Bar Bodega is the perfect haven for every over-25 who just can't find a decent bar. Our feel is 1920's speakeasy meets jazz club with heavy drapes and deep leather sofas to offer a welcome that's akin to a long hot bath after a rough day. Discover a rare find of mature drinkers and enjoy chilled-out evenings of table service and conversation against a background of cool nu-jazz - played at just the right volume. Come in, relax and choose a bottle from the extensive wine list or select a specialty beer, and you'll find it's midnight before you know it. We very much hope to see you soon. Cheers!
I used to love a bodegas Sunday roast, however, disappointingly this year brought with it a new chef and standards Have significantly dropped. Beef was over cooked, Yorkshire was doughy and chewy, cauliflower cheese just tasted like cauliflower in a white sauce, gravy was granules...MoreHi Joanna Thank you for your feedback. We went in December for family birthday party. The staff, despite being busy with a packed restaurant, were very attentive and looked after us very well. The food was excellent. Served on time, hot and fresh and incredibly tasty. We loved it. The restaurant has...MoreDear Richard Thank you for your excellent review. Hands down, the best restaurant in Watford. Delicious food, great prices and fantastic service. Dont bother going to the other well known Italian restaurants. It is very authentic and the prices and portions are spot on! It can be very noisy inside when its busy, but if the weather is right, sit outside and enjoy the food! Its also a great place to go for dessert. All the dessert are the same price and the tiramisu is outstanding!

Booked a table for 12 for a birthday celebration - very enjoyable evening with good and plentiful fayre ( great fish and chips!), very reasonable wine menu and excellent, friendly service from all the staff. Many thanks, Sophie!

Indian Sizzler we pride ourselves on exquisite food, professional and efficient service. We have just past our 5th Birthday and have become ever so popular with the locals as well as those visiting from afar. Our dining room boasts a large capacity, possibly the biggest Indian Restaurant in Hertfordshire. We have won many awards such as 'The best Indian Establishment in the South & Overall in the UK' by the Food Awards England 2015 & being awarded the 'Certificate of Excellence' awarded by the president of TripAdvisor in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015. Others include Watford Observer's #1 Eatery. Our atmosphere has been designed to put the customers at ease, pine wood tables, cutting edge water features all down to the quality of the napkins. We have spared no expense with the Sizzler and you will see just that. Our menu is of a modern age and changes very often, we experiment and push the boundaries of Indian Cuisine. Not forgetting what put Indian Cuisine on the map, you can be assured to find a lip licking Bhuna or a Coconutty Massala on our Menu's. We welcome you to try the first Indian restaurant in Watford to break away from the mainstream.
We came here as part of a large family group with 2 babies and a toddler. The staff were super accommodating and Alan was especially amazing.
The food was perfect. In fact this was the best Indian meal I have ever had.
Many thanks. We will be back.

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to do so on this occasion.
I was completely overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness shown to my elderly Dad yesterday when I accompanied him here for his birthday. A place that he regularly has frequented in the past with my Mum he chose to go here as it wasn’t too far from home. Mum was unwell and unable to join us so was strange just the two of us for once.
Having booked and informed the restaurant that it was his birthday he asked if it was possible to have something off the Tuesday menu despite it being a Monday. It was his favourite and just unfortunate he said that his birthday fell on a Monday this year! They informed him that this would be no trouble at all.
On arriving he was greeted with a Happy Birthday and the young girls serving were attentive and welcoming to both of us.
The food was delicious and despite a fabulous main course which more than filled us we decided to finish off with a coffee and desert. Dads desert was dressed with a Happy Birthday message a candle and was sung to by both waitresses. He was duly surprised but not as much as I was when he was told that the meal was on the house. Both of ours! He was a regular customer they said and their treat.
The desert and coffee or perhaps Dads meal but to offer the whole meal as complementary was truly a generous gesture and not only made Dads but my day also. Can’t begin to explain how lovely it was to see my Dad spoilt like that. Will be returning again with both parents before too long on their regular Tuesday spot. Thank you to all the staff for fabulous food and service that really went beyond either of our expectations.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food offered by what is effectively a chain restaurant, albeit a small chain on the North side of London.
The Tuesday Italy Night meal deal is excellent value. A great and generous selection of antipasti and although my main course of fillet of Sea Bass carried a £4 surcharge it was well worth the extra - a generous portion of fish, perfectly cooked and accompanied by a very tasty tiger prawn, lemon zest, cream & white wine sauce, crushed new potatoes & peas.
The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful, However, they seemed to have trouble remembering what we had ordered. It took two reminders before one of our party was brought the glass of white wine that she had ordered at the start of our meal, and my wife never received the glass of diet coke that she had ordered at the same time. We weren't charged for this but it seems strange that the staff forget to serve the highest profit items!

We are a small friendly restaurant close to the centre of Watford. We serve authentic freshly made lebanese cuisine and have an all weather garden area where people can eat, relax, maybe smoke a shisha pipe and forget they are in the Britain for a little while. We are open 11am till midnight, seven days a week.We can cater to large and small parties so if you are planning an evening out give us a call or pop in and see us.Hopefully we will see you soon.
I was really excited to come here after having so many people recommend it. We were sat upstairs where the Seating is very low on stools, sofas and little tables. I would have preferred to be sat at a proper table downstairs as I found it uncomfortable to eat like this.
Service was slow and poor. We had to find someone to order food, plates were not cleared away, had to ask several times for salt & pepper.
The food was very nice. The belly dancers were a nice touch!
Other reviews seem to highly rate the service so not sure what went wrong, perhaps just a bad night.

Went on an evening before a show and not disappointed. Wonderful chicken meals x 2 from the set menu and wine.
I love this place- v lovely waiter- They make such an effort - transforming the place in the evening with proper linen table cloths and napkins but what is more important- the food served, matches this high standard.
