide what you want to eat. A must visit if you are in the area.

We went here randomly. We follow the chef recommendation to take the 7 kinds shared anti pasti, then pasta then grilled fish. It was one of my best diner in Italy.
The chef came to explain us each dish in English. Wine and water are cheap. You can ask them to put peach in the wine for better taste.
Finally we paid 48E for 2, and we were full at the end. Think to book ahead since it s a quite popular restaurant. Highly Recommended

We went here as all the other restaurants in Salerno did mainly fish, had a wonderful 2 course meal for two with wine for 55 euro, which included a 7 euro tip. Great food served by waiters with limited englishnlanguage skills, but who went out of their way to make our evening very enjoyable.

Our historic Delicatessen was founded in Salerno by the Conte family in 1919. We specialise in the highest-quality, local and regional delicacies, with particular emphasis on Slow-Food and Organic products. We have a wide range of local wines from small-scale producers, which offer excellent value for money, as well as some of our favourite regional and national wines. Our range changes each month and according to the seasons. We sell local pickles and preserves, as well as vegetables, locally produced honey and artisan conserves. Our mozzarella is delivered to us fresh every day and is among the best on the market. We also sell Baccala - fillets of dried Icelandic cod and a true Italian delicacy. This is available for you to prepare at home, or ready cooked from our deli counter. You can also try our full range of cheeses and meats in our special tasting room, with its vintage 1950s Berkel slicing machine. Your choice of delicacies from our counter can be paired with a glass of wine or one of our local artisan beers, all of which we'd be delighted to advise you on, and all of our wines are available by the glass. In order to offer the level of service we pride ourselves on, we welcome bookings. We aren't organised like a traditional restaurant - it's up to you what you choose from the deli - and of course we're always happy to advise on particular products. Wine or beer can be chosen from our display - the price is the same whether you take it away with you or drink it on the premises
It's very easy to miss at the far end of a busy street. But do search!
The staff is very friendly and prompt. The waiter spoke good English and the ambience is wonderful.
I had the potatoes and baby narrow which is typical of the area and super delicious and the platter of cold meats and cheese which were as equally tasty.
This place was really affordable and worth the visit. And the service is good

Dropped by for a couple of lunchtime pizzas - and were quickly impressed, both by the popularity of the place and the range of great pizzas available We opted for the Mediterranea pizza with tuna and the margarita with fresh tomatoes, washed down with a very reasonably priced bottle of house white. The extremely hot chili oil went down well with us. Friendly staff and local customers too.

We brought two of our friends here to eat at lunchtime. One of our friends is a local, (a Montella man). The antipasti is seemingly mandatory!! Loads of quality produce from the Cilento, both hot and cold. Prosciutto and cheeses get a special mention, but...MoreGrazie per averci scelto.è sempre un piacere soddisfare il cliente

Service was very friendly, very nice wine and very good fish dishes. It was right near where we stayed and we tried to go once before, but we were too early. Glad we tried again

The pasta was exceptional. Presentations were artful and full of flavor. I had the salmon in yogurt with a wonderful mix of fresh greens. Everything was truly special. Prices were what you would expect for food of this caliber. We had 2 pastas, 2 fish courses and mineral water for 50 euro.
