Base Camp Istebna is an outdoor recreation centre in Polish Mountains. We provide accommodation, airport transfers, food and lots of attractions that can be tailored to your needs. We'll encourage you to get active. We offer Paintball, Rope Park, Mountain Bikes, Horse Riding, Orienteering, Skiing, Boot Camps, Team Building activities and anything else you would like to do in a beautiful region of Beskidy in all seasons.
I visited Base Camp Istenbna through a Polish friend recommendation on high rope courses and I must say it was so much fun! Other than the initial fear of height at the beginning, instructor Kuba reassured me that it would be fine. Kuba spent the time...MoreThank you very much for your review! We are glad you enjoyed it and hope to see you going through the other levels :-)

In the summer season it is the one of few possibilities for entertainment for the families with kids. To get there you need to hike up or take a cable car to the top station of Dedovka, which means you ned to buy separate tickets for both attractions, one in the start station and another above. During our visit the staff was not very helpful and provided confused information about the ticket prices. I highly recommend to double check the timetable of the cable car, otherwise you will need to wait another half an hour until the cable car staff will allow you to get back to your car. I can understand, that summer season is not the main one, but a little enthusiasm and customer oriented approach would make this experience much nicer. The service was really poor considering, how much money we have spent there. The kids have a good time, but in the end the whole experience was definitely not value for money. We left with the feeling, that they just tried to get as much money from us as possible, but provided very less service in return. I was very unsatisfied.

This place is quite worth taking the time to climb up there. The surrounding views are beautiful. The walk up the hill might be challenging for elder visitors.

The ski jump place is a modern and very nice construction. The view from the top is great. If you never be on the top of ski jump, you must go there and see the view.

The Historical Logging Switchback Railway in Vychylovka (near Nová Bystrica, Slovakia) is preserved section technically most interesting part of the former narrow-gauge zig zag logging railway located in Kysuce and Orava region. The railway was closed in 1971 and disassembled, except an 8 km section from Chmúra to Tanečník. Currently a 3.6 km section is used as a heritage railway for tourists.
The historical railway is part of open-air museum of folk architecture and living in Kysuce. It is great attraction for children and lovers of steam.

Janosikove Diery Gorge is one of the most beautiful hiking trails not only within National Park Mala Fatra, but the whole Slovakia and Central Europe. It is located in nature reservation Rozsutce and the valley river is forming numerous Waterfalls and rocky formations. The hiking in this valley is possible via imposant wooden Bridges and ladders.
Nice trip for whole family. Anybody from 3 till .., Just really not for very small kinds and elderly, handicaped - you have to climbed some large stones. Nice views from hills above the place. Facilities as parking, restaurants, bistro all there. Nature wonderful.

Top skiing spot for me in Slovakia. Not the biggest one but quality services and slopes always convince me to come back again. Not for professional skiers but for everybody who enjoys skiing in general

it was pouring with rain when we visited so we did not visit the whole park. Typical open air museum with wooden building. The restaurant was very cosy, typical dishes.
