Will never be returning. Had a horrible meal lamb shish was tough and full of muscle. I’ve been to many Turkish restaurants over the years this is possibly one of the worst.

Food’s OK. Service is generally OK but the order takers/cashiers could be more professional as it can be quite informal/too cool for school side. I know it’s an informal place, but you’ve still gotta put the customer first and cut out the quips.

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so on this occasion.
I was completely overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness shown to my elderly Dad yesterday when I accompanied him here for his birthday. A place that he regularly has frequented in the past with my Mum he chose to go here as it wasn’t too far from home. Mum was unwell and unable to join us so was strange just the two of us for once.
Having booked and informed the restaurant that it was his birthday he asked if it was possible to have something off the Tuesday menu despite it being a Monday. It was his favourite and just unfortunate he said that his birthday fell on a Monday this year! They informed him that this would be no trouble at all.
On arriving he was greeted with a Happy Birthday and the young girls serving were attentive and welcoming to both of us.
The food was delicious and despite a fabulous main course which more than filled us we decided to finish off with a coffee and desert. Dads desert was dressed with a Happy Birthday message a candle and was sung to by both waitresses. He was duly surprised but not as much as I was when he was told that the meal was on the house. Both of ours! He was a regular customer they said and their treat.
The desert and coffee or perhaps Dads meal but to offer the whole meal as complementary was truly a generous gesture and not only made Dads but my day also. Can’t begin to explain how lovely it was to see my Dad spoilt like that. Will be returning again with both parents before too long on their regular Tuesday spot. Thank you to all the staff for fabulous food and service that really went beyond either of our expectations.

Some regulars will come to B&K weekly, some will come to B&K monthly, some will come to B&K lunchtime and lots will come in the evening. Some will eat in and many more will take away. This place is for everyone because it has everyone’s favourite food that they will have enjoyed since early childhood. Dishes like Salt Beef, Latkas, Chopped Liver, cucumbers, and probably the best fish balls. Their bean & barley soup is sensational. Always smiling and very efficient the staff work at a furious pace. B&K is always a pleasure

Not exactly a regular but been here enought times to know what’s on offer which is usually a good all-round experience. On arrival for an early lunch, greeted by half the bar area covered in dust sheets. Assumed they’d had work done this morning and were just finishing off before we all packed in for what turned out to be a busy Friday lunctime.
But no.
We all sat and ate while workmen drilled and hammered, taking out a fireplace and putting in a woodburning stove apparently. Appalling noise! Unbelievable! No sign up to apologise for the inconvenience, and we were all expected to carry on enjoying the experience as it nothing was happening.
It did stop for a while... when the two workmen went off for their lunch break. You couldn’t make it up!

Went with friends for a pre Xmas meal and absolutely delicious, fresh and piping hot. I had the garlic pizza bread to start to share. Then veal Milanese with pasta and my friends had the risotto and the calves liver. Really friendly happy staff and lovely sized portions.

Two of us went for lunch here prior to attending a recording of Strictly. We had the two course lunch menu and the food was fresh, served quickly and totally delicious. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Perfect venue if you want value for money and/or on a tight timetable.

This place lived up to the reviews. Nice cosy atmosphere inside. Friendly staff and the food was amazing. Really struggled to make a choice, it all sounded so good and all of the dishes were superbly presented and delicious. Already lining up my next main course.

Because we have enjoyed the Mops & Brooms on many previous occasions, I might have brushed off this poor experience as just a rare off-day had it not been for the manager’s combative attitude. At lunchtime, pub restaurants can usually be relied upon to provide...MoreDear MrAndrewHaynes I do apologise about your disappointing visit here with us.
