Edgware (/ˈɛdʒwɛər/) is a district of northern Greater London, in the London Borough of Barnet. Edgware is centred 9.5 miles (15.3 km) north-northwest of Charing Cross and has its own commercial centre. Edgware has a generally suburban character, typical of the rural-urban fringe. It was an ancient parish in the county of Middlesex. The community benefits from some elevated woodland on a high ridge marking the Hertfordshire border of gravel and sand. Edgware is identified in the London Plan as one of the capital's 35 major centres. Edgware is principally a shopping and residential area and one of the northern termini of the Northern line. It has a bus garage, a shopping centre called the Broadwalk, a library, a hospital—Edgware Community Hospital, and two streams—Edgware Brook and Deans Brook, both tributaries of a small brook known as Silk Stream, which in turn merges with the River Brent at Brent Reservoir.

Bentley Priory Museum, previously RAF Headquarters Fighter Command, is a site of national historical importance and from where the Battle of Britain was won. We are a small private charitable trust ensuring that the legacy of 'The One, The Few and The Many' is not lost; but appreciated, celebrated and commemorated for many years to come. Throughout the year we welcome individuals, groups, schools and corporate organisations to come and explore the splendour of this amazing Sir John Soane extended property, which has hints of Italian grandeur and where many Second World War and Cold War secrets were hidden within.
We’ve lived in Stanmore for thirty years and grew up looking through the fence at Bentley priory mansion so visiting it was great. The building is magnificent with ornate wooden staircases and spectacular stained glass windows. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and gave us an information sheets and map to help us find our way around. Our five year old enjoyed learning about the role of the spitfires and hurricanes aircraft. The museum is very interactive with vintage telephones to listen to conversations of times gone by. The ballroom has a small cockpit plane for the kids to explore complete with helmet and jacket. We loved learning about the role Bentley priory played during the war. The video we watched was very informative and interactive. The grounds look amazing, we look forward to exploring them in the warmer months. We enjoyed a hot cup of tea in the beautiful cafe which over looks the Gardens. I would recommend buying the yearly membership if you’re planning on more than one visit. Great day out and very educational.

One of the better newer stadiums in football. The one thing that could improve Barnet FCs home is more local support. On a blustery autumn day the home fans were out numbered in their own ground by Cambridge fans. Which didn't stop them taking all the points but.
Staff were friendly and non officious. Food queues were under control, toilet facilities clean and stocked. Nice view from top of away end (including Wembley Stadium) no pillars so all sight lines good.

Located in the heart of Edgware town centre, The Broadwalk Centre is well established with easily accessible public transport links. The centre has 1,100 car park spaces for long and short stays, and has over 40 retailers including Dorothy Perkins, New Look, WHSmiths, Costa Coffee and numerous phone shops. The Broadwalk Centre continues to be the main shopping destination in Edgware offering local value, convenience and choice, shopping experience for the immediate catchment.
Not a particularly large shopping centre, particularly when people only have to a handful of stops on the tube to go to Brent Cross. It was originally to be built with a cinema, after the old ABC was closed but this was lost along the way.

In the Hertfordshire countryside just north of London, Bhaktivedanta Manor, complete with its farmlands, beautiful Gardens and temple is a real sanctuary for the soul. Open all year round to visitors and students of ancient wisdom, the temple offers a great experience with tours of the shrine, Gardens and compassionate farm. See the rooms of the famous Hare Krishna guru Srila Prabhupada, to whom George Harrison gifted this iconic mock Tudor mansion. Visitors may participate in inspirational talks, yoga classes, mantra meditation, vegetarian cooking classes and various retreats.

Excellent comfy helicopter, everyone gets a view of some sorts. Ask in advance to get the pilot seat!!
Very short flight, along the river, could easily have stayed up a lot longer. Good value when bought through a voucher site!

This is a beautiful mandir that came a bit as a surprise when your driving on Ealing Road. Very nice carvings on the outside. Nice statues inside. Parking next to the mandir was 2GBP per hour.

Very exciting football match Spurs V Southampton on 26 Dec 2017 in Wembley Stadium!!!!!! My little boy loves it so much! The crowd was managed well with quiet manner and very systematic. Everyone behaved politely and walked back to mrt peacefully after the football match. Feeling good!

Canons Park is a large green park with many entrances. The park is surrounded by very fast roads so do keep that in mind. The park has a play area that is suitable for older children- it has really high climbing frames.
There are nice Gardens within the park. A lovely place for a sunny day.

Decided to try the Stanmore Country Park but disappointed as the car park was closed and couldn't find any car parking on the roads around the park. Sign stated due to cuts there was no one available to lock and unlock the gate. Hopefully this is only for the winter. Drove to Aldenham Country Park instead.
